one jumbo skein of worsted weight yarn. Prayer

Materials:
 Worsted Weight Yarn
o Red Heart Super Saver Jumbo: 1 skein 313 Aran
 Crochet Hook (J/10 or 6 mm)
 Yarn Needle

Size: Shawl measures 15” by 55”

Gauge:
Rows 1 and 2 = 14” wide x 2” at shell points.
CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge

Note:
This shawl is worked from the center out on both sides of beginning ch.

Special Abbreviations:
Vst = (dc, ch 1, dc) all in same st or space.
Shell = (hdc, 2 dc, hdc) all in same space.

Instructions:
First Half
Ch 54.
Row 1 (Wrong Side): Dc in 6th ch from hook (counts as first Vst), * ch 2, skip next 5 ch, ([dc, ch
2] 3 times, dc) all in next ch, ch 2, skip next 5 ch, Vst in next ch; repeat from * across; turn.
Row 2: Ch 4 (counts as dc and ch-1), dc in first ch-1 space, * skip next ch-2 space, [shell in next
ch-2 space] 3 times, skip next ch-2 space, Vst in next ch-1 space of next Vst; repeat from *
across working last Vst in ch-4 space; turn.
Row 3: Ch 4, dc in ch-1 space of first Vst, * ch 2, skip next shell, ([dc, ch 2] 3 times, dc) all in
first dc of next shell, ch 2, Vst in ch-1 space of next Vst; repeat from * across working last Vst in
ch-4 space; turn.
Rows 4-36: Repeat Rows 2 and 3 sixteen more times, then Row 2 again. Fasten off.

Second Half
Turn to work across remaining loops of beginning ch.
Row 1 (Wrong Side): With wrong side facing, join yarn in first ch; ch 4, dc in same ch, * ch 2,
skip next 5 ch, ([dc, ch 2] 3 times, dc) all in next ch, ch 2, skip next 5 ch, Vst in next ch; repeat
from * across; turn.
Rows 2-36: Repeat Rows 2-36 same as for First Half but do NOT fasten off at end of Row 36.

Edging
With right side still facing, ch 1, sc over end of last row, * (sc, ch 2, sc) all over end of next row;
repeat from * across.
Fasten off.
With right side facing, attach yarn on opposite side and repeat Edging. Weave in ends

Materials:
 Worsted Weight Yarn
o Red Heart Super Saver: 2 skeins 319 Cherry Red
 Crochet Hook (J/10 or 6 mm)
 Susan Bates® Crystalites® Tassel Tool, Art. 14110
 Yarn Needle

Size: Shawl measures 35” at center without tassel

Gauge:
Rows 1-6 = 4” from beginning to center point.
CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.

Notes:
Ch 2 at beginning of hdc rows does NOT count as a stitch. Ch 3 at beginning of dc rows DOES
count as a stitch.

Instructions:
Ch 3; join with a slip st to first ch to form ring; slip st into ring.
Row 1 (Right Side): Ch 1, 5 sc in ring; turn.
Row 2: Ch 2, hdc in first sc, [ch 1, hdc in next sc] 4 times; turn.

Rows 10-41: Repeat Rows 6-9.
Row 42: Repeat Row 6; do not turn but work sc evenly across row ends of long edge, taking
care to keep work flat; join with a slip st to first sc; turn.

Edging:
Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc in first sc, ch 1, * sc in front loop of sc just made, ch 1, skip next sc, sc in next sc,
ch 1; repeat from * around entire shawl; join with a slip st to first sc. Fasten off. Weave in
ends.

Finishing:
Using Tassel Tool, create a 5 1/2” tassel. Securely attach to center point of shawl.

Trinity Stitch Prayer Shawl

blessings, and well-wishes with this homemade crochet
shawl. The blue represents peace and the green
represents life, but you're welcome to personalize the
pattern and use your own color combinations, as well.
The tassels represent "wings" and it's crocheted on a
bias to represent that life can sometimes be messy and
crooked, but it's still always beautiful.

Materials:
 Worsted Weight Yarn
o Malabrigo Rios in 27 Bobby Blue (CA) and
416 Indiecita (CB)
 Crochet Hook (I/9 or 5.5 mm)

Size: One size fits most; 14” x 47”

Gauge: 12 rows and 16 sc = 4” as pattern repeats

Special Stitch:
Trinity Stitch (T-st): Sc3tog by inserting hook into same st as last st made, draw up loop, [insert
hook into next st, draw up loop] 2 xs, yoh, draw yoh through four loops on hook, ch 1. (one T-
st made)

Note:
Stitches worked on the bias (as you work the piece will slant making a rhombus shape instead
of a rectangle).

Instructions:
With CA, ch 51.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in ea ch across. (50 sc)
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in 1st st, 24 T-st across row, sc in last st. (2 sc, 24 T-st total)

days, or just wear a loose tank underneath as it

Instructions:
First Half
Chain 66.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, *ch 4, sk next 3 ch, (sc, ch 3, 2 dc) in next ch, sk next 3 ch, sc in
next ch; repeat from * across, turn.
