Gauge:
Rows 1 and 2 = 14” wide x 2” at shell points.

This shawl is worked from the center out on both sides of beginning ch.

Instructions:
First Half
Ch 54.
Row 1 (Wrong Side): Dc in 6th ch from hook (counts as first Vst), * ch 2, skip next 5 ch, ([dc, ch
2] 3 times, dc) all in next ch, ch 2, skip next 5 ch, Vst in next ch; repeat from * across; turn.
Row 2: Ch 4 (counts as dc and ch-1), dc in first ch-1 space, * skip next ch-2 space, [shell in next
ch-2 space] 3 times, skip next ch-2 space, Vst in next ch-1 space of next Vst; repeat from *
across working last Vst in ch-4 space; turn.
Row 3: Ch 4, dc in ch-1 space of first Vst, * ch 2, skip next shell, ([dc, ch 2] 3 times, dc) all in

Finishing:
Using Tassel Tool, create a 5 1/2” tassel. Securely attach to center point of shawl.

shawl. The blue represents peace and the green
represents life, but you're welcome to personalize the
pattern and use your own color combinations, as well.
The tassels represent "wings" and it's crocheted on a
bias to represent that life can sometimes be messy and
crooked, but it's still always beautiful.

Materials:
 Worsted Weight Yarn
o Malabrigo Rios in 27 Bobby Blue (CA) and
416 Indiecita (CB)
 Crochet Hook (I/9 or 5.5 mm)

Size: One size fits most; 14” x 47”

Gauge: 12 rows and 16 sc = 4” as pattern repeats

Special Stitch:
Trinity Stitch (T-st): Sc3tog by inserting hook into same st as last st made, draw up loop, [insert
hook into next st, draw up loop] 2 xs, yoh, draw yoh through four loops on hook, ch 1. (one T-

Note:
Stitches worked on the bias (as you work the piece will slant making a rhombus shape instead
