Letter of Support for the “Fostering GHG reduction in the hotel industry in four Countries ”
project proposal, Hotels4Climate-II

I the undersigned, {name and surname}, with my capacity of {position and organization}, I
would like to state our strong support and interest to the project “Fostering GHG reduction
in the hotel industry in four Countries” that will be submitted to the European Climate
Initiative (EUKI) of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation
and Nuclear Safety (BMU) by the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB).

The tertiary sector and particularly the hotel sector are high in the priorities of the Ministry
of +++++ for improving energy efficiency, as we recognize the great potential of energy
saving and GHG emissions reduction resulting from these sectors. Also, the circularity of
those hotels, the actions related with capacity building are very important and top priority
for the Government.
The project “Fostering GHG reduction in the hotel industry in four Countries” will contribute
to the national objectives of energy efficiency measures in the tertiary and industrial sectors
(non-ETS) but also to the National Circular Economy Plan. Thus, we consider the project’s
activities and outcomes very important.
