VERBAL NOTE
The Embassy of Romania in the Islamic Republic of Iran presents its compliments to the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran and has the honor to inform the following:
The Embassy of Romania in the Islamic Republic of Iran it feels terribly sad to express the
disappointment regarding the act of distrust at the diplomatic mission.
It is to be noted that through these actions it was violated the 29 article of the Vienna Convention
that stipulates the following: The person of a diplomatic agent shall be inviolable. He shall not be
liable to any form of arrest or detention. The receiving State shall treat him with due respect and
shall take all appropriate steps to prevent any attack on his person, freedom or dignity.
The embassy would highly appreciate if the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic
of Iran will remediate this inconvenience which stops the process o f developing friendly relations
among the Romanian diplomatic corps and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Embassy of Romania in the Islamic Republic of Iran avails itself of this opportunity to renew
to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran the assurance of its highest
consideration.
