Rendering of the article

The title of the article is “Hollywood is creating a void like the one that
permanently stunted European film after Spanish flu”. It is taken the website
www.theconversation.com. The main idea of the article is to make a remark that a
few months ago there was still hope that the cinemas would be engulfed with
people once more.
At the beginning of the article the author ensures that in many ways this
could be possible thanks to Christopher Nolan’s latest sci-fi film Tenet. On the
author’s opinion Tenet succeeded globally, except for the USA. This is evidenced
by the figures as over 85% had come from outside the US. Then author’s explains
that Wonder Woman 1984, the Candyman and Dune remakes were postponed
because of COVID-19 domination. All theatres in Los Angeles (and New York)
still closed due to the pandemic. So it's not strange why Tenet got the smallest box
office specifically in the USA. Also the author pointed out that cinema is showing
clear signs of life all over the worlds, despite the closure in the US. But at the same
time the author is sure that all the studios wish to protect their investment as a good
movie costs a huge amounts of money. According to author’s words, Hollywood
might wish to revisit its history to fully comprehend the threat of Covid drawing a
precise parallel to the events which took its part 100 years ago (Spanish flu).
At the end of the article the author draws the conclusion that Hollywood can
easily lose its position as international box office has become more important in
recent years. Mostly thanks to China which has become a huge cinema consumer
in a very short space of time.
