I like all of them as I think every piece of art is magnificent. The painting I like the most is Peter Paul
Rubens's self-portrait because it looks so realistic that it can be confused even with a photo.
Similarities: they use the method of collage in their paintings, and they combine different
shapes to create a texture in them.
The first painting uses dark colors while the second one has bright ones.
2. Regarding both paintings, it seems to me that
the artists wanted to represent these scenarios
in a way people won't expect to be, just paint
them in a different way so people won't easily
understand what are they about. I like both as I think every piece of art is magnificent.
Not necessary. In my opinion, if art is
difficult to understand, it makes
people think about it in order to try to
interpret it. That's what makes it
interesting.
Every type of art is magnificent in the way they are.

FACTS OPINIONS
Vitebsk, St. Petersburg, Paris, the United States. He stood most of his life in France.

He studies many styles of art.

Bella Rosenfeld
In 1941.

In Saint-Paul de Vence, France.

Between 1910-1914, because it was in that time when he develops his own type of style and paints some of his most famous work.
Definitely in 1944, he had to experience the death of his first wife, I bet that was one of his saddest and darkest times.
I imagine that he was so in love with her because she was the inspiration of many of the paintings he made.
Because he was trying to stay in a safer place during World War II, since he was a jew..

Because his first wife Bella died and she was such an
important part of his life and along with her, his inspiration went
away for some time.

Too simple and sentimental.

love, simple life,
nature

Chagall stayed interested in the

power of good; should make
the world a better place.
No, I think they're just sentimental because it refers to his home town, nature and love, but it's not exagerating
Yes, as I really want to understand what's the porpose of each of his paintings.

To express how he felt about certain topics or to depict how art behaved during war.
I partially agree, it's true that art
must be an expression of love, but
it's just a part of it. There are many
other elements that make the
painting what it is. So, it's not all
about love.
Because many people like his painting, but also many people don't understand his art completely.
The painting I like the most is The Brithday.

As it is known, Chagall was totally in love with Bella, and I like how he
depict this enormous and deep love to her by painting him like if he was flying.

We can see a knife, a glass, a cake, and an empty plate, so they may be in the kitchen.

This painting uses both bright and dark colors, it's almost 50/50,
and that makes the painting more realistic and dynamic.
but
He might be Marc Chagall making a painting,
but the peculiar thing is that he painted him
with seven fingers.
Themes: Art, imagination.
Chagall could want to represent a situation
he does every day differently, and that's
why he painted 7 figures like a sign of that he's
very good at it.

This painting is abstract like I and the Village,

but not as sentimental as The Birthday.

Maybe that Chagall passes lots of his time just

painting, so he wanted to depict himself doing
what he loves the most.

From my point of view, it's too simple because

it only depicts a normal situation.

I think Chagall has better paintings, but I like

this one too since every piece of art is
magnificent for me.
