PERFORMANCE TASK 5 9
Making a Vlog

One way of capturing unique and exciting everyday experiences is

through vlogging. Vlogging comes from the words video and blogging—
the creation of an online journal or information website where an
individual can write about his or her experiences. The concept of
vlogging is the same, except that the content is in video format.

Using your phone or digital camera, make a fifteen-minute vlog about an

exciting moment in your life. Follow the steps provided below.

Things to Do Today

1. Choose the date that you want to vlog. Then, create a list of things
you are to do on that date. Write them down in the box above.
2. Choose a home activity or event that you want to vlog. Then, decide
on how you want to record the activity or event. Do you want to
show yourself in the video or just stay behind the scenes? Do you
want to talk in the video or just use background music and text
throughout the vlog?

13
3. f you decide to talk throughout the video, write a draft of your script
in the box provided below. However, if you decide to use background
music and add text to the video, then write down the scenes you
want to capture and the text you wish to add. While vlogs usually
contain candid moments, it is better to plan to structure your vlog
well.

4. You may ask an adult to help you edit, add background music and
text to the video, or improve its quality.
5. When you are done with your vlog, present it to your family

PERFORMANCE TASK 6 10
Writing a Journal Entry about Your Day

Learning at home is fun. A home is a place where family members sleep,

eat, play, learn, and have fun together. t is also where you meet good
role models. What fun activities at home did you do today? What things
did you learn from your role models in the family? Talk about these
things in your journal. Use the sample journal entry below as your guide
in writing.

Monday, February 18, 2019

What a fun day it was at home today! I learned a lot from my family.

After our morning chores, we talked about family stories and played
jokes with my siblings. We also found out that Kuya Mark is quite the
jokester. He told us a lot of jokes, and we all had a good laugh.

In the afternoon, we studied Math. Ate Rica was able to solve a

difficult word problem. How I wish I could solve difficult math problems,
too. I will ask Ate Rica to teach me how next time.

I really think learning has become even more exciting

at home.
