1. Babur

1. He believed that by the virtue of defeating Ibrahim Lodi, he had a claim over his entire kingdom. So he
didn't show much interest in negotiating with the Afghans @ Jaunpur.
2. At the same time, he knew that wiping them out will require an extensive long campaign, so he merely
contended with defeating them and forcing them to accept his suzerainty.
3. Against the local Afghan commanders who controlled individual forts / cities, he used a policy f force
and reconciliation.

2. Humayun

1. He wanted to carry forward dad's policy since he hadn't secured his back yet. But proved unable to
do so. Despite capturing Chunar in 1532, he neglected the Afghan affairs, let them strengthen and till
the last time, failed to understand the nature of their challenge. He kept on offering jagir to SSS!

3. Akbar

1. He had to fight the Afghans in BoP 2. Soon after he had to fight the Afghans of Jaunpur. They kept on
creating nuisance for him.
2. But Akbar didn't repeat the mistake of his father. Before tackling the Afghan problem, he secured his
back first in Gujarat and Rajputana. Then he marched on to them eventually to break their back.
3. Still he never trusted them enough and Afghans were not included in the mansabdari system in any
significant scale.

4. Jahangir

1. He followed a policy of inclusion with Afghans and recruited them in large numbers in his bureaucracy.

5. SJ

1. Continued with more inclusion and empowerment of Afghans in his nobility.
