Analytical Techniques

1. Trend Analysis

In this analytical technique the previous data are analyzed in order to predict the future data. In

this technique past data plays an important role because if past data is incorrect or unreliable then

the prediction will also be unreliable

2. Coding

In this analytical technique all of the questions are grouped according to their categories which

makes the analysis of data easier. If quantitative data are collected then the analysis will be fast

and easier and if qualitative data are collected then analysis will be slower and difficult.

3. Typology

In this analytical technique all the questions are grouped according to their types and the data are

collected accordingly. The grouping of questions make analysis easier and objective is easier to

obtain.

4. Regression Analysis

In this analytical technique series of input are examined corresponding to their outputs. It is a

statistical technique and one variable is used to determine another variable.

5. Variance Analysis

In this technique the difference between the baseline and actual performance is calculated. In

other words it is the difference between the planning and actual performance of a project.
