III. Anticipatory Guide.
Philippine literature is literature associated with the Philippines from prehistory, through its colonial legacies, and
on to the present. Pre-Hispanic Philippine literature was actually epics passed on from generation to generation,
originally through an oral tradition.

V. Activity 1:
After reading the selection, answer the following questions:
1. What did Dodong and Teang feel about their marriage after almost 10 years.
2. What did Dodong realize after being married for a long time?
3. What would happen if Dodong object to his son’s decision to marry?

VI. Assignment:
The consequences of our actions can either be good or not good. The story, “Footnote to Youth” gives
valuable lessons as we look at the outcomes of the characters’ decision. Fill in the CAUSE AND EFFECT
