Performance Task(Reaction paper for Educ 108)

Write a brief reaction paper to the article "On the state of the educational

technology in the Philippines: A Preface."

The text talks about how technology affects education and society. It also

mentioned who are the people/groups involved in the development of the

technology, specifically in the Philippines. First, the author pointed out the

government as the one responsible for the educational technology development.

The author mentioned movements that are very essential to solve the problem

on the education. One example is if the government will provide cheaper

alternatives that are still at par with the pricey ones, it will be a very good help

in the development of educational technology.

Second, the author said that we, teachers, should also be an instrument of the

development of educational technology. We can do this so if we would also be

open to the changes that is happening around us. We can be great instruments

if we keep on updating ourselves to be on the trend(for education technology).

We should also be wise and knowledgeable of the different platforms that we

can use to spread learning and information. We, teachers, should keep on

learning amidst the new normal since we are the facilitators of education that

would bring change to the society.

Therefore, I personally agree with the text on most of the points mentioned. It
is very evident that if we effectuate these points well, we would surely
transform educational technology into a more successful one.
