1.Point charges 5 nC and -2 nC are located at (2,0, 4) and (-3,0, 5), respectively.

(a) Determine the force on a 1 nC point charge located at (1, —3, 7).

(b) Find the electric field E at (1, - 3, 7).

2. A point charge of 30 nC is located at the origin while plane y = 3 carries charge 10nC/m2 .
Find D at (0,4, 3).

3. Two point charges - 4 j µC and 5 µC are located at ( 2 , - 1 , 3) and (0, 4, - 2 ) , respectively and
a point charge 3 µC is located at the origin. Find the potential at ( - 1, 5, 2) assuming V(∞) = 0.

4. A point charge of 5 nC is located at the origin. If V = 2 V at (0, 6, -8), find


(a) The potential at A(-3, 2,6)
(b) The potential at B(1, 5, 7)
(c) The potential difference VAB

5. For the current density J = 10 z sin2 φ a ρ A/m2 , find the current through the cylindrical surface
