Technical Description

Alfa Stand Inspirations

Alfa is a newest, innovative, simple and different concept on how to create paint colours recombiinating
paint formulas in function of the desired color.

Alfa don't use the common bases but a staminal product that become a finished paint on the point of sales.

Alfa is a technical biomimetic application of chemical engineering applied to the varnishing products field.

Expanding this concept to an architectural representation, the biomimetics is a natural and innovative
point of view on which is based the Exhibition Stand of Alfa for The European Coating Show.

The bird's nest stadium of Pechino, the world best biomimetic application in architecture,
is the inspirational example of our idea because
1. the nest is where new life (or concepts) borns and develops
2. the nest is intended as a protection of Alfa's new born ideas
3. the nest is alike a cell is for a body

Alfa concept is a new stamina cell ready to create a new generation of tinting systems.

Technical Description

Alfa Stand Details

The area reserved for ALFA is a regular square of 11x6 mt. with the large and the two small sides open free.
The most important target to reach is to create a visible and higher structure to interpreting the biomimetic
nest concept, able to attact the attention of the visitors.
Around the nest perimeter place hold four logos of the company, to be visible from all directions.
The rainbow strip contained into each logo is extended following the architectural shape.

The nest will create fascinating lights effects including a rational support for illumination.
Its material should be alluminum for its light weight, due to the necessity of suspending it.
In the actual version is provided a safety pillar in the middle of the front perimeter, but eventually is not needed
because the nest is well connected on the back wall through other two pillars.
We will decide on the basis of the ECS technical approvation.

Cause the limited area available, the "ColorTest" with company colors is located at the side of the ColorSelf,
showing a possible integration with it.
While are provided two couples of ColorTest, in different colors, like specified in your brief, at the two front
corners of the area.

Technical Description

A front central prism make support to the AlfaLab, surrounded by two Lcd large displays placed at
60 degrees to show their contents to people walking from left and right directions.

On the left and right sides of the back wall there are two large space for communication.

While on the short sides are placed office-like sittings to meditate on the two innovative machines:
the manual and the ColorSelf with Color Tester.

Large free space is left for traffic and standing people, in the center there are also a reception desk,
a cabinet/shelf and the access to the office rooms.

The internal walls forming two office rooms have strips of glass/perspex/mirrors to lightweight the perspective
vision, and eventually looking through.

Large use of KodakYellow and WarmLight Grey underlines the institutional colors of Alfa equipments, as like as
the floor, thought in carpet or melamine tiles in Yellow.

The "nest" is proposed in three color options: "white/lightGrey", "aluminum natural color" or "black/darkGrey"

A WiFi connection should be previewed, and to be considered an Augmented Reality app to describe
the products showed during the exhibition.
