2. Part 1 – Database Design
2.1. Assumptions
-List all the assumptions made during normalisation and creation of ER-
diagram
2.2. Normalisation
-Normalise the database to 3rd normal form
-UNF (List all attributes in a single entity and show the repeating groups)
-1NF (Remove all the repeating groups from the entity in UNF)
-2NF (Display all the partial dependencies and remove the partial
dependencies)
-3NF (Display all the transitive dependencies and remove the transitive
dependencies)

-Create an ER diagram based on every entities and attributes obtained
through normalisation

3.1. Table Generation
-Create all tables obtained through normalization on SQL plus under a new
user.

query’s result.
