E-PORTFOLIO (Website) - 2020-2021

Purpose:
The audience for this portfolio is interested adult professionals who may recruit
you for a school/college/university, an internship, and/or a professional
job/career.
This portfolio must be professional and is an expansion of your resume.

Before you create your actual website:

1. Non-Mona Shores email
a. If you don’t have a non-school, professional sounding email (create an email account for
yourself in Google - make sure professional and school appropriate)
2. Resume
a. Save your Resume as Your Name Resume 2020-2021
b. Save as PDF also
3. Writing Sample
a. Current - junior or senior year
b. Preferably a research paper or another from an English course
c. Save as PDF also (make sure a clear file name)
4. Professional Photos
a. Recent
b. Senior photos
5. Plan your E-portfolio website
● Professional name
● Mandatory Pages
○ Contact (name and non school email address)
○ Welcome/Home/Autobiography/About Me (professional style photo and write up
about yourself)
○ Link to PDF Documents (resume, writing sample mandatory) others optional
(letters of recommendation with permission from the author, creative poems,
artwork, college/university acceptance letters, etc)
● Other Pages (Include AT LEAST 1)
○ Activities/Extracurriculars
○ Volunteer Experience
○ Work Experience
○ Awards/Honors/Leadership
Experiences/Scholarships
○ Certifications
■ Career Tech Center, Lifeguard,
Certiport, CPR, etc
6. Weebly
a. Sign up for a personal website - using your non mona shores email address
b. Portfolio or Personal themes work the best
c. Click Start editing and register a professional and personalized ​subdomain of weebly​ for
your website
d. Create all of your mandatory pages as well as at least one of the other suggested pages
e. Take time to develop your pages carefully and correctly
