I'm thrilled to greet you and to be applying for this job offer in your
reputable company, known by its excellent coffee standards and customer service, I
will like to be part of it contributing with my knowledge, experience, and passion
for this industry.
I started my career in my hometown in a small coffee shop, and now, years
later, I'm in this city of opportunities as the Head Barista/Assistant Manager in
one of the fast-growing specialty coffee companies at the moment. In Blacksheep, I
started as a Barista, and thanks to the hard job, the good feedbacks from the
customers, and my liability for taking responsibilities I started to progress
relatively fast. I took the position of Head Barista, which discovered to me a new
passion: training people. In the last months I trained the team from my store,
sharping them skills making of them one of the strongest teams in the company -I
based this affirmation on our customer reviews, and the fact that we obtained the
highest scores in the company for the Compliance, OPS, and Coffee audits in the
last period-, I've also trained new starters for other stores, including an advance
training for new Assistant Managers and General Managers, and I took care of the
training of Head Barista candidates. Some of my responsibilities as a trainer are:
show them Leadershing skills, How to train skills, Brewing theory and methods (V60,
Chemex and Aeropress), Espresso and filter recipes, Latte art skills, Grinders,
between others.
I also did an Assistant Manager training, which gave me the opportunity of
being the second hand of my GM, assisting him running the store, driving the sales
- beating every week the targets, managing the stock and orders, designing rotas,
approving holidays for the team, and paid them.
This is only a brief resume of what I can do, in addition to that I would like
to attend and interview to speak about the job and also demonstrate my skills
behind the bar.
Many thanks for your attention.
Best regards,
Gabriel.
