Abstract

This experiment is to study about the photosynthesis with sunlight exposure. In photosynthesis, water is
one of the products besides glucose and oxygen. In this experiment, we use a method that show the
occurrence of photosynthesis by the presence of water where we connect a test tube fill with plant and
water to other test tube fill with water and pipette. Pipette used to observe the water level. This
experiment show the effect of sunlight exposure to the water level in pipette as products from
photosynthesis in plant.

Methods

1. 4 test tubes were labeled A, B, C and D

2. The plants used were weighed with same mass by using electronic weighing balance for each
test tubes
3. Each plants was inserted inside the test tubes and filled with water until full.
4. Another 4 test tubes were also filled with water at the same level and in each of this test tubes,
pipette were inserted.
5. Then, a connecting tube used to connect each test tube with plants to other tubes.
6. The mouth of test tube of both test tubes were tightly closed by using tape.
7. Repeat steps 5-6 to other test tubes B,C and D.
8. After that, each test tube is put in beaker to give support and was put outside to expose the
plant to sunlight.
9. The water level on test tubes were observed.
