ESS

ELECTION
The process is as follows:
Candidates have from the 30th of
July to the 7th of August to be
nominated by five students. To
be nominated simply have a
student email the eng rep stating
the nominees name, interested
position and email address
(guildengrep@my.uwi.edu) .
Two weeks after nominations
close there will be a vote to elect
the committee.
The ESS Executive:

Candidates interested in the


Executive positions will have
interviews one week after
nominations close and may also
produce a manifesto to be
shared with the faculty body
(optional). The entire faculty
will be able to vote on the
executive candidates.
Department Reps:

There will be no interviews for


department representatives.
Only students from within a
specific department will be
able to vote for that
department's rep.
Committee Positions:
Executive:
Vice President
Treasurer
Secretary
Student Coordinator
Public Relations Officer
Department Reps:
Mechanical
Electrical
Civil
Chemical
Geomatics
Vice President:

Assumes Role of president in


their absence.
Oversees Coordination of all
committees
Assumes role of office
manager
Work together with admin
Treasurer:

Keep all financial bills of


the society
Authrize all the society's
funds
Record all the society's
financial information
Pay all of the society's bills
Secretary:

Convene all society and


executive meetings
Record all meeting minutes
Present an annual report of
the terms work
Bring order to all meetings
Manage correspondances
and notices of the society
Student Coordinator:

Represent Student Interests


on the Executive
Organize Lectures, seminars
and workshops
Be in charge of welfare,
entertainment and sports
committees
Public Relations Officer:

Represent the society in


public affairs
Be the society's link to the
media
Control newsletter affairs
Liaise with schools and
college concerning lectures
and presentations
