is the process of getting potential clients or customers interested in your products and services and also
involves researching, promoting, selling and distributing your products or services.

The goals of Marketing is to know and understand the customer so well that the product or service fits
him and sells itself. Ideally, marketing should result in a customer who is ready to buy. All that should be
needed then is to make the product or service available.

4.) What are the approaches of Marketing?

Commodity Approach or Product Approach

the focus is placed on the product or it is an approach on the marketing on commodity wise basis. In
other words, the study relates to the flow of a certain commodity and its movement from the original
producer right up to the ultimate customer.

Institutional Approach

This considers the nature and character of various middlemen and related agencies and also the
arrangement and organization of marketing machinery.

Functional Approach

The functional approach is one of the methods used in classification of activities that occur in the
marketing processes by breaking down the processes into functions.
The Decision Making Approach

This approach is of vital importance from the viewpoint of marketing management. Various decisions
are taken at every level of management.
