The right hand rule states as follows: "Grasp the wire in the right hand, with the thumb pointing in the direction of the current. Fleming's rule is used Where induced emf is due to fiux-cutting (Le. dynamically induced emf.) and Lenz's Law when it is due to change by flaciinkages (i.e, statically induced exm4.). Lenz’s law . The direction of the induced exmf. is determined by Lenz's law, inhich states that the current produced by the induced e.m./ opposes the change in flux. Lenz’s may also be stated as follows: In all cases of electromagnetic induction, an induced vottage will cause a current to flow in a closed circuit in such a direction that the magnetic field which is caused by that current will oppose the change that produced the current’. INDUCED E.M1 Induced e.m4, may be of the following two types: 1. Dynamically induced e.m.. 2. Statically induced e.m.f. 1, Dynamically induced e.m. Refer Figure 3.1.
