TEST I- ESSAY

1. This pandemic is not just about health crisis, but also an unprecedented socio-economic crisis.
Stressing every one of the countries it touches, it has the potential to create devastating
social, economic and political effects that will leave deep and longstanding scars.  Every day,
many people are losing their jobs, income or any source of living with no way of knowing
when normality will be returned. So as a student I would suggest to the president for all the
workers out there to avoid going out because it is one of the reasons why we still have a lot
of Covid positive cases here in the Philippines that makes our economy in crisis. If all of us
will be more responsible and obedient we’ll not be where we are right now. Technology is
building its way in our society, to avoid going out of their houses at least make people’s jobs
all online basis. By that we will be lessening the deficiency of the budget of the government.
But also, before making all online basis, at least fix the internet provider of all the citizen
who are subscribing to such provider because it might also the reason of them to lose their
jobs when internet is slower than a snail. It does not just apply to workers, but also for the
students who has online class, slow internet connection might be the reason for them to fail
their subjects.
2. Taxes are the lifeblood of the government, without it our economy will fall. In order for us to
recover from this crisis we need to be one. The government will be the leader as always, and we
the citizens are the members. When the government gives us some rules and regulations, as a
member we should follow them. And also in order for the government to have a fund, lessen
the unemployed and make them employed. Give them some job according to their expertise
and also for those parents who are not eligible for any of such, the government can conduct a
livelihood program so that they can make a living and pay for whatever they have to.
3. I think violation committed by PhilHealth is not for their own good but for the betterment of
many people. So for me, yes there will be effect, many people will protest and so on, but
eventually they will realize that what happened is for good intentions and also maybe Philhealth
will held responsible for whatever action they made.
4. Since there is a new variant in other country, I highly recommend to ban those who wanted to
go inside the Philippines or to close the airports from receiving international flights since
travelling is the #1 source of virus. New variant can never enter the Philippines jurisdiction if the
government will think properly and will avoid having tourist or anyone coming from other
country. Doing such is not just for themselves, but for all the people. It can also help us from
negative budget because case will no longer worsen since government will take an immediate
action.
5. Value Added Tax also known as VAT is a tax on the value added by every seller to the purchase
price or cost in the sale or lease of goods, property or services in the ordinary course of business
or trade as well as on importation of goods in the PH, whether for personal or business use. Vat
has 3 kinds. The VAT on sale of goods or properties, Vat on importation of goods and Vat on sale
of services and use or lease of properties. Vat covers all sales of goods, properties, services, or
lease of properties.
6. Input Vat is the VAT paid on the domestic purchases or VAT paid on the importation of goods or
services by the taxpayers. Input VAT also arises from incentives provided by law such as the
transitional input vat and the presumptive input vat. While Output VAT is the VAT passed on to
customers or clients by a VAT taxpayers on his sales to customers. Output vat has 2 types, the
