PROPOSAL FOR CHILDREN’S EVANGELISM PROGRAMME FOR THE SUNDAY SCHOOL

Calvary greetings to you.

The evangelism department of the youth class decided to include the Sunday school in one of our
special programmes for the year 2010. This came up as a result of the burden in our hearts to
engage the children in both spiritual and extra-curricular activities for sound development of their
body, soul and spirit.

The programme is designed to span for four hours and it is slated to come up in May. The proposed
venue for the programme is the Church hall. So as to end the programme early, we plan starting by
10am. Our audience expectancy is about two hundred children; to include invited children from
schools and other churches. Below are the highlights of the programme:

HIGHLIGHTS

 Bible Study – Children will be divided into various study groups to learn the word of God. It
will also serve as an avenue to engage them in discussions about their general lives. A word
structure bible study will be provided so as bring the participants’ focus to a general focal
point.
 Message – Based on the theme of the programme, there will be a short exhortation that will
serve as an eye-opener to the children on general issues.
 Prayers – Prayers will be said for the children. They would also be ministered to by the
ministers in charge.
 Questions and Answers – This is an open forum where children will have the oppourtunity to
ask questions and appropriate answers will be supplied by anchors of the programme
 Media Presentation – There will be a short media presentation (film show) which will bother
on the challenges of childhood and how they can be overcome.
 Games – A couple of creatively designed games has been chosen to engage the children.
Apart from drilling their mental abilities, it will also provide a platform for the children to
learn and interact.
 Arts and Craft – Children will be divided into various groups to perform a particular task that
will be creative. This will teach them team work and creativity.
 Special Presentation – There will be ministration in songs, recitations, playlets and other
renditions.

These programmes have been well-researched and planned in order to meet the general needs of
the children, but we will also appreciate any suggestions from you that can help improve the
programme outline.
