Dispensing:
There are many ways to design a weighing area; however, it must be designed SO as to minimize
the generation of dust. By having adequate dust-collection equipment placed strategically,
material may be prevented from becoming airborne and from unnecessarily settling on table
and floor surfaces. This will greatly reduce the time required to clean each area after the specific
weighing is accomplished.
-The weighing must be performed on calibrated weighing devices that are sufficiently sensitive
to the quantity of materials being weighed.
-Each raw material must be weighed by one operator and checked by a second operator.
-A weigh ticket must be generated for each material weighed
-At the end of each raw material lot, reconciliation must be performed and any significant
discrepancies thoroughly investigated.
