Career Mentorship Program

Dear Mentee,
Thank you for signing up for upGrad’s Mentorship Program and taking part in this
collaboration to make the careers of tomorrow. We would like to welcome you
aboard to get yourself upgraded from the advanced university leaders and
professionals.

The main goal of the mentorship calls is to help you set your career path and
progression by studying and discussing your background in depth. Your mentor will
guide you and help you build your career path towards your goal.
Mentorship Process
Overview

Here’s an overview of how the process looks like. Before starting, ensure you’ve
received the following from your Student Mentor:

1. Tentative Timeline (start date and end date of the call)


2. Details of your mentor
3. Agenda for your call
4. Access to Mentornity platform

Overall, there will be 4 mentorship calls for every learner during the program. In order
to make the most of your mentorship calls make sure you are:

• Well aware of the objectives and agenda


• Comfortable with the platform usage
Steps to be Followed

1. You must have received an email invitation from Mentornity platform. Open that
email and accept the invitation.
2. Accepting the invitation will allow you access to the platform.
3. You can also log in using your registered email address on www.mentornity.com.
Click on Forgot Password and set a new one.
4. Update your profile information and check for your mentor’s page.
5. The slots provided by your mentor will be displayed on the page. Select a slot and
book a meeting.
6. Be on time for the meeting.
7. Post the meeting, fill the feedback form.
8. Refer to this booklet or watch this video for more information.
9. In case you are facing any issues, please flag it to mentorship@upgrad.com.
FAQs How to book a call on mentornity platform?

I am unable to book a call due to some error. What should I do?


Write to mentorship@upgrad.com and attach the error
screenshot/message. The mentorship team will check the issue and
will get back to you within 24hrs.

How to re-schedule a call on mentornity?


Please ensure you attend the call as per the scheduled time. If in case, you
can’t attend it, inform your Industry Mentor about it and cancel the booked
meeting with a note. This will allow you to re-schedule the meeting.

No slots provided by the mentor. What should I do?


Please get in touch with your mentor on the WhatsApp group and request for
slots. If still there is no response, write to mentorship@upgrad.com mentioning
your cohort name and mentor name with the issue.
Do I need to prepare anything for the mentorship calls?
• Brush through basic concepts.
• Read the agenda of the call carefully.
• Keep your questions/concerns ready and make sure you get the answers to
all of these by the end of the call.

Mentorship call is already done, still, I need more clarity on some points.
How can this call be setup?
• Ensure you are ready with your doubts before the call and get all the
answers by the end of the call.
• No extra mentorship calls can be scheduled if already taken one.
• You can reach out to your Industry Mentor on the WhatsApp group.
• You will have to wait for the next mentorship call.

Where can I find the results of my mentorship call?

• Please speak to your Student Mentor.
• You can also write to mentorship@upgrad.com highlighting the issues.
Do’s and Don’ts

Do’s
• Schedule the meeting with your mentor from your end.
• Read the complete agenda before the call. Call your Student Mentor in
case of any confusion.
• Be on time and if in case there is any emergency, inform your mentor
about the same in advance and cancel the booked meeting on the
mentornity platform.
• Be prepared with all your questions before the call and ensure you get
the answers by the end of the call.
• Submit the feedback of the mentorship call on the mentornity platform
post the mentorship call.
• Speak to your Student Mentor if there is any concern.
Don'ts
• Do not cancel the meeting without informing your mentor.
• Do not message your mentor on WhatsApp directly. Use the
WhatsApp group instead, and post your queries/issues there. Your
mentor will address the same.
• Do not use any negative language with your mentor during the call.
