OF THE BLESSED IMAGE OF ST. THERESE OF THE CHILD JESUS

Leader: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit

All: Amen.

Leader: Let us praise the Father Almighty for sending Jesus Christ who showed
us the hidden mystery of His Kingdom like the little children. From
those like of a child hidden in Christ, St. Therese of the Child Jesus was
chosen to preach the Good News of Your perpetual love. Your Holy
Spirit touched her to make her life a love offering of prayers and to
deny herself for the salvation of mankind through Jesus and His
church.

Let us now welcome the image of St. Therese of the Child Jesus and
praise the Almighty God for giving us St. Therese.

Priest: Our help is in the name of the Lord.

All: Who made heaven and earth.

Priest: The Lord be with you.

All: And with your spirit.

Priest: Almighty everlasting God, who do not forbid us to carve or paint

likenesses of your saints, in order that whenever we look at them with
our bodily eyes, we may call to mind their holy lives, and resolve to
follow in their footsteps; may it please you to bless + and to hallow +
this image(s), which has been made in memory and honor of St.
Therese of the Child Jesus. And grant that all who in its presence pay
devout homage to St. Therese of the Child Jesus may by her
 intercession obtain your grace in this life and everlasting glory in the
life to come; through Christ our Lord.

 Nicene Creed

Leader: Let us pray.

All: I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the
Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God
from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not
made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were
made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became
man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered
death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance
with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the
right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living
and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy
Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and
the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who
has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic and
apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and
I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world

Let us pray.

All: O glorious Saint Therese, whom Almighty God has raised up to aid and
counsel mankind, I implore thy Miraculous Intercession. So powerful
art thou in obtaining every need of body and soul our Holy Mother
Church proclaims thee a "Prodigy of Miracles . . . the Greatest Saint of
Modern Times."

Now I fervently beseech thee to answer my petition [mention here]

and to carry out thy promises of spending Heaven doing good on
earth . . . of letting fall from Heaven a Shower of Roses.
 Henceforth, dear Little Flower, I will fulfill thy plea "to be made known
everywhere" and I will never cease to lead others to Jesus through
thee. Amen.

 Community Prayer (to be said only if there is a Holy Mass)

Priest: Together with our faith and trust in the Lord, let us offer our prayers
to the Almighty Father that our commemoration of St. Therese of the
Child Jesus of her love to the Lord and the humility of her life will let
us achieve the true gift of modesty. Let our response be, Lord, help
us to live like St. Therese.

All: Lord, help us to live like St. Therese.

Leader: St. Therese prayed to Jesus through everything she did. Even while
she was doing chores, she did them for Jesus.

All: Lord, help us to live like St. Therese.

Leader: St. Therese was always kind to others. Even when people were
unkind, she responded with kindness.

All: Lord, help us to live like St. Therese.

Leader: St. Therese turned to Jesus at all times, times of happiness, times of
sadness, and in times of trouble. She was always faithful to Jesus.

All: Lord, help us to live like St. Therese.

Leader: St. Therese shared her time with others. She was patient with other
people and she listened to them.

All: Lord, help us to live like St. Therese.

Priest: Almighty Father, you promise Your kingdom for those who want to
be like the little children. Help us Lord, the hopefuls of the beliefs of
St. Therese of the Child Jesus so that through her prayers, we may
acknowledge Your endless glory. This we ask through Christ our Lord

Leader: Let us now unite our prayers by praying Our Lord’s prayer.
 All: Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom
come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day
our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those
who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver
us from evil. Amen.

Leader: Let us also call on the Blessed Virgin Mary, our mother, as we pray
the Hail Mary.

All: Hail Mary full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou among
women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of
our death. Amen.

Leader: God of all people, you gave us St. Therese as an example of holiness.
She was patient and kind to everyone who came her way. Help us to
be like her and do the best we can each day. May we share the love of
Jesus with our families and friends.
