To Whom It May Concern:

Over the past year, I have been able to observe and collaborate with Mrs. Emily
Barnett as one of her administrative mentors. I witnessed her ability to think
thoughtfully about topics and ask the necessary questions that encourage teams
to move forward. This, combined with effective communication, will ensure her
success as an educational leader.

As a part of her experience, she participated in Saydel High School’s leadership
team meetings. During her participation, she was able to provide insights as we
discussed our progress with standards referenced grading. Emily was also able
to skillfully pose questions that caused me to go deeper into my thinking.
Through her questions and insights, she helped me make adjustments so our
team could move forward in a productive manner.

Emily was dependable throughout the experience. She routinely checked in and
verified scheduled observations. She effectively communicated during face-to-
face interactions, as well. This was vital as she shadowed me on multiple
occasions. Throughout these experiences we dealt with many difficult and
sensitive situations. She handled herself in a calm manner, which was essential
for those stressful situations to run smoothly. Her ability to effectively
communicate helped create a positive and productive experience.

Emily has a number of attributes of a successful educational leader and I
recommend her for the role that she is applying. If you have additional
