CHAPTER II

MARKETING ASPECT

The business we chose is to supply sand and gravel. As we know the economy is growing rapidly

and cities will eventually develop more. Therefore, more structures will be built or renovated and this

resulted to the idea of starting to supply sand and gravel. The name of the business is Sand Castle

Enterprises, whose sole focus is to supply sand and gravel. The target markets are those in construction of

residential and commercial buildings. But since the business will start small, the focus primarily is those

middle income earners who intend to own their own house. Though they are our focus, any commercial

building projects indeed welcome to our service if need. As previously stated, a growing economy would

lead to expanding and more developed city; Sorsogon City (Figure 3) has that potential as the city itself is

crowded and unable to construct more buildings without renovating or tearing down other structures. Also,

residentials have been increasing and soon more houses will be built for new families to live in.

But due to location, how will we advertise the business considering that the distance from the city.

The problem about this is how can we promote the business further, not just the nearby places but to the

city of Sorsogon. Generally saying businesses must have a way to advertise themselves to the public so that

they will be aware of the said product or service they provide. Even with the location and distance

difference, customers are reachable in some way.
