Indications for Tetracycline

To reduce the development of drug-resistant bacteria and maintain the effectiveness of Sumycin
'250' and Sumycin '500' Tablets (Tetracycline Hydrochloride Tablets) and other antibacterial
drugs, Sum- ycin '250' and Sumycin '500' Tablets (Tetracycline Hydrochloride Tablets) should be
used only to treat or prevent infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by
susceptible bacteria. When culture and susceptibility information are available, they should be
considered in selecting or modifying antibacterial therapy. In the absence of such data, local
epidemiology and susceptibility patterns may contribute to the empiric selection of therapy.

Tetracycline hydrochloride is indicated for the treatment of the following infections:

Rocky Mountain spotted fever, typhus fever and the typhus group, Q fever, rickettsial pox and tick
fever caused by Rickettsiae.

Respiratory tract infections caused by Mycoplasma pneumoniae

Lymphogranuloma venereum caused by Chlamydia trachomatis

Psittacosis and ornithosis due to Chlamydia psittaci

Trachoma caused by Chlamydia trachomatis, although the infectious agent is not always
eliminated, as judged by immuno-fluorescence

Inclusion conjunctivitis caused by Chlamydia trachomatis

Tetracycline hydrochloride is indicated for the treatment of uncomplicated urethral, endocervical


or rectal infections in adults caused by Chlamydia trachomatis

Nongonococcal urethritis caused by Ureaplasma urealyticum Relapsing fever due to Borrelia


recurrentis

Tetracycline hydrochloride is also indicated for the treatment of infections caused by the following
gram-negative microorganisms:

Chancroid caused by Haemophilus ducreyi

Plague due to Yersinia pestis (formerly Pasteurella pestis)

Tularemia due to Francisella tularensis (formerly Pasteurella tularensis)

Cholera caused by Vibrio cholerae (formerly Vibrio comma)

Campylobacter fetus infections caused by Campylobacter fetus (formerly Vibrio fetus)

Brucellosis due to Brucella species (in conjunction with streptomycin)

Bartonellosis due to Bartonella bacilliformis

Granuloma inguinale caused by Calymmatobacterium granulomatis


Because many strains of the following groups of microorganisms have been shown to be
resistant to tetracycline hydrochloride, culture and susceptibility testing are recommended.

Tetracycline hydrochloride is indicated for treatment of infections caused by the following gram-
negative microorganisms, when bacteriologic testing indicates appropriate susceptibility to the
drug:

Escherichia coli

Enterobacter aerogenes (formerly Aerobacter aerogenes)

Shigella species

Acinetobacter species [formerly Mima species and Herellea species]

Respiratory tract infections caused by Haemophilus influenzae

Respiratory tract and urinary tract infections caused by Klebsiella species

Tetracycline hydrochloride is indicated for treatment of infections caused by the following gram-
positive microorganisms when bacteriologic testing indicated appropriate susceptibility to the
drug:

For upper respiratory infections caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae (formerly Diplococcus


pneumoniae)

Skin and skin structure infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus. Tetracyclines are not the
drugs of choice in the treatment of any type of staphylococcal infections

When penicillin is contraindicated, tetracycline hydrochloride is an alternative drug in the


treatment of the following infections:

Uncomplicated gonorrhea caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae

Syphilis caused by Treponema pallidum

Yaws caused by Treponema pertenue

Listeriosis due to Listeria monocytogenes

Anthrax due to Bacillus anthracis

Vincent's infection caused by Fusobacterium fusiforme

Actinomycosis caused by Actinomyces israelii

Infections caused by Clostridia species

In acute intestinal amebiasis, the tetracycline hydrochlorides may be a useful adjunctive therapy
to amoebicides.
In severe acne the tetracycline hydrochlorides may be useful adjunctive therapy.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION


Adults: usual daily dose is 1 to 2 g: for mild to moderate infections: 500 mg bid or 250 mg qid;
higher dosages such as 500 mg qid may be required for severe infections.

For children above eight years of age: usual daily dose is 10 to 20 mg/lb (25 to 50 mg/kg) body
weight divided in four equal doses.

Therapy should be continued for at least 24 to 48 hours after symptoms and fever have subsided.

The treatment of brucellosis, 500 mg tetracycline four times daily for three weeks should be
accompanied by streptomycin, 1 g intramuscularly twice daily the first week and once daily the
second week.

For treatment of uncomplicated gonorrhea, 500 mg every six hours for seven days.

For treatment of syphilis, a total of 30 to 40 g in equally divided doses over a period of 10 to 15


days should be given. Close follow up, including laboratory tests, is recommended.

Uncomplicated urethral, endocervical, or rectal infection in adults caused by Chlamydia


trachomatis: 500 mg by mouth, four times a day for at least seven days.

In cases of severe acne which in the judgment of the clinician requires long-term treatment, the
recommended initial dosage is 1 g daily in divided doses. When improvement is noted, usually
within one week, dosage should be gradually reduced to maintenance levels ranging from 125 to
500 mg daily. In some patients it may be possible to maintain adequate remission of lesions with
alternate day or intermittent therapy. Tetracycline therapy of acne should augment the other
standard measures known to be of value.

In patients with renal impairment (see WARNINGS) total dosage should be decreased by
reduction of recommended individual doses and/or by extending time intervals between doses.

In the treatment of streptococcal infections, a therapeutic dose of tetracycline should be


administered for at least 10 days.

Concomitant therapy: Absorption of tetracyclines is impaired by antacids containing aluminum,


calcium, or magnesium, and iron containing preparations.

Food and some dairy products also interfere with absorption.

Administration of adequate amounts of fluid with the tablet and especially capsule formulations of
tetracycline is recommended to wash down the drug and reduce the risk of esophageal irritation
and ulceration (see ADVERSE REACTIONS)

Candida Albicans overgrowth can be very dangerous: When Candida


shifts from non-pathogenic to pathogenic form, it produces root-like

Candidiasis or thrush is a fungal infection (mycosis) of any of the Candida species, of


which Candida albicans is the most common. Candidiasis encompasses infections that
range from superficial, such as oral thrush and vaginitis, to systemic and potentially life-
threatening diseases. Candida infections of the latter category are also referred to as
candidemia and are usually confined to severely immunocompromised persons, such as
cancer, transplant, and AIDS patients.

Superficial infections of skin and mucosal membranes by Candida causing local


inflammation and discomfort are however common in many human populations. While
clearly attributable to the presence of the opportunistic pathogens of the genus Candida,
candidiasis describes a number of different disease syndromes that often differ in their
causes and outcomes. Commonly referred to as a yeast infection, it is also technically
known as candidosis, moniliasis, and oidiomycosis.

Classification
Candidiasis may be divided into the following types:[5]:308-311

• Diaper candidiasis
• Congenital cutaneous candidiasis
• Perianal candidiasis

Signs and symptoms


Most candidial infections are treatable and result in minimal complications such as
redness, itching and discomfort, though complication may be severe or fatal if left
untreated in certain populations. In immunocompetent persons, candidiasis is usually a
very localized infection of the skin or mucosal membranes, including the oral cavity
(thrush), the pharynx or esophagus, the gastrointestinal tract, the urinary bladder, or the
genitalia (vagina, penis).

Candidiasis is a very common cause of vaginal irritation, or vaginitis, and can also occur
on the male genitals. In immunocompromised patients, Candida infections can affect the
esophagus with the potential of becoming systemic, causing a much more serious
condition, a fungemia called candidemia.

Children, mostly between the ages of three and nine years of age, can be affected by
chronic mouth yeast infections, normally seen around the mouth as white patches.
However, this is not a common condition.[citation needed]

Symptoms of candidiasis may vary depending on the area affected. Infection of the
vagina or vulva may cause severe itching, burning, soreness, irritation, and a whitish or
whitish-gray cottage cheese-like discharge, often with a curd-like appearance. These
symptoms are also present in the more common bacterial vaginosis.[citation needed] In a 2002
study published in the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, only 33 percent of women
who were self-treating for a yeast infection actually had a yeast infection, while most had
either bacterial vaginosis or a mixed-type infection. Symptoms of infection of the male
genitalia include red patchy sores near the head of the penis or on the foreskin, severe
itching, or a burning sensation. Candidiasis of the penis can also have a white discharge,
although uncommon.[citation needed] However, having no symptoms at all is common, and a
more severe form of the symptoms may emerge later.[citation needed]
Causes

Candida yeasts are commonly present in humans, and their growth is normally limited by
the human immune system and by other microorganisms, such as bacteria occupying the
same locations (niches) in the human body.

In a study of 1009 women in New Zealand, C. albicans was isolated from the vaginas of
19% of apparently healthy women, i.e., those that experienced few or no symptoms of
infection. External use of detergents or douches or internal disturbances (hormonal or
physiological) can perturb the normal vaginal flora, consisting of lactic acid bacteria,
such as lactobacilli, and result in an overgrowth of Candida cells causing symptoms of
infection, such as local inflammation. Pregnancy and the use of oral contraceptives have
been reported as risk factors, while the roles of engaging in vaginal sex immediately and
without cleansing after anal sex and using lubricants containing glycerin remain
controversial.[citation needed] Diabetes mellitus and the use of anti-bacterial antibiotics are
also linked to an increased incidence of yeast infections. Diet has been found to affect
rates of symptomatic Candidiases in some animal infection models, and hormone
replacement therapy and infertility treatments may also be predisposing factors. Wearing
wet swimwear for long periods of time is also believed to be a risk factor.

A weakened or undeveloped immune system or metabolic illnesses such as diabetes are


significant predisposing factors of candidiasis. Diseases or conditions linked to
candidiasis include HIV/AIDS, mononucleosis, cancer treatments, steroids, stress, and
nutrient deficiency. Almost 15% of people with weakened immune systems develop a
systemic illness caused by Candida species.[citation needed] In extreme cases, these
superficial infections of the skin or mucous membranes may enter into the bloodstream
and cause systemic Candida infections.

In penile candidiasis, the causes include sexual intercourse with an infected individual,
low immunity, antibiotics, and diabetes. Male genital yeast infection is less common, and
incidence of infection is only a fraction of that in women; however, yeast infection on the
penis from direct contact via sexual intercourse with an infected partner is not
uncommon.

Candida species are frequently part of the human body's normal oral and intestinal flora.
Treatment with antibiotics can lead to eliminating the yeast's natural competitors for
resources, and increase the severity of the condition[citation needed].

Diagnosis

Diagnosis of a yeast infection is done either via microscopic examination or culturing.

For identification by light microscopy, a scraping or swab of the affected area is placed
on a microscope slide. A single drop of 10% potassium hydroxide (KOH) solution is then
added to the specimen. The KOH dissolves the skin cells but leaves the Candida cells
intact, permitting visualization of pseudohyphae and budding yeast cells typical of many
Candida species.

For the culturing method, a sterile swab is rubbed on the infected skin surface. The swab
is then streaked on a culture medium. The culture is incubated at 37 °C for several days,
to allow development of yeast or bacterial colonies. The characteristics (such as
morphology and colour) of the colonies may allow initial diagnosis of the organism that
is causing disease symptoms.

Treatment
In clinical settings, candidiasis is commonly treated with antimycotics—the antifungal
drugs commonly used to treat candidiasis are topical clotrimazole, topical nystatin,
fluconazole, and topical ketoconazole.

For example, a one-time dose of fluconazole (as Diflucan 150-mg tablet taken orally) has
been reported as being 90% effective in treating a vaginal yeast infection. (Care should
be taken by people who have allergic reactions to azole group of medicines; this medicine
has different levels of contradictory reactions with other medicines as well. ) This dose is
only effective for vaginal yeast infections, and other types of yeast infections may require
different treatments. In severe infections (generally in hospitalized patients),
amphotericin B, caspofungin, or voriconazole may be used. Local treatment may include
vaginal suppositories or medicated douches. Gentian violet can be used for breastfeeding
thrush, but when used in large quantities it can cause mouth and throat ulcerations in
nursing babies, and has been linked to mouth cancer in humans and to cancer in the
digestive tract of other animals.
C. albicans can develop resistance to antimycotic drugs, such as fluconazole, one of the
drugs that is often used to treat candidiasis. Recurring infections may be treatable with
other anti-fungal drugs, but resistance to these alternative agents may also develop.

History
The genus Candida and species C. albicans was described by botanist Christine Marie
Berkhout in her doctoral thesis at the University of Utrecht in 1923. Over the years, the
classification of the genera and species has evolved. Obsolete names for this genus
include Mycotorula and Torulopsis. The species has also been known in the past as
Monilia albicans and Oidium albicans. The current classification is nomen
conservandum, which means the name is authorized for use by the International
Botanical Congress (IBC).

The genus Candida includes about 150 different species, however, only a few are known
to cause human infections: C. albicans is the most significant pathogenic species. Other
Candida species pathogenic in humans include C. tropicalis, C. glabrata, C. krusei, C.
parapsilosis, C. dubliniensis, and C. lusitaniae.

Society and culture


Some alternative medicine proponents postulate a widespread occurrence of "systemic
candidiasis" (or candida hypersensitivity syndrome, yeast allergy, or gastrointestinal
candida overgrowth). The view was most widely promoted in a book published by Dr.
William Crook, which hypothesized that a variety of common symptoms such as fatigue,
PMS, sexual dysfunction, asthma, psoriasis, digestive and urinary problems, multiple
sclerosis, and muscle pain, could be caused by subclinical infections of Candida
albicans. Crook suggested a variety of remedies to treat these symptoms, ranging from
dietary modification, prescription antifungals, to colonic irrigation. With the exception of
the few dietary studies in the urinary tract infection section conventional medicine has
not used most of these alternatives, since there is limited scientific evidence to prove their
effectiveness, or that subclinical "systemic candidiasis" is a viable diagnosis.

Vaginal yeast infections are caused by an overgrowth of Candida albicans, a fungus that
normally lives in your body. Certain conditions can create an environment for the fungus to
proliferate, and some of the common symptoms are a cheesy white discharge, irritation,
intense burning and itching, and redness in the area.

• Plain Yogurt

1. Eat yogurt. It contains helpful bacteria (live cultures, including acidophilus and
bifidus) that destroy yeast. It also works when applied topically. Insert some into the
vagina using a finger or plastic tampon applicator. Use only plain yogurt with active
cultures.

2. Take lactobacillus/acidophilus supplements. Use according to the directions on the


bottle.

3. Douche with a solution of 1 to 3 tbsp. vinegar in a quart of water. Repeat once a day
while having symptoms, but no longer than a week.
4. Decrease or eliminate sugar and sugary foods. Sugar promotes yeast growth.

5. Use a garlic clove as a suppository. Garlic contains a natural anti-fungal agent. Peel a
fresh clove, wrap it in gauze and insert it into the vagina.

6. Try gentian violet. It's a traditional remedy for yeast and other infections, and can be
found in pharmacies. Swab the area with it once or twice a day. Make sure to use a thick
pad - it stains everything.

7. Use an herbal douche. Combine equal amounts of sage, raspberry and comfrey with
1/4 part goldenseal. This can be combined with cider vinegar.

8. Use an over-the-counter yeast infection remedy. Apply as directed.

Yeast infections are no fun, but here are a few, simple and natural ways to treat and/or
prevent yeast infections from happening....

Eating yogurt daily that containers Lactobacillus acidophilus cultures result in


a decrease of getting a yeast infection.

Dawn Dishwashing liquid helps to kill the Candida albicans fungus that is
usually on your underpants after wearing them all day.

Rub a few drops of the Dawn on the crotch of your underpants and scrub
under water before washing.

Garlic Powder

Flavoring your foods with garlic powder also helps to get rid of a yeast
infection. Garlic not only boosts immunity, but it also acts as an antibacterial
and an antifungal.

Take a salt and white vinegar bath soak. Fill the tub with about six inches of
warm water (enough to cover your infected area) and add 1/2 cup regular
table salt and 1/2 cup white vinegar. Use your hand to mix the water to make
sure the salt has dissolved and moved around. You don't want to sit on the
salt pile.

Sit in the water for about 15 minutes, making sure your knees are apart. The
salt matches your natural saline level of your body while the vinegar helps to
re-balance your pH level.

How to get rid of yeast in the body. Well, you really don't want to get rid of yeast
in the body. It's natural to our body and we need it to offset imbalance of the

normal person. So that's really important. Also, wearing proper clothing. With
women, we want to be using cotton panties as opposed to synthetics. You don't
want to be sitting in wet clothes for too long. Good hygiene -- you want to be
wiping from front to back and not vice versa. And those are just...those are some
of the ways that you can be preventing an overproduction of yeast, but you don't
want to get rid of your yeast altogether."

and destroy me. Every time I drank soda, my fingers would ache. That aching wasn't
present when I stayed away from soft drinks. Seemed like a logical thing to do then.

Next, I noticed white refined bread. I can eat it in small quantities. Every time I overdid
it -- like a sub sandwich or hamburger buns -- my knee would ache. I quickly learned to
stay away from those two foods. But I really didn't know what specific ingredients

Candida albicans is a strain of yeast which causes the infections


in your body. Technically, it's a parasitic yeast-like fungus
(doesn't sound very healthy even at the start, now does it?).

There is always some degree of Candida living in your body. It's


just part of the normal make up of your system. This yeast is
normally found in the intestines, the genital tract, the mouth
esophagus as well as the throat.

For the most part, there are other substances in your body that
control the overgrowth of this yeast. In fact, there exist over
100 types of natural flora (which is much nicer than describing
them as the bacteria they really are!) in your intestinal tract
alone. These normally help keep Candida albicans in check.

body. But the infection occurs when the Candida grows out of

So much of the food we eat -- and have eaten for more than a

In between these two steps they're subjected to refining, heating,


pressurizing not to mention chemical manipulation. The result? It

It's also a food pumped full of artificial additives and artificial

ingredients therein - and a rise in the consumption of all sorts of

Mario S A common way of developing an infection of Candida is
through the continued use of antibiotics. Other ways include
long-term use of birth control pills, toxins that enter your body

a professor of microbiology at the University of Tokyo School of

that helped to contribute to this reaction.
Dr. Iwata explained that he has examined many of these situations.

The Pottenger Cat Study

Hi Mario,

Before we get into the diet, I wanted to give you a little


reasoning behind why I recommend the things I do. Keep in mind
that an official Candida Diet has never been developed because
the Center for Disease Control does not consider candida yeast to
be a health problem.

If you have found my website and have subscribed to this


Newsletter because you suffer from vaginal, skin, oral or
intestinal yeast, you, like myself, know differently. This is
becoming a major health problem in the United States and I
suspect in all the other developed countries as well. Even the
medical community is starting to admit, that yeast is now the
fourth most prevalent pathogen being detected in the blood
stream, in those that are hospitalized for chronic disease.

I personally believe that this rise in yeast cases and the rise
in all other major diseases such as heart disease, cancer and
diabetes, is the direct result of what we have been eating during
the industrial age. We are severely weakening our immune systems,
which allows these diseases to take control of our bodies. Even
our brain size has shrunk by 10%! We are literally devolving and
physically going backwards as a species!!

The Pottenger Cat Study is a perfect example of what is now


happening to humans in the developed world since the advent of
the industrial age. It's not as bad in third world countries that
do have enough food. They more often than not, eat close to what
nature intended and eat what we have been eating for 100,000
generations.

From 1932 to 1942, Dr. Francis Marion Pottenger Jr, conducted an


experiment to determine the effects of heat-processed food on
cats. The study was prompted by the low survival rate of his cats
undergoing operations on their adrenal glands.

He fed his cats raw milk, cod liver oil, cooked meats and sweet
breads. This was considered the optimal diet for cats. Pottenger
also noticed many of his cats had decreased reproductive capacity
and kittens quite often were born with skeletal deformities and
organs failed soon after birth.

By a twist of fate and because more and more people kept donating
cats, he was unable to keep up with the demand of feeding them
cooked meat. So he resorted to feeding them raw meat to meet the
demand. He decided to feed the raw meat to a control group of
cats and noticed within a few months that these cats were
healthier, their offspring were more vigorous and these cats had
a higher post operative survival rate.

The contrast between the two sets of cats was so startling, it


prompted Dr. Pottenger to perform a controlled experiment to
verify these facts scientifically.

The cats were divided into 5 groups. Two of the groups were fed
raw meat and raw milk. The other three groups were fed processed
foods: pasteurized, evaporated and condensed milk. The experiment
spanned 4 generations for a total of 900 cats.

All four generations of cats that were fed raw milk and raw meat
remained healthy throughout their lives.

The first generation of cats fed the processed food diet


developed diseases and illnesses at the end of their lives. The
second generation developed diseases and illnesses in the middle
of their lives. The third generation developed diseases and
illnesses at the beginning of their lives and many died before
they were 6 months old. There was no fourth generation because
the third generation was either sterile or their offspring died
before birth.

As for applying his results to human nutrition, Dr. Pottenger


said, "While no attempt will be made to correlate the changes in
the animals studied with malformations found in humans, the
similarity is so obvious that parallel pictures will suggest
themselves."

There is no similar experiment in medical literature. The


findings were supervised by Dr. Pottenger along with Dr. Alvin
Foord, professor of pathology at the University of Southern
California and a pathologist at the Huntington Memorial Hospital
in Pasadena. These studies met the most rigorous scientific
standards of their day.

Does this study give you an understanding of why children are now
getting diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, adhd,
autism, cancer, etc etc etc? Also, 50 years ago there was no such
thing as a fertility clinic!
Although it is good for you, I'm not saying we all need to eat a
raw food diet because humans are not cats. But the study suggests
that it is best to avoid processed foods if you want to avoid
chronic disease and illness, including chronic candida yeast
infections.

The Truth About Dairy Nutrition

As you probably know by now dairy nutrition products are


not allowed on the Candida yeast diet. Mainly because of
the chemicals and antibiotics used on the cow that are
passed on to you in the dairy products it produces. There
are other reasons too and this report gets into the facts
about dairy nutrition and what dairy can do to your health.
After you read it, you may not want to eat dairy ever
again.

After you are born you typically will nurse from your
mother's breast just as all animals do with their young.
This milk is designed to take you from a baby to a 24 pound
toddler in very little time. It will be the quickest growth
spurt in your entire life as you triple your birth weight
in 1 to 2 years.
Cows are very similar as a mother cow only produces milk
after the birth of her calf. That calf will go from 90
pounds to 1000 pounds or more over the course of 2 years.
That's 11 times its birth weight! An astounding amount of
weight by anyone's standards. In order to do that this
milk has to be designed with tons of sugar an fat. Sugar
that feeds Candida yeast and packs on the pounds.

There is another difference between human milk and cows milk.


Human milk, first and foremost, is designed to provide for the
growth of the brain before body size. Cows milk is not, it is
designed to make the animal get big as fast as possible.

All animals need the lactase enzyme in order to digest


lactose, which is the sugar found in milk. Humans lose 90
to 95% of this enzyme between the ages of 18 months to 4
years. The lack of this enzyme and the extremely acidic
nature of pasteurized milk and cheese encourage the growth
of bacteria, mostly bad, in our intestines. This bad
bacteria weakens the good bacteria and contributes to yeast
infections and reduced immune function.

During pasteurization the milk is heated to 150 degrees for


30 minutes then the temperature is reduced to 55. This
process destroys the enzymes that would allow you to digest
the calcium found in the milk or cheese. So this calcium is
no longer bioavailable. It destroys the minerals, b12 and
b6 vitamins, good bacteria and lactic acid that protect you
from disease. It alters the cortisone factors that help
combat allergies, makes the sugars indigestible, and turns
the fats into toxic substances.

Butter however contains the enzyme amylase that allows it


to be fully digested so other than the fat it is not as bad
for you. You can either use it or try coconut oil as a
substitute.

Science knows that cancer and almost all disease are caused
by acidity, because it weakens the immune system due to the
lack of oxygen to the cell. This lack of oxygen causes the
cell to mutate into cancer, and it begins to use sugar as a
fuel source by a process of fermentation. The fermentation
process produces acids that are excreted from the cell
causing the area around the cell to get more acidic. This
allows the cancer to easily reproduce and spread because
the acidity severely weakens the immune system in this
area. This effect is furthered along by the resulting
higher cholesterol levels from eating pasteurized dairy,
which restricts the blood flow throughout the body further
reducing oxygen to the cells. The added acidity it creates
cuts off the oxygen supply to the entire body.

Not only that but are you familiar with Elmer's glue? You
know the common white glue your kids will use for school
projects. Well it's made from milk! All they do is add
acid then drain off the excess liquid. So what happens when
you drink milk or eat some cheese and it mixes with the
acid in the stomach? It turns to glue resulting in constipation
and flatulence.

The standard excuse for daily dairy consumption is we need


the calcium so we have strong bones. BS! Researchers at
Yale, Harvard, Penn State, and the National Institutes of
Health found no evidence of this concerning dairy
consumption nor does it prevent osteoporosis. Matter of
fact....it causes it!

The National Dairy Council itself revealed that the highly


acidic altered proteins of dairy foods actually leach
calcium from the body. Yale University looked at 34 studies
done in 16 countries on osteoporosis rates. They found that
countries that consume the most meat and dairy nutrition
have the highest rates of osteoporosis. Another study found
that 40 million women have osteoporosis and only 250,000
women that live in Africa have the disease. Matter of fact,
of the 40 tribes that live in Kenya and Tanzania, only one,
the Maasai have osteoporosis. The Maasai as it turns out
are a cattle owning and dairy consuming tribe, the rest
aren't. The Maasai are also nomads living in make shift grass
huts with no modern conveniences, so they are consuming
their dairy foods raw.
However, our sedentary lifestyles contribute to
osteoporosis. Bone is like muscle; it grows and becomes
stronger when you perform weight bearing exercise on a
regular basis. So lifting weights as a part of any exercise
regimen will decrease your chances of developing
osteoporosis.

You also get much higher levels of calcium and other


minerals from fruits and vegetables. Consuming high amounts
of dairy actually blocks iron absorption contributing to
iron deficiency in women not to mention the calcium
leaching effect on the bones. If you're concerned about
getting enough calcium consider eating high calcium foods.
High calcium foods are kale, collard greens, mustard
greens, cabbage, kelp, seaweed, watercress, chickpeas,
broccoli, red beans, sesame seeds and raw nuts.

Dairy nutrition has been linked to other health problems as


well. They include:

Dairy also causes an over production of mucous in the body.
This mucous can literally lead to chronic bronchitis. My
youngest daughter and I are living proof of this. If she
drinks milk everyday within a week she has bronchitis. I
have the same problem and went through this as a child but
no one figured it out. The result was bronchitis every
year, pneumonia 8 times, and loads of antibiotics.

According to the Food and Drug Administration, "Virtually


100% of the cheese products produced and sold in the U.S.
has detectable pesticide residues."

One of these toxins is Dioxin, one of the most toxic


substances in the world and is commonly found in dairy
nutrition products. Remember too that when you eat dairy
you are also ingesting antibiotics, pesticides, steroids,
and hormones just as if you were eating meat directly
because of modern commercial farming practices.

Under normal conditions a cow produces 10 pounds of milk a


day, but in the factory farm they are injected with bovine
growth hormones to produce 100 pounds a day. They are also
kept in a state of constant pregnancy and birth to further
stimulate milk production.

Dairy nutrition is also high in saturated fats and we know


that these fats are a direct cause of cancer, high blood
pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, diabetes, and
the ever growing obesity epidemic after the fats are
pasteurized. These diseases are the leading killers of us
modern people.

So basically, dairy nutrition products are for those that


like to be sick and want a diseased body.

Good alternatives to milk are rice milk, oat milk, almond


milk and coconut milk. Be sure to check the label for sugar
and salt content and go with the lowest depending upon your
tastes. You have to like it or you won't use it. If you
absolutely must consume dairy, stick with non-fat. A
fermented dairy nutrition product in the form of low-fat
yogurt is acceptable on an occasional basis as well. The
best of all worlds of course is clean water and avoid the
rest, the above are after all processed
foods and less than ideal.

Why Grains Are Not Suggested on the Candida Diet

Hi Mario,

A lot of people ask me, "Why can't I eat grains, especially


wheat?" They don't understand the connection between grains
and Candida yeast infections. So in this report I am going
to address that issue and I hope it clears it up. I will
also be addressing all other grains and beans as well.

Prior to 10,000 years ago we lived as hunter-gatherers


killing our food and gathering plant foods that we could
eat. We definitely ate meat but that is going to be
addressed in the next Newsletter.

Our plant foods were fresh and we ate roughly 150 different
types of plants. I have a book called, "Wild Edible Plants
of the Western United States". There are 302 plants listed
in this book that are edible so that gives you an idea just
what kind of variety we had available to eat. Fresh plant
foods are loaded with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants
so our bodies were well nourished in this regard.

These plants were high in fiber and we could eat them raw
if we wanted. We picked them every few days as needed. Some
of them we may have cooked and some of them I'm sure we
didn't. For roughly 2 million years we did this, some
cultures still do, and our digestive systems adapted to
this meat and plant diet.

Then about 10,000 years ago a few civilizations appeared


out of nowhere. The Egyptians, the Mayans, the Incas,
Babylon, and civilizations in China.

With the advent of these cities came the practice of modern


day agriculture or it could be the other way around. Which
came first? I do not know but they do go hand in hand.

Somehow we figured out how to genetically engineer the


wheat plant so it ended up with a soft-shell and would not
fall off the stalk until we harvested it. Previously it had
a hard shell and fell off the stalk on its own making it a
waste of time to try to eat or harvest.

If you have ever seen the little baby corn on the cob
you’re looking at ancient corn. We figured out how to
engineer it to grow bigger so we could harvest it as well.
Or should I say the Europeans did and they brought it with
them.

About the same story occurred with other grains around the
world including rice in China. All of them went through
this same process of genetic engineering.

About 6000 years ago pottery was invented and we figured


out we could store these grains until a later date so we
could eat them. This is when civilization really took off
and cities started popping up all over the world because of
modern agriculture. Agriculture literally allowed the birth
of modern day civilization and things would be much
different today if it had not been discovered.

However, we were never designed to eat this way. It is


truly a very new development in our 2 million-year history.
And in the last 100 years we have taken the consumption of
grains to a whole new level of nutritional insanity.
Today over 95% of these grains are highly processed and bad
fats and chemicals are added to almost all of them. I don't
think I have to explain the obvious result of consuming
chemicals but the fats I certainly do, and that will be in
another one of these Newsletters.

Agricultural man from 6000 years ago consumed whole organic


grains and even this resulted in a reduced lifespan and
stature. Did you know that presently the Chinese are
beginning to eat more meat? Today adults who grew up mostly
on grains are now consuming more meat and these adults are
having their children eat more meat. These Chinese children
are on average 2 inches taller than their parents when they
reach adulthood. Interesting fact isn't it? A meat based
diet would seem to provide more nutritional benefits
allowing the body to grow taller and stronger.

The grain consuming ancient man also showed more infant


mortalities, more deaths from infectious disease,
nutritional deficiencies, and lowered immune function after
adopting this diet. The sugar from these "whole" grains,
which they are when digested, impairs your white blood cell
function and white blood cells are a major part of your
immune system. How do we know all this? Fossil records!
This is not pure conjecture on my part, its scientific
fact. References Below.

This is also the reason for the obesity epidemic you see in
the world today. These grains cause a spike in your blood
sugar levels which in turn causes a spike in your insulin
level. The insulin gathers up this blood glucose and stores
it on the body as fat for use at a later date if needed.

Vegetables on the other hand are complex carbs that slowly


release their sugars into the body without creating a spike
in blood sugar levels. This in turn does not cause insulin
levels to spike. Plus, they are loaded with antioxidants,
mineral and vitamins the body needs to survive.
Ancient man needed this function before the advent of
farming to help him survive the winter. This is what would
happen. In the fall, fruit sources would become ripe and
ready to pick and eat and I assure you ancient man pigged
out on these foods. They would also go to any length in the
fall to gather honey as the ‘sweet tooth’ has been with
us a long time. The consumption of these foods at this time
of year probably lead to a little weight gain, just in time
for winter, because excess blood sugar is stored as fat by
insulin.

Today we consume this sugar year round to the tune of about


75 pounds per human and 95% of the grains we have been
eating in the last 100 years are highly refined. I assure
you we have not adapted to this garbage in the last 6000
years much less the last 100! These grains don't even
resemble what ancient man was eating when farming started
along with the resulting health problems. So imagine the
compounded health effects from our diets versus theirs. Is
it any wonder cancer, heart disease and diabetes for
starters are out of control?

This over consumption of sugar leads to chronic high insulin


levels, which also lead to reduced growth hormone and
glucagon levels. These hormones are responsible for burning
fat and promoting muscle development. So in other words, the
affects of the sugar from grains not only makes you fat but
also prevents you from burning fat and developing muscle.

In addition to that, insulin usually knocks down the high


sugar levels created by grains to levels that are too low
in a couple hours. The result is you are now hungry again
because of this low blood sugar, and what do you think you
crave? That’s right, more simple carbs and sugar from the
very source that is causing this problem to start with. It
is a viscous circle that is repeated over and over again.

Consider this, without milling and cooking all grains are


simply inedible. So they grind it and it simply becomes
fiber and flour, just add water and you have paper mache.
And when digested, will cause severe digestive problems in
any primate. Any elementary school teacher should be able
to tell you that.

Paper Mache...yummy...reminds me of the glue you get when


you drink a glass of milk. No wonder I feel so bloated if I
eat a bowl of whole grain wheat cereal with milk? I've just
ingested a wad of paper and glued it into a big
ball....yummy.

In addition to the above, grains, because they are simple carbs,


have been found to:

Lower HDL cholesterol, the good cholesterol, and raise


triglycerides.

They raise insulin levels, which makes you fat and leads to
diabetes.

They have been associated with increased risk of breast cancer.

They turn LDL cholesterol into lipoprotein(a), the really really


bad cholesterol.

They definitely contribute to yeast overgrowth, toxic bowel, and


impair the liver's ability to detoxify the body.

Pregnant women on high carb diets form small placentas while


pregnant. This limits the ability to transfer nutrients to the
fetus.

Grains and legumes reduce the absorption of nutrients like


calcium, iron and zinc.

They weaken the immune system and accelerate aging.

Etc, etc etc. There is no reason to eat them. The only


carbohydrate, sugar, requirement in the human body is those of
the red blood cells who need a little bit to function. The rest
of the body does not need carbs at all.

Potatoes and the Candida Diet

Most people are aware that there are poisons in the eye of
potatoes but many aren't aware that the poisons solanine
and chaconine, are found throughout the entire potato. Wild
potatoes of course have a much higher level because we have
slowly genetically engineered these poisons out of the
potato over the years, yet they are still there.

Solanine and chaconine are glycoalkaloid poisons found in


species of the nightshade family, such as potatoes. They
can occur naturally in any part of the plant, including the
leaves, fruit, and tubers. It is very toxic even in small
quantities. Both have fungicidal and pesticidal properties
and are part of the plant's natural defenses.

Even with these poisons naturally found in the potato it


still has a high rate of fungal breakouts so they are
treated heavily with fungicides. The Incas figured out that
if they freeze-dried the potato it would prevent fungal
breakouts. We still produce instant potatoes this very way
today.

However, the Incas did not eat potatoes. They would instead
feed them to those they conquered because they will go
farther than normal foods. This left more of the spoils of
the conquered peoples for themselves. Pretty smart huh?
Feed the conquered slaves the trash food and save the best
for yourself.

A diet high in potatoes will lead to severe vitamin A


deficiency and can cause blindness in children.

Because they are a simple high starchy food they are


converted to sugar in the intestine very quickly and cause
a spike in blood sugar. This excess sugar feeds yeast and
cancer in those that have it. Insulin will then spike and
knock down these levels as it picks up the sugar in the
body and stores it as fat.

Legumes and Beans

Legumes and beans were never eaten by ancient man for the
same reason. They contain poisonous alkaloids that would
protect the bean from being eaten in the wild. They also
contain cyanogens such as cyanide. Lima beans for instance
secrete cyanide gas when boiled.

These toxins are the reason you must soak and cook your
beans. The soaking and cooking process neutralizes the
toxins so they are safe to eat. But, I highly doubt ancient
man ever bothered with this, especially before the advent of
iron pots. Therefore, we did not eat and are not designed to
eat these beans either, are we?

Corn and the Candida Diet

Most people think corn is a vegetable, it is not. It is a


grain. As a grain, it comes with all of the negative health
effects of a grain and then some. But, it is also our
biggest cash crop so let's not get in the way of making a
buck shall we?

Its major extract is fructose corn syrup, a simple reducing


sugar. It's most commonly found in soda and the average
American consumes 56 gallons of soda a year. It is second
only to soybeans as the most genetically engineered food.

Recent research has suggested that corn was responsible for


the demise of certain Native American tribes. With the
arrival of the Spanish and their discovery of corn, corn
subsequently spread throughout the New World. The non corn
growing Native Americans' eating patterns shifted away from a
hunter-gatherer society to a diet based mostly on corn.
Researchers have studied the bones of these tribes before and
after the introduction of corn. They found that after the
introduction of corn in their diet, they had a much higher
incidence of anemia, osteoarthritis, dental cavities,
infections and other health issues not evident earlier.

An article in the Wall St Journal on Feb 23rd 1998, "Corn


Crop Peril", refers to a substance called aflatoxin that
infects corn, peanuts, and other crops. Aflatoxin is
produced by the fungi aspergillus and is the most toxic
substance in the world.

Another article in the Wall St Journal on July 29th 1998,


"Texas Journal", revealed that 62% of the corn crop was
contaminated by aflatoxin with levels as high as 1000 ppb.
The grain was rejected for human consumption but was
approved for animal consumption!

Folks! They feed this stuff to cows and your pets! Any
veterinarian will tell you that dogs have a higher cancer
rate than humans. I wonder why? Check your labels on your
pet foods and if it contains corn put it back on the shelf!

Two new studies found mercury in almost half of the samples


tested of high-fructose corn syrup. In addition, almost a
third of the products which listed HFCS as the first
ingredient contained mercury.

“Mercury is toxic in all forms,” said Dr. David


Wallinga of the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy
and co-author of both studies. “Given how much
high-fructose corn syrup is consumed by children, it could
be a significant additional source of mercury never before
considered.”

The first study found mercury in nine of 20 samples of


commercial HFCS. The second study found mercury in almost
one-third of 55 brand-name foods.

And yeast is an immune system reaction to mercury. Swell


huh?

Soy and Your Health

There is a lot of information about soy not being the health food
it is claimed to be. There are also tons of studies suggesting it
is good for you. All you have to do is do a Google search to
find the research from both sides of the ongoing argument.
I believe the truth is somewhere in between and soy in moderation
is best way to go.

From what I have read and I've read a lot from both sides. The
fermented soy products are the best soy foods to eat. They reduce
the questionable trypsin inhibitors and phytates that can cause
negative health effects. They include tempeh, miso and tamari.
If you are a soy eater I would keep it to one serving a day.

The Bottom Line…the sugar from grains no matter how


"whole" feeds Candida yeast and destroys your immune
system, plain and simple.

The Benefits of Eating Meat

Hi, Mario,

Most people these days think meat is bad for you but there
are benefits of eating meat that everyone should be aware
of. They should also know what has gone wrong with our
meats and why some health professionals recommend you don't
consume too much red meat. This report will explain what are
the best meats to eat and why, along with the importance of
fats in our diet.

780,000 years ago after an extinction event, Peking man


(homo erectus) suddenly appeared. Peking man is generally
recognized as the first form of humans. The second form of man,
homo sapiens neanderthalis suddenly appeared after an extinction
event 127,000 years ago. 47,000 years ago the newest updated
version of man, homo sapiens, suddenly appeared on the planet
after an extinction event and ice age. Homo sapiens neanderthalis
disappeared 34,000 years ago after a magnetic reversal and short
ice age. Homo sapiens, us, survived.
For the next 37,000 years homo sapiens were hunter-gatherers,
like their predecessors were for thousands of years and consumed
meat and plant foods on a daily basis. Then about 10,000 years
ago agriculture amazingly appeared and we slowly turned to a
grain based diet. 6000 years ago we invented pottery and started
storing these grains to be consumed in the winter.

Civilization boomed and great cities sprang up all around


the globe. Agriculture was the start of modern day
civilization as we know it. 100 years ago we figured out
how to refine these grains into things that our ancestors
would never ever call food and we suffer many new diseases
as a result.

As a consequence the grain farming industry makes billions of


dollars a year in sales. Governments provide government
welfare programs to support these big industries and the
small farmer has been slowly squeezed almost out of
existence. Big farming corporations now wield tremendous
political power and I believe they are the driving force behind
the present USDA Food Pyramid; a pyramid that calls for
roughly 10 servings a day of whole grains as its base.

But this is not what we were designed to eat folks and we


are not designed to be vegetarians either. By doing so we
rob our bodies of the benefits of meat and the nutrition
it provides while slowly destroying our health.

In the previous Newsletter I talked about grains and what


they do to you. There are also a few other things I can let
you know to prove this point about meat.

For instance, let's talk about the cow, a strict


vegetarian that eats non-stop almost every hour of its awake
life. Why is that? Because in order for that cow to get
enough nutrition from the plants it eats, it has to consume a
huge amount of food. It also regurgitates its food, chews it
again and then sends it through its 5 stomachs to be digested.
It has a huge digestive system! Just like all other vegetarian
consuming animals.
Even primates in the wild will eat bugs and small game when
they can kill it. However, they have much larger digestive
systems than we do. Because in order for them to get enough
nutrients, they must consume large amounts of food and be able to
digest that food since they eat primarily plant foods.

We on the other hand have the digestive system of a


predator like a wolf or dog. It's small and is designed
to digest primarily meat. All you have to do is compare the
waistlines of vegetarian animals to predators and you can
see that the predator has a smaller waistline and therefore
a smaller digestive system. It's designed to get the
maximum benefits from eating meat, not plants.

So, we were never designed to subsist on plants alone, we


must have meat in our diets if we want to achieve our
greatest level of health. This can be easily proven by
looking at the present day Chinese who are now eating more
and more meats. Those children raised on more meats, of
parents that ate primarily plant foods grow on average 2
inches taller than their parents. This proves that meat
provides more nutritional value than just plant foods
alone.

Consider that the animal you are eating was a vegetarian


and the meat contains all the minerals and vitamins of the
plant foods it ate when you eat it. Along with the fats your
body needs in substantial amounts to stay healthy and be able
to utilize all the fat soluble vitamins in your food.....more
on the fats later. Meat is as close to a complete meal as
you can get because of this fact.

As a matter of fact, the Eskimos hardly ever ate plants yet they
did not suffer from vitamin or mineral deficiencies or any
of the modern day diseases, until they adopted the typical
western diet. Now they are obese, get heart disease,
cancer, diabetes, arthritis, etc... just as much as the
typical American. This proves, at least in my mind, that
our diet is all wrong and needs to be more like those
Eskimos of old who got the benefits of eating meat on a
daily basis.

But, what has happened to our meat?

The meat we used to eat was obviously wild and ate


basically an all organic diet. Our cows ate primarily grass
along with all our now domesticated animals. They weren't
fed grains, dead animal waste and other byproducts unfit
for human consumption. They weren't shoved into a pen to be
fattened on aflatoxin-laced-corn to get so fat they weigh
more, which of course brings more money. They were wild and
on that wild diet, until some lucky hunter killed them and
took them home to feed their families. It was wholesome
food at its best and still is if you are a hunter or have a
hunter in your family.

Now what happens when we shove that cow into that pen and
feed it all the crap to fatten it up? Well... they become
pesticide laced, full of antibiotics, hormones, and
vaccines, etc. All the sugar from the grain reverses the
fatty acid profile of the meat just as it does in humans.
We both gain weight, get high cholesterol and high
triglycerides etc. It takes a while longer for us than a
cow because they are basically forced fed, but we all get
there if we eat this way. The cow's Omega 6 fats go
through the roof while the Omega 3 fats go down.

Wild game has a fatty acid profile of about 1:1 of Omega 3's
To Omega 6 fats. Grain fed beef has the exact opposite and can
be as high as 20:1 omega 6 to omega 3's. A high Omega 6 diet
promotes disease in the human body. Grass fed beef without
any grains is much more normal, like wild game, high Omega
3's and low Omega 6. This is the ideal fat ratio for
the human body. We must have good fats to function at
optimum health at a cellular level.

Hydrogenated, polyunsaturated and unsaturated fats found in


modern day cooking oils and those refined processed foods
are supposed to be good for you, but that is untrue.
Let's take a look at what they do to the human cell.
Cell walls are composed of mostly collagen, which is made
from a few amino acids and good fats, Omega 3's. These cell
walls allow nutrients in and waste out. It works the same
way with the t-cells of the immune system. A t-cell will
engulf or swallow its prey and the pliable cell wall allows
it to do this.

But when you eat hydrogenated trans fats or a diet high in


unsaturated fats, the body will use this fat to make cells
and these cells' walls are harder than normal cells. The
result is the t-cell cannot eat its victim and protect you
from disease; its cell walls are not permeable like they
are when the wall is made from good fats.

When the cells divide and produce new cells, this bad fat
can cause mutations in the cell and this is a primary cause
of cancer. Once this cell is a cancer cell and it divides, it
produces more defective and mutated cells so the cancer
spreads. It is a little more complex than that but bad fats
do cause cancer.

These hydrogenated fats are a primary cause of heart


disease, raising LDL cholesterol while lowering HDL
cholesterol. They dramatically increase inflammation and
cause insulin resistance in the cells. The insulin
resistance leads to diabetes.

These bad fats have been found to increase the risk of


Alzheimer's 2.4 times over those people that don't
consume them. They also reduce immune function and can
cause allergies because they are inflammatory. They've been
linked to asthma as well.

Presently, because of all the added bad fats to processed


foods and vegetable cooking oil use, this ratio of bad fat
to good fat is anywhere from 20:1 to 50:1 in the modern day
diet. This is the big problem, over consumption of trans
fats and Omega 6 fats with not enough Omega 3 fats, so the
cells in your body are not healthy. This eventually leads to
disease.
I should probably clear up the saturated fat thing.
Saturated fat is not necessarily bad for you. It contains
complete carbon chains so it's very stable and is the
best fat to cook with. It just needs to be consumed in a
1:1 ratio with Omega 3 fats to Omega 6 fats.

You can do a search on the Internet for the benefits of


Omega 3's and human health and come up with thousands of
studies confirming this. Some of them include:

Relief from depression


Improved brain function
Clearer and healthier skin
Improving arthritis
The control of inflammation
Helps control blood pressure
Helps control digestive diseases
Help prevent the development of asthma
Lowers the risk of Alzheimer's disease
Lowered LDL cholesterol levels, the bad cholesterol

That's quite a list right there, don't you think?

deer, moose, antelope, buffalo, duck, ostrich, mercury free
salmon, and genuine free range chickens are all good.

the best thing for you. It may well save your life in the
future because 1 in 3 Americans are now coming down with
cancer and heart disease. Two thirds are overweight and this can

Omega 3 Premium is super high in antioxidants and regular fish


oil supplements are not. One of these antioxidants is
astaxanthin, which is a natural carotenoid-type of antioxidant
that is even more powerful than beta-carotene, alpha-tocopherol,
lycopene and lutein.

If you take the other fish oils, you will also need to take
some kind of antioxidant because fish oil spoils easily.

A Word About Vegetarian & Low fat Diets

Hi Mario

I get asked quite often about what I think of vegetarian diets or


if I would consider making up a vegetarian candida diet. So in
this Newsletter I wanted to address some of the effects of
vegetarian and low fat diets on the human body.

The body needs certain raw materials in order to function...


period! Without proper nutrition, no amount of therapy or
prescription drugs will have lasting results if you're trying to
overcome any health problem. The health problems being
experienced by the individual will simply continue. Chronic
long-term deficiencies of these raw materials will eventually
lead to more health problems; it is only a matter of time.

Most vegetarian and low fat diets are composed of starches,


sugars, phytates from soy foods, common allergen foods and foods
that most humans are sensitive to. Grains are the biggest part of
these diets and meet the above criteria.

These diets commonly result in long term deficiencies of EPA &


DHA fatty acids, fat soluble vitamins, A, D, E and K, amino acid
imbalances, or other deficiencies of animal source nutrients,
especially B12. These deficiencies lead to a state of over
arousal, anxiety disorders, memory problems, cognitive
dysfunction, sleep disturbances, brain degeneration, GI disorders
and utter metabolic chaos.

The body ends up in a constant state of over arousal from chronic


high blood sugar levels and the release of insulin. Grains are
sugar, and sugar is what causes inflammation and the release of
insulin and that's what ages you. Sugar is the enemy and must be
controlled if you want to live a long and healthy life. The only
sugar requirement in the body is by the red blood cells. The rest
of your body prefers fat for fuel. Every cell in your body is 50%
fat and vegetarian diets are almost devoid of fat. If you do not
eat fats rich in Omega 3's you will not produce healthy cells.

The brain prefers fat for fuel and uses that fat as ketones in a
state of ketosis. Think about the child that is breast-fed
exclusively. They live in a state of ketosis and mother’s milk
is almost all fat! That fat is designed to grow big brains long
before it’s used by the body to grow. The brains fat
requirement never goes away, even as an adult.

Presently this lack of good fat is not just affecting people that
are vegetarians; brain size in humans has declined by an average
of 10% as compared to our ancestors. We are slowly devolving.

Long term use of high sugar diets ultimately destroys brain cells
and leads to what is called glycation. Glycation is the primary
cause of brain degeneration and diseases such as Alzheimer’s.
Glycation is the result of a sugar molecule, such as fructose or
glucose, bonding to a protein or lipid molecule without the
controlling action of an enzyme. Glycation may occur either
inside the body or outside the body. Glycation is a haphazard
process that impairs the functioning of biomolecules and produces
Advanced Glycation End products, AGE's.

AGE's contribute to age and diabetes related chronic inflammatory


diseases such as atherosclerosis, asthma, arthritis, myocardial
infarction, nephropathy, retinopathy, or neuropathy.

AGE's are recognized as photosensitizers in the crystalline lens


through cross-linking which has implications for cataract
development. AGE's have been implicated in Alzheimer's disease,
cardiovascular disease and stroke. The mechanism by which AGE's
induce damage is through a process called cross-linking that
causes intracellular damage and apoptosis. Apoptosis is the
process of programmed cell death that may occur in multicellular
organisms. Reduced muscle function is also associated with AGEs.

The brain itself is 50% fat and up to a quarter of the brains


fatty acid stores are DHA. DHA is commonly found in grass fed
beef, wild animals and wild cold water fish. The highest
concentration of Omega 3 fats in the body is in the brain.

It is interesting to note that other primates have high


concentrations of Omega 6 fatty acids. Humans on the other hand
have high concentrations of Omega 3's. Omega 3's are vital to
normal electrical/nervous system function, cardiovascular
function, joints, immune system and the gastrointestinal health
of the human body. We are not monkeys with large stomachs or cows
with multiple stomachs that are designed to live on plant foods.
We have slim waistlines like a predator and a digestive system
that is designed to eat meat.

There isn't any place to get an adequate amount of Omega 3's in


your daily diet unless you consume animal products. Preferably
grass fed meats and wild cold water fish. Flax and nuts are not
going to do it. The body has to process the ALA in flax and nuts
first and only a mere 3 to 5% is turned into EPA. Even less is
turned into DHA, the essential fat of the brain.

Vegetarian and low fat diets are also devoid of saturated fat.
Saturated fats provide cell membrane integrity and resistance to
oxidation. Oxidation creates free radicals which have been linked
to cancer. Saturated fat also assists in the absorption of vital
nutrients, helps grow healthy bones, lowers lipoprotein A - the
bad cholesterol, protects the liver, boosts immune function, is
needed for the absorption of EFA's, is used for energy
production, is used to produce hormones and aids in normal cell
metabolism. Short chain fatty acids also have antimicrobial and
antiviral properties.

The rest of your cells are made from protein and it is possible
to get the amino acid proteins from plants if you eat a variety
of plants and nuts. Three cups of almonds would give you 90 grams
of protein which would be about right for a lightly active person
that weighed 160 pounds. But, this isn't a complete protein so
you are going to have to eat a variety of foods to get all 22
amino acids.

I realize eating animal products is a moral issue if you are a


vegetarian, but if you really think it is better for you
physically? I'm sorry to say you are fooling yourself. Long term
it is going to lead to chronic disease.

What's Up With Artificial Sweeteners?

Hi Mario,

Artificial sweeteners are just that, a man made chemical


compound. Most were discovered while making some type of
drug or chemical for industrial use. The inventor usually
spilled some on themselves and later discovered it was
sweet. Today the world consumes 7.5 million metric tons of
the stuff per year. Diet soda consumption alone has reached
over 4 billion gallons.

The current sweeteners in use are:


Saccharin
Cyclamate
Aspartame
Acesulfame-K
Sucralose
Alitame
Neotame

I'm not going to get into how each one was discovered,
you can look that up yourself if you wish. Let's just get
into what they do to the body and I think side effects are
a great place to start.

Saccharin and Clyclamate

Saccharin in the late 70's, and Clyclamate in 69, have


both been found to cause cancer in laboratory animals.
Cyclamate was subsequently banned by the FDA. Saccharin had
been around for 100 years and it was already grandfathered into
allowed food additives and given GRAS status. It was then
required that a warning be put on the Saccharin label
concerning cancer risks.

More Saccharin studies were performed in 1991 and it was


determined that it was not a major cancer risk. President
Clinton in 2000 lifted the requirement for the warning label.
In 2010 the EPA said that saccharin is not a potential cancer
risk. The World Health Organization earlier said it is safe to
use. In my opinion, Saccharin is the safest of the artificial
chemical sweeteners.

Aspartame - Amino Sweet

It took a lot of political wrangling to get Aspartame


approved including loading the board of the FDA so the vote
would go in favor, you might want to look this up sometime.

The individual ingredients in Aspartame are recognized as


safe because they are found in the foods we eat. That's
true when they are consumed in the foods we eat. But when
they are consumed as a free form amino acid in a soft drink
it is anything but safe.

In a soda it enters your body in high concentrations as a


free form amino acid and causes excessive firing of brain
neurons and potential cell death. This is called
exitotoxicity and has been linked to headaches, depression,
mental confusion, balance problems and seizures. As a matter of
fact, aspartame has more complaints to the FDA than any
other food additive combined.

It has the very same effect as MSG, in that a single dose


can cause brain damage in the hypothalamus. Exitotoxicity
has also been linked to Alzheimer's and Parkinson's
disease.

The important chemical compounds and their side effects in


Aspartame are:

Phenylalanine causes mental retardation in children with


PKU. Phenylalanine also decomposes into DKP, a known
carcinogen, when exposed to warm temperatures or prolonged
storage. At cold temperatures it breaks down into
formaldehyde which has been proven to cause:

Irreversible genetic damage (Shaham 1996)


Headaches, fatigue, chest tightness (Main 1983)
Sleeping problems, burning skin, dizziness (Liu 1991)
Musculoskeletal, gastrointestinal, and cardiovascular
symptoms (Srivastava 1992)
Adverse cognitive effects (Kilburn 2000)
Seizures and neurobehavioral impairment (Kilburn 1994)
Headaches and skin problems (Proietti 2002)
Memory problems, equilibrium and dexterity impairment
(Kilburn 1987)

The EPA says it causes cancer.

One year after Aspartame was introduced in 1984, brain cancer


rates began to skyrocket. An increase in brain cancer rates
among children whose mothers consumed aspartame throughout
pregnancy also rose.

Dr. Morando Soffritti in Italy found in animal studies that


aspartame was associated with high rates of leukemia and
lymphomas.

Methanol poisoning can result in kidney failure, blindness,


multiple organ system failure and death. The interesting
thing here is the FDA has set acceptable daily levels of
methanol consumption at 7.8 mgs per day. However, one can
of soda sweetened with aspartame contains 16 mgs.

Reported symptoms to the FDA include:

Migraines, aggressive behavior, depression, hyperactivity,


disorientation, extreme numbness, memory loss,
excitability, loss of depth perception, cardiac arrest,
liver impairment, vision problems, seizures, suicidal
tendencies, severe mood swings and death.

Acesulfame-K or Sunnett has not been thoroughly tested on


humans or animals. It does contain methylene chloride
which is a known carcinogen. Long term exposure to this
chemical have been associated with headaches, depression,
mental confusion, lack of balance, visual impairment, liver
and kidney problems, loss of appetite, bronchitis and
cancer.
Splenda or Sucralose

There are only six published studies performed on humans


and the unpublished research was performed for six months
on its effects on diabetics. Out of 84 studies only ten
were performed on animals. There have been three long-term
trials on mice, rats and dogs. This is simply not enough in
my opinion so let's look at what Splenda is made of so we
can get an idea on Splenda's safety.

The company claims it is, "Made from sugar, so it tastes


like sugar." But the lengthy process the molecule goes
through does not resemble sugar. After it's completed, the
molecule is known as a chlorinated hydrocarbon or
organochlorine. This chlorine atom is bounded to carbon and
is found nowhere else in nature.

According to Dr. James Bowen, a biochemist and physician,


chlorocarbons deliver chlorine directly into your cells
through normal metabolization making them extremely
effective insecticides.

As a matter of fact, chlorocarbons are used mainly as


insecticides and can be found in DDT, aldrin, dieldrin,
lindane, heptachlor and chlordane. Two of the worst are
Agent Orange and PCB's, which have been known to cause
cancer and abnormalities within the reproductive system,
immune system and nervous system.

These organochlorines are fat-soluble and your body will


store them in your fat cells permanently, like mercury, and
can be released if you lose weight. One such high fat organ
is the brain.

The manufacturer claims very little, 15%, of this


organochlorine is actually absorbed by the body. However,
the range of absorption for humans is 11 to 27% according
to the FDA. Now 27% is not a little if you ask me, that is
almost one third of what you're consuming!

The FDA has stated that Splenda may contain 21 different


metabolites like 1,6-dichloro-1,6- dideoxyfructose. This
metabolite has been linked to liver toxicity, enlarged
livers in rat offspring, low birth weights in rats, maternal
and fetal toxicity and weak mutagenic activity. Further
reports have suggested this metabolite can convert to
6-chlorofructose, which has caused paralysis in mice after
8 days.

The reported side effects of Splenda include:


Dry mouth and sinuses;
Headaches and migraines
Achy joints and joint pain
Stuffy or runny nose or sneezing
Red itchy, swollen and watery eyes
Chest pains, palpitations and fluttering
Wheezing, tightness, cough, or shortness of breath
Swelling of the face, eyelids, lips, tongue and throat;
Bloating, gas, constipation, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or
bloody diarrhea
Red, itchy, swelling, blistering, weeping, crusting,
eruptions or hives on the skin
Seizures, anxiety, anger, panic, insomnia, dizziness,
feeling spaced out, mood swings and depression
Blood in urine, menstrual delay or missed period, night
sweats, and numbness of the limbs.

Alitame

For now not much is known about Alitame because the FDA
asked Pfizer to repeat a questionable study.

Neotame

Neotame was developed because the patent on Aspartame is


going to run out soon. It is 72 times sweeter than
Aspartame. Neotame is Aspartame plus 3-di-methyl-butyl. The
body does not break it down so it won't be toxic to people
with PKU. Because the chemical structure is very similar to
Aspartame, it is safe to assume the toxic side effects will
also be similar.

Agave

Agave syrup consists primarily of fructose and glucose. One


source gives 92% fructose and 8% glucose, another gives 56%
fructose and 20% glucose. These differences presumably
reflect variation from one vendor of agave syrup to
another. Due to its fructose content and the fact that the
glycemic index only measures glucose levels, agave syrup is
notable in that its glycemic index and glycemic load are
lower than many other natural sweeteners on the market.

However, the extremely high percentage of fructose (higher


than that of high-fructose corn syrup) can be deleterious
and can trigger fructose malabsorption, metabolic syndrome,
hypertriglyceridemia, decreased glucose tolerance,
hyperinsulinemia and accelerated uric acid formation.
Low-carb diet advocate Dr. Michael Eades M.D. advises to
"avoid it [Agave syrup] like death".

Stevia

Stevia is extracted from an herb grown in South America.


The Japanese have been consuming and conducting numerous studies
on it in the last 30 years and have found it to be completely
safe. Because it is natural it cannot be patented so the powers
that be have managed to keep it from being approved for use in
foods.

Xylitol

Xylitol is extracted from birch trees and even though it is


a sugar alcohol it does not spike blood sugar levels when
consumed. It has been found to kill the bacteria that
causes cavities and prevents Candida from growing.

It's been used in Europe for years with no ill effects.


However, some people have an intestinal reaction to xylitol
and cheap products with added sorbitol cause this. So if it
gives you diarrhea or intestinal upset switch brands.

Should You Really Use Those Sweeteners That Are Considered


Safe?

In 1991, a study was published in The Journal of the


American Diatetic Association that found that all
artificial sweeteners simply perpetuate a craving for more
sweets. This craving did not help people lose weight but
actually caused them to gain weight. The study found that
consuming "diet sodas" actually caused "serious
weight gain" while regular soda only increased weight
gain by 65%.

Another study done in 2005 found that rats that were fed
diet soda consumed more high calorie foods than those
drinking soda sweetened with sugar. It was concluded that
your taste buds may be temporarily satisfied but your brain
isn't fooled and it will make up for the calories later
on.

To add insult to injury, 96% of the contents in a packet of


any artificial sweetener are actually sugar in the form of
bulking agents. With Splenda it's 99%. They get away with
this by keeping the sugar in the packet to less than .5 grams
to comply with food labeling laws. So…we've
all been duped!

Anti Candida Diet Foods

Hi Mario,

I wanted to send this report along because sometimes the


diet page on my website causes confusion. Please understand
that that page was written quite a while ago and further
research has resulted in changes and different
recommendations, as I learn more and more about this
condition. I already know that more changes are coming
because I am reading a couple of medical books that link
candida to cancer, but for now this is the updated version.
Now, there are foods found on that page that may or may not
be on these two lists and they are still ok to eat. But you
don't have to stick to the alkaline side over the acidic
side by a 70 to 30% ratio depending upon your type. More
about diet types below. If there are any questions please
feel free to email me and ask so I can clear them up and
make the changes to this newsletter.

Please keep in mind about what I have already said about


dairy, grains, meats and sugar or artificial sweeteners.

Ok, here it is.

These anti candida diet good foods are designed to starve


candida yeast by keeping the blood sugar levels even and
avoiding spikes from eating sugars and grains. It is these
spikes and sugars in the blood and intestine that candida
goes into a feeding frenzy over. If conditions are right,
candida yeast can double its population in 1 hour. So you
can see how important the diet really is.

You could take the strongest candida chemotherapy drugs in


the world but if you feed the beast I highly doubt you'll
get rid of this. Its just like cancer, which coincidentally
also feeds on sugar. As a matter of fact, there are some doctors
that think cancer is caused by candida and other fungi.

Many anti candida diets will promote the alkaline diet and
this does improve one's health and that is important. But it
does not necessarily improve cellular health. The reason for
this, is most alkaline foods lack essential fats and those
good-fat foods usually fall on the acidic side of the
chart.

The cell wall is 40% fat and 60% protein and is permeable,
so nutrients pass in and waste passes out. This process
happens easily when cell walls are made from good fats, but
feed the body bad fats and it will use what you give it to
make new cells. Bad fats reduce the cell permeability and
the cell walls become hard. No longer is the cell getting
all the nutrients it needs or getting rid of all the waste.
This is a major cause of cancer!

Besides, candida can live from a ph range of 2.5 to 8.0.


Your body maintains blood at a ph of 7.365. Now, for that
.84 to get to 8.2 does not sound like a lot but the odds of
you getting your ph above that figure are very slim. Why?
Because the body will maintain that 7.365 level if at all
possible. It will dump the minerals it uses like excess
calcium and potassium in your urine and if the level falls
too low, it takes those minerals from the bone and uses them
to maintain that ph level.

So the best thing you can do is to eat green leafy


vegetables for the calcium and potassium. Not Milk! Once
milk is pasteurized the calcium is no longer bio-available.
Besides, studies have shown milk to be so acidic it
actually causes the body to use the minerals in the bone to
offset the acidity. This causes osteoporosis, it's a
proven fact: those cultures that consume dairy get
osteoporosis and those that don't, don't.

Yes you can get your ph levels up short-term, but long term,
no way. So you would constantly have to eat high alkaline
foods on a daily basis and this would deprive you of the
needed fats for healthy cells. And those cells all put
together make up your body.

All those soft tissue cells are also replaced every seven
years or so, so you want to make the best of the best
of cells. If you don't eat protein and good fats this is
not going to happen and you're going to pay for it in
declining health and degenerative diseases.

I have tried to make this anti candida diet food list as


complete as possible but more than likely I have missed
something, somewhere. If you discover a food that is not in
the charts below and question it, then I would check the
glycemic index. If the food is low glycemic and is not in
the bad candida free diet foods list then go ahead and eat
it. However, if that food gives you a problem or contains
high amounts of fructose then of course stop eating it.

Below are the food lists based on the glycemic index.

Here are some rules to remember when on the anti


candida diet:

1. Keep allowed fruit intake to one serving per day or less and
after you are well, 1 serving a day is sufficient to maintain
good health.

2. Eat 6 servings a day of vegetables and don't get stuck


eating the same ones day in and day out. It is best to eat them
raw or lightly steamed.

3. Each day eat about 12 ounces a day of meat that contains the
correct fatty acid profile that is actually good for you. If this
happens to be a twelve ounce grass fed beef steak, you should
have half at lunch and the other half at dinner.

4. Hold off on the alternative grains for the first two


weeks then you can eat one serving a day if they do not
cause any problems. Note: the best diet contains no grains but
the choice is yours.

5. You don't have to buy organic if you cannot afford it.


Just make sure you do not eat genetically engineered foods.
6. Don't starve yourself; if you are hungry eat. Think of
eating as a way to fuel the body and to maintain good health.
Eat to live, not live to eat.

7. Get some variety, don't get stuck eating the same old
thing.

8. I would only use coconut oil for cooking, with olive oil a second
choice. Other vegetable oils are full of transfats or have been
genetically engineered and cause inflammation, heart disease and
cancer, as I discussed on the previous page and above.

9. Make sure 30% of your foods come from good fats on a


daily basis.

10. Do not cut off all carbs! Eat that serving of allowed
fruit and those 6 servings or more of vegetables everyday.
If you cut off all carbs the candida will go deeper into your
body in search of food.
All foods listed below are low to moderate glycemic unless stated
otherwise.

Anti Candida Diet Protein Foods

Beef liver, chicken liver, organ meat, bacon, beef,


buffalo, chicken, duck, goat, goose, ham, lamb, ostrich,
pheasant, pork chops, quail, spare ribs, turkey, veal,
venison, wild game, Cornish game hen and free range eggs.

When it comes to fowl, don't buy into the white meat is better
for you, if you do not like white meat. If you like dark
meat your body is telling you it needs the extra fat this
meat provides. Of course it is best to eat free-range
chicken and grass fed beef if at all possible.

Anti Candida Diet Allowed Fish

Anchovy, caviar, herring, mussel, sardine, abalone, arctic


char, clam, crayfish, crab, lobster, octopus, oyster,
mercury free wild salmon, scallop, shrimp, snail, squid,
catfish, cod, flounder, grouper, haddock, mahi mahi, perch,
red snapper, black cod, scrod, sole, tilapia, trout, turbot,
and white sea bass.

I would avoid tuna unless you're getting certified mercury


free. Shark, swordfish, mackerel and farm-raised salmon are
not a good idea either because of mercury levels.

Anti Candida Diet Vegetables

All herbs, celery, spinach, asparagus, cauliflower, string


beans, all lettuce, arugula, beet greens, bok choy,
cabbage, chard, cucumber, endive, horseradish, mesclun,
purslane, radicchio, radish, seaweed, vegetable sprouts,
watercress, bell pepper, broccoli, brussel sprouts, egg
plant, fennel, garlic, ginger root, kale, leek, mustard
greens, onion, parsley, scallion, shallot, tomato, turnip
greens, artichoke, raw carrot, jicama, kohlrabi, okra,
peas, pumpkin, rutabaga, spaghetti squash, summer squash,
turnip, yellow squash, and zucchini.

Anti Candida Diet Good High Fat Nuts


Eat unsalted almonds, brazil, filbert, hazel, flax seeds,
macadamia, pecan, pine nuts, pumpkin seeds, sesame,
sunflower seeds, chestnuts and walnuts.

Anti Candida Diet Good Fatty Foods

Real butter, cream, ghee, natural low sugar yogurt - FAGE


brand at Whole Foods Market, kefir, avocado, coconut, olives,
coconut oil, flax seed oil, macadamia oil, olive oil,
pumpkin seed oil, sesame oil and walnut oil.

Also, you are going to get some fat from the meats you eat.
If you find yourself wanting to snack between meals then raise
your fat content at meals. A great way to do this is with coconut
oil. Not only is it a great fat but it also kills candida.

Anti Candida Diet Fruits

I am going to go out on a limb here and I'm sure I will get


called some very nasty things for allowing these. But all these
fruits are low carb, under 15 grams a serving, and I feel would
be ok every now and then while on the candida diet. You have to
stay healthy and some fruit does have its place. However, if any
of these fruits cause a problem for you, stop eating them.

Plum, peach, nectarine, apricot, kiwi, lemon, lime, orange,


tangerine and persimmons. Now grapefruits and green apples are
higher carb fruits but the acid does help kill yeast, so
occasionally it would be of benefit to eat them.

That about does it. If you do not see a food here check the
bad foods list and if it's not there then refer to the
glycemic index. High glycemic foods should be avoided.

Candida Free Diet Bad Foods you must avoid:

Sugar and simple processed grains including wheat, corn,


white rice, breads and pastas because sugar and simple
carbs feed candida yeast. Also watch out for fructose, which
has the same effect in the body as sugar.

Also it is best to avoid millet, quinoa, amaranth,


buckwheat, oats, and barley for 14 to 30 days as well, then
they can be added in moderation. Please be advised that oats
are problematic for many people, so if you have problems stop
eating them. Quinoa and buckwheat are actually seeds but they
are still high glycemic. But out of the above list they are
the best.

High glycemic and moldy fruits should be avoided on the


candida free diet because of the sugar or molds they
contain.

Potatoes, legumes, and beets are candida diet bad foods


because of the high starch and sugar content. Legumes also
contain toxic alkaloids that defend the bean in the wild.
Some of these alkaloids are cyanogens like cyanide. I think
we all know just how poisonous cyanide is.

Yeasty foods like bread, mushrooms, pastries, alcohol, and


hydrolyzed yeasts.

Breaded meats and egg substitutes are candida diet bad


foods and should be avoided.

Eggs and margarine substitutes. Eggs may or may not cause a


problem for you if you are not allergic to them. If you
aren't allergic to eggs have them, but I would not eat
them everyday. Also I would stick to eggs from free-range
hens with the correct omega 3 fatty acid profile.

Vinegars should be avoided and this includes pickles,


green olives, soy sauce, ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauce,
worcestershire sauce, pickled peppers, hot sauce, salad
dressings, dips, mayonnaise.

Peanuts and pistachios are candida diet bad foods because


of (almost) universal mold contamination. Cashews should be
avoided as well because they are actually a bean.

Diet and regular sodas, coffee, tea, and chlorinated and


fluoridated water. Herbal teas are ok and a cup or two of
organic coffee won't hurt either.

On the candida free diet it is a good idea to avoid shark,


tuna, swordfish, and farm raised salmon because of high
mercury content. Candida yeast is an immune system response
to mercury poisoning so you can see why this is important.

Not only do these candida free diet bad foods contribute to


candida yeast infections but they also weaken the immune
system. For instance, processed wheat and simple grains do
not contain enough fiber to move them through the colon
fast enough, so they sit in the colon too long and ferment.
This fermentation process creates alcohol that causes
acidity and acidity kills good bacteria, your first line
of defense against candida yeast. Also they are converted quickly
to sugar which feeds candida yeast during digestion.

Not only that, but we have been eating grains for only
10,000 years and we still cannot digest them. That is why
all grains have to be cooked before we eat them. Although
some of them are allowed after two to four weeks, I
still would not eat them, but it's up to you.

Typically a meal of the standard American diet takes 100


hours to make its way through the body because of all the
processed foods that we eat. On the other hand a person
that eats a more naturally candida free diet, high in
vegetable fiber, their meal only takes 20 to 45 hours and
this keeps the colon at its neutral ph level. The food does
not have the time to ferment and create alcohols that
kill good bacteria. Also vegetable fiber feeds good
bacteria and helps it to grow. Good bacteria are 75% of the
human immune system, so they are very important.

All disease, bad bacteria and parasites thrive in an


acidic environment because they lack oxygen and food is
plentiful. Many people say that candida yeast does not like
an alkaline environment. However, candida yeast has been
found to grow in a ph range of 2.5 to 8.0, so it does not
matter other than acidity kills your first line of defense
against candida yeast: good bacteria.

However, this acidic fermenting toxicity slowly destroys


the intestinal integrity of the walls of the intestine
which can lead to leaky gut syndrome. Leaky gut syndrome
causes food allergies, skin rashes, breathing difficulties,
hives and fevers to name a few.

A candida free diet full of fresh whole foods cleanses the


colon and strengthens the intestinal walls. Also, vegetables and
fruits feed the good bacteria that defend us from the foreign
pathogens that are present in every one of us. They raise
the intestinal ph making it more difficult for these pathogens
to survive and make us sick.

However, and this is a biggy: You must have good fats in


your diet if you're going to avoid the major degenerative
diseases of our time! Most of these good fats come from
quality meats and fish. By quality I mean wild game, grass
fed beef, buffalo, free-range chicken, mercury-free wild salmon
and other fish.

It is best to double-check this candida free diet bad foods


list against the good foods list because it is more
complete. If you don't see a food listed on the good list,
it should probably be avoided. However, if you double check
the food in question against the glycemic index and find it
to be low and also low in fructose, then it should be ok to eat.

The Importance of Good Clean Water

Hi Mario,
One thing you should do to get yourself back to good health
and improve the strength of your immune system while your
following the treatment plan, is to drink plenty of good
clean water.

Water helps flush toxins out of the cells while carrying


nutrients to the cells. The ideal is the equivalent in
ounces to half your body weight. That might be hard to do,
but do the best you can because every little bit helps.

Everyone has his or her own ideas as to what is good clean


water. I can tell you this: it’s not coming out of your
tap that’s for sure.

Tap Water

Not only do they add chlorine, a chemical that has been


proven to cause cancer, to the tap water. Not only do they add
chlorine to the tap water (a chemical that has been
proven to cause cancer) but also in many
places they add fluoride because it’s supposed to be
good for your teeth. Not true! Studies have shown it makes
absolutely no difference and the ADA recently retracted
their stand on fluoridation of the water, in favor of
applying it topically to the teeth.

The Union of Concerned Scientist, petitioned Congress to


have it stopped in the entire nation because it causes bone
cancer. Of course nothing's happened yet, but hopefully it
will sometime soon. Even the workers of the EPA are against
water fluoridation.

There are studies that conclude fluoride causes:

Reduced thyroid activity

Lowers IQ in children

It is a poison and damages DNA

Bone cancer, it permanently displaces the calcium in teeth


and bone

Its been shown to be a potential immunotoxin, embryotoxin,


neurotoxin

Impairment of learning and memory among fluoride-treated


among children

Dental fluorosis that can cost thousands to repair the


damaged teeth.

I have talked personally to workers at the water treatment


plant here in Las Vegas and they are required to wear
full-bodied HAZMAT suits when working around this chemical.
It’s extremely toxic.

Most filters do not remove fluoride from the water supply,


except for distilled and reverse osmosis systems. We use a
reverse osmosis system in my house and I have it connected
to the refrigerator as well. Amazon has pretty good deals on
reverse osmosis systems if you're interested?

RO systems remove everything, which is not ideal but


better than the alternative. So what I do is add 4 or 5 drops
of this, to 1 quart of water and keep it in the fridge. It is soooo good!
The water feels wetter and makes you feel like you're really
getting hydrated. Try it and you'll see what I mean.

I do not recommend that you drink distilled water only


because it leaches the minerals from the body. It is great
if you are going through die-off symptoms to reduce the
toxic load, but don’t drink it exclusively, only drink half of
your water per day as distilled. If you begin to have stomach
pains you are drinking too much.

Bottled Water

Bottled water isn't necessarily any purer than the water you get
from your tap -- it's just more expensive.

The Environmental Working Group tested 10 major bottled-water


brands. Thirty-eight low-level contaminants turned up in the
water, with each brand containing an average of eight chemicals.
Disinfection products, caffeine, Tylenol, nitrate, industrial
chemicals, arsenic and bacteria were all detected.

Two brands contained disinfection byproducts at levels that


exceeded California's bottled-water standards, and bottles of
Wal-Mart's Sam's Choice bought in the Bay Area contained
trihalomethanes, which have been linked to cancer and
miscarriages.

In fact, the Wal-Mart water and a brand sold on the East Coast by
the Giant supermarket chain were “chemically indistinguishable
from tap water.”

The fact that water is bottled is NOT an assurance of purity. In


fact, about 40 percent of bottled water IS regular tap water,
which may or may not have received any additional treatment.

Most municipal tap water -- though generally far from pure --


must actually adhere to stricter purity standards than the
bottled water industry.

In a previous study, a third of more than 100 bottled water


brands tested for contaminants were found to contain chemicals
like arsenic and carcinogenic compounds at levels exceeding state
or industry standards for municipal water supplies.

Additionally, while the EPA requires large public water supplies


to test for contaminants up to several times a day, the FDA
requires private bottlers to test for contaminants only once a
week, once a year, or once every four years, depending on the
contaminant.

Fluoride (a highly toxic bone poison that should be avoided at


all costs) is usually present in both tap water and filtered
bottled water. And the toxic metal antimony (a silvery white
metal of medium hardness) has also been found in many
commercially bottled water brands.

Pharmaceutical drugs are now also showing up both in tap water


and bottled water. But at least you can filter most drugs out of
your tap water by installing a good water filter…

But perhaps even worse than some of the above contaminants are
the disinfection byproducts, such as trihalomethanes, which the
Environmental Working Group also found in samples of bottled
water.
I could go on and on but I think you get the point. Bottled water
is a complete rip-off and is more than likely worse for you than
what your drinking out of your tap at home. The easiest thing to
do is just put an Reverse Osmosis System in your home and save
your cash.

But, if you want to drink bottled water, then Nestle's Purified


was recently rated the best out of 173 brands tested.

The Importance of Sleep

Hi Mario,

Sleep is very important and you need to make sure you get
enough of it. Those that don’t have weakened immune
systems and its been proven are more at risk for prostate
and breast cancer. One of the reasons people get cancer is
because of a weakened immune system you can see how
important this is. A weak immune system also does not help
your body in fighting candida yeast.

Researchers studied 149 men, aged 16 to 83, and found that


age-related changes in sleep quality were linked to
specific changes in several hormones. The two most
prominent being Growth Hormone and cortisol.

Growth hormone levels actually decreased in those that


didn’t get enough sleep and cortisol levels rose. A lack
of GH leads to less growth of muscle tissue, increased fat
tissue and weakened immunity to infection.

Elevated cortisol may underlie a host of mental and


metabolic problems, including memory loss and insulin
resistance and is a precursor to diabetes
In a study of more than 1,200 adults with high blood
pressure, researchers found that those who slept for less
than 7.5 hours each night were more likely to suffer a
heart attack, a stroke, or die of cardiac arrest over a
4-year period. At particular risk were those who also
failed to have a blood-pressure dip that normally occurs
overnight.

In general, men and women who slept for less than 7.5 hours
per night had a 68 percent higher risk for cardiovascular
complications. Those who suffered from both short sleep and
non-dipping blood pressure, however, had a more than
four-fold greater chance of heart attack, stroke or cardiac
death.

A study published in the journal Neurology, found that


older women who have trouble falling asleep are more likely
to experience memory loss and mental decline, than those who
sleep well.

Researchers at the University of California studied almost


2,500 women over a period of 15 years. At the start of the
study, the group had an average age of 69, with no signs of
memory problems.

Cognitive tests were administered over the length of the


study, and sleep disturbances were assessed at the end.
Although there was no association between cognitive decline
and total sleep time, those who showed memory problems were
almost twice as likely to have trouble staying asleep.

Women who showed mental decline were also one-and-a-half


times as likely to have problems falling asleep, being
awake for more than 90 minutes during their sleep cycle.

A woman's brain and organ systems, including the


reproductive system, are restored through sleep, thus
long-term sleep suffering can be linked to problems in
relationships, mood, immunity and hormone imbalance. Sleep
loss could also lead to menstrual irregularity, a factor
that can delay the time it takes to conceive.

To discover the affect sleep has on fertility, researchers


took a poll of women who have sleep-deprived professions,
such as flight attendants and late shift nurses. According
to the study, half of the women tested had irregular
menstrual cycles, while others stopped ovulating
altogether.

Another influence on ovation and reproductive hormones is


the amount of daily light exposure. Lack of sunlight can
trigger depression, which in turn suppresses fertility.
Further, researchers found they could alter the length of
women's menstrual cycles by exposing them to artificial
light (around the middle of their cycles) as they slept.
They discovered that the hormones that trigger ovulation
are tied to the body's biological clock.

So, try to get at least 7.5 hours of sleep every night.

Sugar and Your Health

After reading this report about sugar, which is being undeniably linked
to most of our modern day diseases. I think you will agree that this
substance should be eliminated or at least reduced in our daily diet.
For the sake of my readers I have purposely kept it as short as I
could. There is vastly more research that has been done on this drug.
But I think you should get the picture by reading this report.
I have been called a quack because of this page, so if you would like
the proof that what is said below is true? I would go over to Amazon
and get Nancy Appleton's 2001 book, Lick the Sugar Habit and read it.
It's well researched and you will find all the studies you need in the
appendix to prove everything written here is the truth.

All Italics are mine.

In addition to throwing off the body's homeostasis, excess sugar may


result in a number of other significant consequences. The following is a
listing of some of sugar's metabolic consequences from a variety of
medical journals and other scientific publications.

According to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition in studies done


in 1973 and 1997. Sugar was linked to a suppressed immune system.

In a study done in 1933 and printed in "Progressive Food and


Nutritional Science". Sugar upsets the mineral relationships in the
body.

In the "Journal Of Child Psychology" 1986. Sucrose can cause


hyperactivity, anxiety, difficulty concentrating, and crankiness in
children. Can you say attention deficit disorder.

Researchers S. Scanto and J. Yudkin in the Postgraduate Medicine


Journal performed a study on human volunteers, 1969 discovered.
Sugar has been linked to a significant rise in triglycerides.

In the "Dental Survey" 1976. Sucrose contributes to the reduction in


defense against bacterial infection (infectious diseases). Immune
system troubles in the body.

The New York Academy of Science and the Scientific American in May
of 1987 discovered. Sucrose causes a loss of tissue elasticity and
function, the more sugar you eat the more elasticity and function you
loose. Looks like premature aging due to immune system overload.

The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition 1986 and 1993 discovered.


It is responsible for a reduction in high density lipoproteins.

Dr. A Kozlovsky in a study in June of 1986. Sugar leads to chromium


deficiency which helps regulate blood sugar levels. Chromium has
been found to regulate blood sugar levels in the blood.
At Tohoku School of Medicine, October 1982, and printed in the
Wholistic Health Digest, they discovered. Sugar leads to cancer of the
breast, ovaries, prostrate, and rectum. Not surprising since it feeds
the cancer cell. Along with feeding yeast infections which produce their
own toxins.

In a study done in Dr. J Kelsey 1974 on young women, and in 1983 by


Dr. B. Thomas on glucose and insulin concentration and response.
Sucrose has been linked to an increased fasting level of glucose.

Dr. M. Fields 1983 did a study on rats linking sugar as being


responsible for copper deficiency.

Dr. J. Lehman in 1976 found that sugar can block the absorption of
calcium and magnesium in the body.

In March 2002 in Scandinavia's VM Newsletter linked sucrose to


weakening of the eyesight. Poor eyesight and the need for glasses is a
modern affliction. A hundred years ago you did not have the problem
spread out through so much of the population as you do today.

The Addiction Letter 1992 determined that there is a chemical


withdrawal response in the body if sugar is removed from the diet. It's
withdrawal raised the level of a neurotransmitters: dopamine,
serotonin, and nor epinephrine. This proves that it really is no more
than a drug. And most people are addicted to it.

It has been linked to hypoglycemia. Hypoglycemia is the precursor to


type 2 diabetes.

It has been linked to an acidic digestive tract.

Dr. T. Jones, February 1995 Journal of Pediatrics states. Sugar has


been linked to a rapid rise of adrenaline levels in children. Many
believe as I do that it is directly responsible for ADHD. When you
remove the sucrose and grains from most children’s diet, you most
always are able to avoid the taking of Ritalin.

Sucrose malabsorption is frequent in patients with functional bowel


disease.

Sucrose has been linked to premature aging. Of course due to immune


system overload.
Sucrose has been linked to alcoholism. Most alcoholics are on the
verge of adult onset diabetes from the constant consumption of
alcohol. They also always have a chronic yeast infection which
demands to be fed. Yeast thrive and spread on the sugar because it is
their primary food source.

It has been linked tooth decay. I think we all are aware of this fact.

It causes obesity. This is really do to ancient man and the survival


mechanism of insulin. The body adapted to store excess sugars as fat
to be used at a latter time when food may have not been plentiful.

A high sucrose diet increases the risk of Crohn's disease, and


ulcerative colitis.

It can cause changes frequently found in person with gastric or


duodenal ulcers.

Darlington, Ramsey and Mansfield published in the Lancet in 1986


found it can cause arthritis.

It has been linked to asthma.

It greatly assists the uncontrolled growth of Candida Albicans (yeast


infection). Yeast and candida feed on sugar.

appendicitis.

Dr. S. Erlander March 1979: Sucrose has been linked to multiple

It has been linked to varicose veins.

It has been linked to elevated glucose and insulin responses in oral


contraceptive users.
It has been linked to periodontal disease.

Sucrose has been linked to osteoporosis.

It has been linked to saliva acidity.

It has been linked to a decrease in insulin sensitivity.

Sucrose has been linked to a lowered amount of Vitamin E in the


blood.

Sucrose has been linked to a decrease in growth hormone.

It has been linked to an increase in cholesterol. This is no surprise,


insulin stores it as fat in the body. Your liver makes cholesterol out of
fats.

It has been linked to an increase in systolic blood pressure.

Sugar can cause drowsiness and decreased activity in children. After


about 30 minutes or so as the insulin rushes in to nock down a high
blood sugar level.

High sugar intake increases advanced glycation end products (AGEs)


(Sugar bound non- enzymatically to protein).

It can interfere with the absorption of protein.

Sucrose causes food allergies.

Sugar has been linked to diabetes. I believe it is the underlying cause.

It has been linked to toxemia during pregnancy.

It has been linked to eczema in children.

It has been linked to cardiovascular disease.

Sucrose can impair the structure of DNA.

It can change the structure of protein.

Sucrose can change the structure of collagen, which ages the skin.

It has been linked to cataracts.


It has been linked to emphysema.

It has been linked to atherosclerosis.

It can promote an elevation of low density lipoproteins (LDL).

High sugar intake can impair the physiological homeostasis of many


systems in the body.

Sugar lowers the enzymes ability to function. This is not good here;
enzymes are the keys to all physical life.

Sucrose intake is higher in people with Parkinson’s disease.

It has been linked to permanent altering the way the proteins act in
the body.

Sucrose has been linked to an increase in the size of the liver by


making the liver cells divide.

It has been linked to an increase in the amount of liver fat. This is not
surprising, since insulin will store the sugar in the body as fat.

It has been linked to an increase in kidney size and produce


pathological changes in the kidney.

It can damage the pancreas. The pancreas is responsible for the


production of enzymes and insulin. In today’s high sucrose and
enzymatically dead food diets. The pancreas is working quite hard to
keep the pace.

It can increase the body's fluid retention.

Sugar is enemy #1 of the bowel movement. This is not good, Many


scientist and doctors believe that death begins in the colon from the
build up of toxins. The body when completely healthy believe it or not,
will have a bowel movement one hour after a meal.

It has been linked to myopia (nearsightedness). Along with sleeping in


a room not properly darkened at night.

It can compromise the lining of the capillaries.

It has been linked to making the tendons more brittle.


Sucrose can cause headaches, including migraine. This is a fact in my
experience. I don't know how many times I have had a pepsi on a hot
day and soon there after I get a small headache.

Sugar plays a role in pancreatic cancer in women. The pancreas


creates enzymes and insulin.

Sugar has been linked to adversely affecting school children's grades


and cause learning disorders. A D D again.

It has been linked to an increase in delta, alpha, and theta brain


waves.

It has been linked to depression.

Sugar increases the risk of gastric cancer. According to Dr. Warburg,


who won his first Nobel Prize for work proving cancer is caused by a
lack of oxygen respiration in cells. Found in his other research about
cancer, sugar actually feeds cancer. If you are going through any kind
of cancer treatment, remove sugar from your diet now!

It has been linked to dyspepsia (indigestion).

It has been linked to an increase in your risk of getting gout.

Sucrose has been linked to an increase in the levels of glucose in an


oral glucose tolerance test over the ingestion of complex
carbohydrates.

Sugar can increase the insulin responses in humans consuming high-


sugar diets compared to low sugar diets. No doubt about that, insulin
is trying to maintain an even blood sugar level. So if you eat more
sugar, it stands to reason that you would have more insulin responses.
If you have read the Enzyme report, you may start to be realizing how
overworked our pancreas are these days.

A high refined sugar diet reduces learning capacity.

Sucrose has been linked to ineffective functioning of two blood


proteins, albumin, and lipoproteins, which may reduce the body’s
ability to handle fat and cholesterol. More reasons to take a good
digestive enzyme.
Sugar has been linked to Alzheimer’s disease. Interesting, my
grandfather died of Alzheimer's disease. He was also an alcoholic and
drank daily for most of his life. Ironically until he forgot. But alcohol is
loaded with sugar and feeds yeast!

Sucrose has been linked to platelet adhesiveness. Another reason for


digestive enzymes.

It has been linked to hormonal imbalance; some hormones become


underactive and others become overactive.

It has been linked to the formation of kidney stones.

Sucrose has been linked to the hypothalamus to become highly

Diets high in sugar have been linked to free radicals and oxidative

It increases the concentration of bile acids in stools and bacterial


enzymes in the colon.
Sugar increases estradiol (the most potent form of naturally occurring
estrogen) in men. High levels of this hormone has been linked to
prostate cancer.

Sugar combines and destroys phosphatase, an enzyme, which makes


the process of digestion more difficult. Are you beginning to see why
sugar is so hard on your immune system. It kills enzymes and feeds
yeast.

It has been linked to gallbladder cancer. Of course.

Sucrose is an addictive substance. There is no doubt about this. It is a


drug, not a food.

It can be intoxicating, similar to alcohol.

It can exacerbate PMS.

Given to premature babies it can affect the amount of carbon dioxide


they produce.

Decrease in sugar intake can increase emotional stability. I would


think so, since you would eliminate the ups and downs of your blood
sugar level, keeping it on a more even keel.

The body changes sugar into 2 to 5 times more fat in the bloodstream
than it does starch. One of the functions of insulin as a human survival
mechanism is to do this. With a high blood sugar level, insulin goes to
work by removing the excess sugar from the blood. It then stores it on
the body as fat to be used in case of famine.

The rapid absorption of sugar promotes excessive food intake in obese


subjects. This is because the absolute zero nutritional value of sugar.
The person's body is still craving the correct fuel to nourish the cells.
So, the person continues to eat.

Sugar has been linked to worsening symptoms of children with


attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Remove the sugar and
grains from a child’s diet that has been diagnosed with ADHD, and
they most always recover in a short time without the need for Ritalin.

Sucrose adversely affects urinary electrolyte composition.

It can slow down the ability of the adrenal glands to function.


Sugar has the potential of inducing abnormal metabolic processes in a
normal healthy individual and to promote chronic degenerative
diseases. I don't doubt this one bit.

I.Vs (intravenous feedings) of sugar water can cut off oxygen to the
brain. Did you see that?

High sucrose intake could be an important risk factor in lung cancer.


As I said before, it feeds cancer.

It increases the risk of polio.

High sucrose intake can cause epileptic seizures.

It causes high blood pressure in obese people.

In Intensive Care Units: Limiting sugar saves lives.

It has been linked to cell death in the body.

Sugar has been linked to impairment of physiological homeostasis of


many systems in living organisms.

In juvenile rehabilitation camps, when children were put on a low


sugar diet, there was a 44% drop in antisocial behavior. Some clinical
proof on the effects of this poison.

Sugar has been linked to gastric cancer.

Sugar dehydrates newborns. Well of course it does, it dehydrates


adults also. Ever notice on a hot day if you drink a soda you are still
thirsty. In some cases after a while even more so.

It has been linked to gum disease.

Sugar increases the estradiol in young men. This has been linked to
prostate cancer.

Sucrose can cause low birth weight babies.

Sugar increases your risk of developing type 2 diabetes. This is fast


becoming a epidemic in America today.

This stuff is literally poison to the body. NutraSweet (aspartame) is not
an acceptable substitute either. Having more health complaints to the
FDA than any of the other food additives combined.

The fact that sugar feeds cancer, and that cancer is always present in
the body should be reason enough for any one. It severely over loads
the immune system.

Look what happens every year from November to January. You have
Halloween, Thanks Giving, Christmas, and then the great New Years
celebration. You also have a large amount of food and sweets
consumed over these holidays. This time of year is also cold and flu
season for that very same reason. Your body is severely stressed from
trying to remove these toxins. Most people don't even give themselves
half a chance by taking a digestive enzyme supplement. If they did,
they would probably avoid becoming sick.

There are more studies I could add to this page, but for the sake of
keeping it to a reasonable length I haven't. But I am firmly convinced
that sugar is worse for you than smoking. The wide range of health
effects is to great as opposed to smoking. When the average person in
America consumes 170 pounds a year of sugar as opposed to 25% of
the population that smokes. And people get diabetes, cancers of all
kinds, and heart disease without having smoked a day in their lives.
Something is damaging the immune system to allow this to happen.
The one common denominator is of course sucrose.

Remember it comes by many names: Fructose, sucrose, corn syrup,


etc. as you try to at least cut down on your intake. Read the labels on
your food packages, if it is within the first five, don't eat it.

Most people are addicted and are emotionally attached to their food. If

The Effects of Stress on The Body & How To Deal With It

Hi Mario,

I am often asked what are the effects of stress on the body


and does it affect the immune system? The answer is...yes
it does and it can cut immune function by up to 50%. That is
not something you want happening when you're dealing with
yeast infections or any other serious illness.

We all suffer from stress on a daily basis. From being


overworked, underworked and bored to tears, worrying about
money or family members, the lack of sleep, conflict with
others, social isolation and even sitting in traffic, to
name a few. Stress is most often caused by people, places
and things that are beyond our control.

We all deal with stress differently and some of us can take


more than others. What stresses out one person, another has
no problem with. But what are the effects of stress on the
body and what happens to the immune system if we cannot
deal with the stress that does affect us?

The immune system is an intricate system of cells that


communicate with one another to defend the body in times of
need. It is also responsible for the clean up of toxins and
disposal of waste functions. Macrophages for instance, not
only defend the body but also dispose of waste. There are
also a host of cells that calm down the immune response, so
the immune system does not attack itself, your body.
Most of these immune system cells are classified as
T-cells.

T-cells are white blood cells formed in the bone marrow


that migrate to the thymic gland to mature. Once mature they are
released into the blood stream to provide for its defense. Also
you have what is known as T Helper cells called CD4 cells, which
aid in the production of antibodies in the bone marrow. And most
importantly, when it comes to the effects of stress on the body,
Suppressor T-cells called CD8 cells.

In a study done in 1991 by Manuck, et al; it was shown that


those people that are affected by stress enough to show an
increased heart rate, had an increased number of CD8 cells
that suppress immune function. It is believed that hormonal
reactions from stress are the reason for this impaired immune
function.

It has been shown that stress can increase the levels of


the brain hormones, eprinephrine and noreprinephrine. These
are hormones that control blood flow through expansion and
contraction of arteries. This influences the ability of the
natural killer and T-cells to reach all the extremities in
the body. Under high levels of stress the blood flow
decreases, thereby reducing the immune system's ability to
properly defend the body. Naliboff 1991 & Kiecolt-Glaser 1992.

The chronic effects of stress on the body play a role in


diabetes by altering the insulin levels in the body.
Children between the ages of 5 and 9 showed a much higher
risk of contracting diabetes later in life, if their stress
levels were high during these years.

Elliot & Eisdorfer in 1982, determined that stress plays a


role in the interaction between IgE antibodies and antigens
that cause an increase of histamine in the body. Histamine
blocks airways and has been linked to asthma.
The effects of stress on the body greatly influences the
digestive system. Ulcers caused by excessive acid release
have been shown to be caused by excessive stress. Although
most ulcers are caused by h. pylori, the added stress
hastens its ability to form its protective shell in the
stomach. Intestinal ulcers can be caused by too much acid
over a period of time, as the acid burns a hole in the
mucous lining. Acid reflux can lead to esophageal cancer if
not brought under control.

The release of the hormones, eprinephrine and noreprinephrine


also contribute to blood platelet clogging in the cardiovascular
system resulting in heart attacks, heart disease and strokes.
People that are extremely competitive in work and life overall,
have higher stress levels than those more laid-back easy-going
types. It has been found that these ultra competitive types
suffer from high cholesterol, high blood pressure, increased
insulin response and artery lesions, from the constant oversupply
of these two hormones. of those two above hormones.

Due to the increased levels of CD8 cells, those that


suffer from stress also have a 82% higher rate of viral
infections. Ask anyone with herpes if they usually have
breakouts during periods of high stress in their lives and
they'll tell you Yes. Most colds and flus actually occur on
the weekends after a stressful week at the office.

Not only do the effects of stress on the body greatly


reduce immune system function, being over-stressed also
leads to loss of sleep and this reduces melatonin
production. Melatonin is another hormone that boosts immune
function and helps repair the body as you sleep. As a matter of
fact, it has been proven that people that work nights have
higher rates of prostate and breast cancer because of
reduced melatonin production from a lack of sleep.

High stress can also contribute to: drug and alcohol


dependency, forgetfullness, low energy levels and
depression. WebMD estimates that 75 to 95% of all doctor
visits are stress related.
The effects of stress on the body are definitely negative.
If you are under high stress you need to get it under
control, so your immune system can help you fight your yeast
infection.

How to Conquer Stress

One of the best ways that I know of to deal with stress is


Hypnosis. Don't laugh or roll your eyes, I'm serious!

A study done in 2001 by Ohio State University published


in the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology,
found that students' immune systems became stronger and more
active the longer they used hypnosis. (They used a limited
version of a complete hypnosis program and it was proven by blood
samples.)

In 1999 a study was done by Ginandes C.S. & Rosenthal D.I.,


found that patients recovering from bone fractures healed
faster when participating in self hypnosis programs. The
study was published in Alternative Therapies in Health and
Medicine, (5)(2): 67-75.

Another study in 2002 by Ginandes C, Brooks P, Sando W,


Jones C, & Aker J., found that women who had gone through
breast surgery healed faster post operation when undergoing
hypnosis, than those that didn't. American Journal of
Clinical Hypnosis. (Hypnosis, 45) 45(4):333-51.

In 1985, 1986, and 1996, studies published in the Journal of


Consulting and Clinical Psychology about hypnosis and weight
loss. Each study found that weight loss was increased by 17
pounds and 97% of that weight loss, lasted for up to 2 years
later by those that continued the self hypnosis program.

How to Stay on This Diet

Hi Mario,

A lot of people have a problem following the candida diet


or any other diet because they have become so addicted to
sugar. Or they have formed an emotional attachment to these
foods. These foods have become comfort foods and fill an
emotional need or desire within that person. Or they just
can't seem to get from one meal to the next because of a
drop in energy levels because they are not eating right for
them to start with. There are other reasons too but these
are the most common ones that I see. So I do have a couple
things you can do to help yourself.

One thing that helps is Hypnosis and I talked about this


for stress in the previous newsletter. But does it really work
when you want to follow a certain diet for weight loss, getting
rid of yeast infections, or just staying healthy?

In 2005 Tufts New England Medical Center did a study on 160


overweight people. They split them up into 4 different diets
and found that as long as these people followed the diet,
they all lost weight. But the big problem was that less
than 1 in 4 were able to stay on the diet for 1 year.

They did not try Hypnosis on these people but they should
have because it has a 92% success rate.

In a weight management study between 2 groups and published


in 1985 in the Journal of Clinical Psychology; the people in
the hypnosis group continued to get results during the two
year follow-up and those not on hypnosis did not.

The Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1986.


Published a study showing those that used hypnosis lost 17
pounds on average and those that didn't use it only lost .5
pounds.

They did another study in 1996 and found that those that
used hypnosis averaged 97% more weight loss and 146% post
treatment when they were out on their own. This proved that
overtime hypnosis just becomes more and more effective.

In all these studies the hypnosis program enabled these


people to stick to their respective diet. It is really that
simple when it comes to weight loss because most weight loss
diets do work. They may not be the best diet for you health
wise, but if you stick to it you'll lose weight.

The candida diet is just like any other diet only you have
a different end goal in mind and that is to get rid of your
yeast infection. If you don't follow the diet you may well
find this to be almost impossible to achieve. It will not
matter what you take, if you feed something that can double
its population in 1 hour you’re not going to have lasting
success.

eat?" Quiet a few people are lost when you take away the

How Not to Loss Weight on This Diet, Or How to Lose Weight

Hi Mario,

You might be concerned you'll lose too much weight on this diet
or you might like to lose some weight. So I have included this
newsletter explaining how to do either.

It is a fact that simple carbs make you gain weight because they
are quickly processed by the body and turned into sugar. This
sugar causes a blood sugar spike and the body responds by
releasing insulin to reduce those blood sugar levels, to levels
that are safe for the body. In doing so, insulin tries to force
the excess sugar into the cells but quite often the cells already
have enough, so this does not occur. Insulin will then force the
excess sugar into the fat cells making them expand and you will
gain weight, unless you get enough exercise on a daily basis to
burn those calories.

The candida diet calls for almost complete elimination of


simple carbs because the resulting sugar feeds candida yeast.
This quite often creates a problem for some people for a month or
two. Energy levels can be reduced, carb and sugar cravings run
rampant; you get irritable or depressed and become chronically
hungry, etc. Not everyone will have these side effects because we
are all different and eat differently; some people will have the
exact opposite occur as their body rapidly shifts to using fats
for fuel instead of sugar.

One of the problems when it comes to cravings and the mental


aspect of the diet is you are quite simply addicted. Also, the
body has shifted from its original design of using fat for fuel
to using sugar, so it must be re-trained to use fat. This usually
takes 1 to 2 months to accomplish.

The body itself was designed to run on fats and has the ability
to convert fat into glucose (sugar) if needed. It also will
convert protein including muscle tissue if it has to. But, the
only sugar requirement that any cell in the body needs is red
blood cells. The rest of the body prefers fat that has been
converted to ketones, especially the heart and the brain for
fuel.

Our ancestors, in the fall when the fruit was ripe and the honey
was ready to harvest, pigged out on this plentiful food. The
result was elevated blood sugar levels and the resulting weight
gain. Then in the winter when plant foods were limited, the body
burned this fat when needed, as well as using the fat from the
animals ate at this time. It was a survival mechanism that is
still functioning to this very day.

The above relationship was a survival mechanism for primitive man


who was an omnivore, meaning we ate both animals and plants. If
we could kill it, catch it, pick it, or dig it up we ate it.
Blood sugar spikes from carbs were stored as fat by insulin and
burned later when we needed it.

These days food and especially sugar are plentiful and we


eat a huge amount of simple carbs (sugar) on a daily basis all
year round. The result: 65% of Americans are over weight. As a
matter of fact, now there are more people that are considered
obese than just over weight. Obesity has now surpassed cancer
and heart disease as the #1 killer of Americans.

So how do we lose or not lose weight on this diet?

Go over to this website:

and find out your lean bodyweight. Now, let's say your 5" 8" tall
and you weigh 165 pounds, so you came up with a BMI of 25.

Take that 165 pounds and multiply it by your BMI of 25%, which
equals 41.25, so let's say 41. Then subtract 41 from 165, which
equals 124 pounds. 124 pounds is your lean body weight.

Now on this page;

Calculate your BMR. We'll use an age of 35 and a male, to come up


with 1719 calories burned per day if you just stayed in bed.

Now go over to this page and find your activity level based on
the Harris Benedict Formula.

Then as an example, take that 1719 multiplied by the Harris


Benedict Formula for additional calories burned when moderately
active; BMR, 1719 X 1.55 = 2664 calories a day, that you must
consume to not lose weight.

For moderately active people, (meaning you exercise 2 hours per


week of low level cardio and 1 or 2 sessions of 10 to 30 minute
weight training routines.) Take .7 x 124 which equals 87, which
is the amount of grams of protein you must consume everyday so
you do not lose muscle tissue. That amounts to 344 calories from
protein.

Now 1 gram of carbs has 4 calories. The carb calories I am


talking about are from vegetables and the allowed fruits, not pasta,
bread, sugar and all that processed junk. You need to eat
vegetable complex carbs that are processed slowly by the liver
and keep your blood sugar levels even, which satisfies your red
blood cells and your everyday energy needs. Note: Wild rice is
the best grain to consume if you want to supplement those
vegetables but keep it to 1 serving per day.

So if you want to lose weight, say 8 pounds a month, you will


need a daily 932 calorie deficit for a total of 1732 calories per
day. Limit the carb intake to 75 grams or 300 calories per day.

344 calories from protein


300 calories from complex carbs
1088 calories from good fat
Total calories consumed per day is 1732

Just so you know, fat contains about 9 calories per gram.

Do the above everyday and exercise and you will lose weight.

If you don't want to lose weight. Using the same scenario above,
just consume your daily needed calories by doubling the grams of
complex carbs to 150 and therefore doubling the calories to 600 a
day and raise your good fat intake.

344 calories from protein


600 calories from complex carbs
1720 calories from good fat
Total Calories consumed per day is 2664

Now you can increase the protein calories to 1 gram per pound of
lean body weight too, so it looks like this:

400 calories from protein


600 calories from complex carbs
1664 calories from good fat
Total Calories consumed is 2664

1 gram per pound of protein is recommended if you are


extremely active, so you do not lose muscle tissue. I would not
eat more than that; the protein load can be hard on the kidneys.

Now a lot of you might think that because of all this fat that
your cholesterol will go through the roof. Not true! I read a
study a few weeks ago that was done by the National Institute of
Health, over a 2 year time span. The study followed two sets of
dieters, those that cut carb calories and those that cut fat
calories from their diets. Both groups lost the same amount of
weight but the carb-cutting group’s blood pressure and
cholesterol levels went down. The fat-cutting groups did the
opposite, they went up. Interesting isn't it? Seems simple
carbs cause circulatory problems does it not? (Of course that is
what I said in the grain newsletter.

I am also living proof of the above statistics. At 49 I could


stand to lose 10 lbs, but my cholesterol level is 130 and my
blood pressure runs 117/84. I take no medications for anything,
whereas most Americans my age are on 3 different prescription
drugs. Heart disease also runs in the family: Grandma died of a
stroke, Dad has high cholesterol and high blood pressure and is
on medications for both. Neither relative ate/eats like I
suggest. Sometimes those you're the closest to will just not
listen to you.

It's a lot easier to count all these calories with a calorie


counting software. My wife and I use this one:

The Importance of Nutritional Testing

Hi Mario

Usually once a year the wife and I see our doctor for a
routine physical and have them check us out from head to
toe as a preventative measure. If your a youngster, less
than 40, then you have probably never done this and you
might be able to get away with it until your 45 or so
providing you are really healthy. Really healthy is simply,
you have not been sick, not even a cold, or had to take any
kind of prescription or over the counter medication for
anything in at least 5 or more years.

This was me in January of 2009. I had not been sick for


over five years with anything other than my long term
problem, which I believed was not giving me any problems.
Testing proved otherwise but that is a story for another
time.

Any way, part of this physical at my doctor is to have, if


you want, what is called a SpectraCell Analysis. To do this
test they take a little extra blood and then they check for
nutrients that are inside the cells.

Now I take a multivitamin very day and a couple other


things to support my body and immune system. For the most
part, I also eat like I preach in the previous newsletters.
At 48 my cholesterol, blood pressure, hormone levels, etc,
etc, are like those of a very healthy 20 year old male.

Both my wife and I did this test this year. I was low in
vitamin B1, B3, Choline and Inositol. The B vitamins wasn't
really surprising because most people are deficient in
certain B vitamins... but B3 is everywhere so how did that
happen? The Inositol and choline was a surprise as well.

Choline and Inositol maintain a correct metabolic rate of


fat which helps to control cholesterol and triglyceride
levels, mine are excellent so go figure. They are essential
for the proper function of the brain which improves memory
and the transmission of electrical impulses. Cholin alone
helps to detoxify the body. A cholin deficiency will cause
cirrhosis of the liver, hardening of the arteries,
Alzheimers, degeneration of nerves, high blood pressure,
and high cholesterol levels. It is found in yeast, wheat
germ and green vegetables.

Inositol is essential for fat metabolism, it carries lipids


from the liver to outside cells reducing cholesterol levels.
It is an essential part of the tissues and is an important
part of phospholipids. Studies have linked a deficiency to
reduce the flow of cerebrospinal fluid which produces
depression. It is found in nuts, beans, egg yolks, cereals,
grains, and soy lecithin.

Now I eat a lot of green vegetables, about 15 organic eggs


a week, Ezekial bread, some beans, so I was amazed to find
these problems. I started supplementing and my energy
levels have gone through the roof.

My wife was deficient in B12, Vitamin D not surprising


since she doesn't get any sun on a large area of skin
everyday, and selenium. Now looking at her other tests her
white blood cell counts were borderline low. Guess what,
B12 and selenium help boost these counts. Did my doctor
know that? No, he sure didn't, doctors don't know
everything. But they are very useful to get the tests you
need done, then, you can treat yourself. Now she
supplements with these nutrients and things have returned
to normal.

I should also mention that most women are chronically low in


vitamin D. Vitamin D is needed for the absorption of
calcium and phosphorus to produce bone tissue. A deficiency
causes decalcification of the bones, the first signs being
dental carries from minor to severe, osteoporosis, and
softening of the bone. It has also been called the
anti-cancer vitamin. It is found in fish, fish oil, eggs,
whole grain cereals, milk and liver. I would avoid the milk
like the plague as per one of my previous emails and cereal
grains aren't the greatest idea either. You can also get it
from 10 minutes of sun exposure everyday, which is by far
the easiest way when the weather is warm. In the winter
supplement, very simple.

I have had quite a few people email me and ask me why am I low in such and
such a nutrient when I eat this food item
that is supposed to contain that nutrient? Well, why am I low on
inositol when I eat 15 organic eggs a week?

Maybe because of soil depletion. Soil depletion occurs when


chemical fertilizers kill the microorganisms in the soil
that produce minerals for the plants. When an organic humus
bed is destroyed, plants grown in that soil lack minerals as
documented in 1936 by Dr. Northen in Senate Document 264.

Skin and Penile Yeast Infections

Men that are uncircumcised are at very high risk for penile yeast
infections. The flesh that covers the glans or head of the penis
causes moisture and heat, the perfect environment for yeast to
grow. In most cases, men will get a yeast infection from having
sex with a woman that has a yeast infection. It doesn't have to
be a severe vaginal yeast infection either, mild infections will
put the male at risk.

Men that are circumcised can get them as well although generally
they do not get them near as often. Many times the yeast will lie
dormant on the skin but will activate during sex and give the
woman a vaginal yeast infection. Men are also at risk from oral
sex with a partner that has thrush or oral yeast. Anal sex is
also a risk factor from intestinal yeast.

Once the yeast is firmly entrenched the infection can be


extremely hard to get rid of not to mention extremely painful.
The skin of the penis is very sensitive and many of the

infections. Left alone the skin will eventually harden from
macrophaging in the late stages. It will then crack and ooze

Penis Yeast Infection

Most of the time a penis yeast infection is found on the skin on the
outside of a man's penis and affects uncircumcised men much more
often than men that have been circumcised. Penile yeast infections for
circumcised men are actually quite rare because the glans is always
exposed to the air. This keeps it dry and at a cooler temperature.
Yeast needs heat and moisture to survive on the skin.

Sometime the yeast infection can get into the urethra and cause
problems. In these cases men get close to the same symptoms as
women do when they have a vaginal yeast infection. There can be
discharge from the penis and often it itches on the inside and is
extremely uncomfortable. There have been cases of the yeast getting
into the prostate gland but this is rare.

Men can get a penis yeast infection from sex with a woman that has a
vaginal yeast infection. From oral sex from a person with thrush, or
from anal sex with an infected individual.

Nonoxynol-9 is a common spermicide found in contraceptive products


that has been found to rapidly increase the growth of naturally
occurring yeast’s both in the vagina and on the skin.
Diabetes and of course antibiotics can play a role as well but with
penile yeast infections this possible cause is not as common as
intestinal yeast. However, intestinal yeast overgrowth can be a
contributing factor of any skin yeast condition.

Once the yeast has infected the skin the infections can be very hard to
get rid of. In time the skin will harden as the skin cells macrophage in
defense of the infection. This hardened skin will crack when the male
gets an erection and is extremely painful. At this point it can become
almost impossible to resolve. It is much easier to get rid of a penis
yeast infection in the early stages than the later stages.

Many men just think they have a penis yeast infection when they see
little white bumps on the penis known as Fordyce disease. These spots
are completely harmless and are actually sebaceous glands that
secrete oils for the protection of the skin. Other men have a condition
called Hirsuties papillaris genitalis, also called pearly penile papules,
which is also harmless but can be sensitive at times. These are
actually sweat glands or sebaceous glands on the penis as well.

Genital warts are also misdiagnosed as yeast and if you use white

Treating a Penis Yeast Infection

Many guys will make a trip to see their doctors for their penile yeast
infection and get some Diflucan in the pill form or cream form. Others
will pick up some Monistat 7 that women buy over the counter and use
for vaginal yeast infections. These things do work, but they don't seem
to work for everyone. Many times the infection gets better for a while
and then comes back, just like it does for women.

What do you do if that happens?

The best thing to do is don't let it get to that point. That is the point
where the yeast has become resistant to anti-fungals and much harder
to get rid of. It is of course much easier to prevent these infections
than it is to get rid of them but no one ever worries about that until
after the fact.

Some natural anti-fungal products for penis yeast infections you can
use are:

Gentian Violet is an older class anti-fungal that was used for years with
great success before the invention of the azole drugs, which could be
patented. It is natural and non-toxic and works well for yeast
infections of the skin. It does have a habit of turning your clothes
purple but people have reported that Zout takes out the stain.

Organic Coconut Oil is a medically proven anti-fungal and works by


exploding the nucleus and plasma of the inside of the yeast cell, which
of course kills it. It makes a great personal lubricant for sex and helps
prevent recurrences and yeast infections in your significant other. You
should also take a tablespoon or two by mouth everyday to treat the
inside as well.

Silver Fuzion® has been found to kill penile yeast very quickly and is
completely safe if you use a quality product. If you don't it will turn
you and your skin blue.

Probiotics for yeast can be used by emptying the capsule directly onto
the penis yeast infection and the active bacteria will go to work killing
the yeast. This is the same principle that is involved with many people
trying to cure this while using unsweetened and natural yogurt without
the mess. Plus you get a much higher dose of more effective strains of
good bacteria and it’s easier to take it every day by mouth for the
inside.

Organic Mediterranean Oregano Oil diluted in olive or coconut oil so it


does not burn the skin can be very effective for penile yeast infection.
It has been used successfully to treat yeast infections of the scalp in
people I personally know. Skin is skin guys so I have no doubt it will
work on your penis but just make sure you dilute it.

However, I have worked with guys who applied it directly to late stage
penile yeast that had hardened from macrophaging of the skin. They

Cinnamon Oil was found to be deadly against oral thrush when applied
directly to the infection. It therefore can be used directly on penis
yeast infections as well. You might have to dilute like you do with
oregano oil.

Some guys swear by white vinegar and others say it does not work. In
either case if you apply it straight it is going to burn like hell. So its
best to add it to a bath and soak for a while or dilute it before soaking
your penis yeast infection.

There is one more thing that I know for a fact will stop the growth of
yeast instantly in anyone who uses it, men or women. But the problem
is it is found in this ebook, and I don't think it would be right for me to
come right out and tell you what it is. The idea is simply brilliant and I
am amazed I have not seen it before or even heard of it. I will tell you
that it starts with the letters p s, two words.

Because yeast grows best in a warm moist environment it is best to


keep your penis as dry as possible. Tea Tree Oil Powder works very
well for this and because of the Tea Tree Oil it sometimes clears up the
infection on its own. It is also a very good idea to trim the hair as
short as possible because hair also attracts moisture and increases the
local body heat.

Restrict the sugar in your diet because sugar feeds yeast and the yeast
will eat it right out of your blood stream.

The best thing to do is pick 3 or 4 of the above methods to treat your


penis yeast infection and use all of them on a rotating basis. You
should do this because yeast builds resistance to anti-fungals and they
become ineffective with time if you stick with one thing. So if you use
3 or 4 of them you can use one for 4 or 5 days then stop and use the
next for 4 or 5 days. This also allows you to find what works best for
you and you can use that product for say 10 days, at the most, before
switching to something different for 4 days so it does not adapt, then
switch back after that 4 days. This method works very quickly to get
yeast under control in most cases.

It is highly suggested that treatment be continued for 30 days after all


symptoms have subsided to make sure you get it all. It is also
advisable to treat your significant other so when the time comes they
do not give it to you again.

You can use any of these methods above for penis yeast infection
prevention every week or two. Probably the easiest thing to do is use
coconut oil as a personal lubricant with your significant other, which of
course takes care of the both of you at one time.

If your penis yeast infection does not respond you probably have
herpes and what you are looking at is herpes sores, not yeast.

You cannot get rid of herpes but you can easily keep it under control.
Herpes is a virus and like any other virus travels from cell to cell by
secretion of an enzyme that digests a hole in the cell wall. Once inside
the virus wines and dines and alters the genetic code of the cell. It
then digests a way out and enters the cell next to the infected cell by
the same process.

By taking things that strengthen the cell wall the virus will be able to
enter the cell but it is much harder for it to do so. However, a strong
cell will not let the virus get out and spread to the next cell. The
immune system then has the time to target the bad cell and remove it
from the body.

Cell walls are made out of 60% collagen, 35% fats, and 5% is various
other common minerals. Collagen is primarily made out of vitamin c, l-
lysine, and l-proline. So if you supplement with these things on a daily
basis your herpes infection will not be become active. I suggest a pre-
made formula called Vitamin C with Bioflavonoids, Querticin, Green
Tea, L-lysine and L-Proline. I suggest 24 capsules a day in the
beginning then 8 to 12 capsules a day for maintenance.

I will be making a donation soon; I finally found a job after 2 years of


unemployment, and after just 9 weeks on the diet I have lost 60
pounds of pure fat from a size 39+ to a fit 33. I have no candida

The Solution and Protocol for Chronic and Systemic Candida
Yeast

Below is the yeast infection cure protocol for chronic and systemic
yeast. It will work for everyone and correct toxic overload, restore
intestinal ph, remove mercury and other metals, and restore intestinal
immune function to normal. It may also balance out of control
hormone levels because you remove the mercury, which disrupts
hormone function.

Yeast Infection Cure Directions

Make sure you follow the candida diet found on this site or the one
found in the updated Candida Diet Newsletter Series while you do this.
At least control the sugar intake while eliminating gluten (grains),
yeast foods, dairy, soy foods, tuna, swordfish, shellfish, shark,
fructose, trans fats, aspartame, and splenda. Eat plenty of vegetables
and white meats are preferred over beef and pork. Drink plenty of
good clean water free of chlorine and fluorides. Try not to cheat or
your progress will be hampered. If you do cheat make sure the foods
are low glycemic.

NOTE: Eliminating trans fat means that only good oils should be used
for cooking or salad dressings because you are going to remove the
foods containing them on this diet any way. The good oils are olive oil,
flax seed oil, and coconut oil. All the rest cause inflammation and are
extremely bad for your heart.

If you are suffering from high stress levels you need to get it under
control. Stress can reduce immune function by 50% and when fighting
something as tough as yeast you need your immune system working
at its best. You can learn more about the effects of stress on the body

Stage 1 of the Yeast Infection Cure Protocol

The first thing you need to do is address any possible mercury issues
because yeast is an immune system reaction to mercury. It absorbs its
own weight in mercury and by doing so it binds it so it cannot enter
the blood stream to poison you. As a result, the more mercury you
have, the more yeast you are going to have.
The best thing to do is go to the Mercury Pages on this website and
educate yourself on this issue. Attached to the first page at the bottom
is a page that goes through exactly what you need to do for treatment
for mercury poisoning.

Do not overlook this critically important step of the yeast infection cure
protocol. 80 to 85% of those people that suffer from chronic yeast
infections have to much mercury in their bodies. If you don't get rid of
that mercury, then the yeast will keep reproducing in defense of your
body, and you will continue to have yeast overgrowth problems no
matter what you do.

After you have completed the mercury heavy metal detox, if it was
needed, and you still have yeast issues, proceed to Stage 2.

If you tested yourself for mercury and it was not a problem so you did
not do the heavy metal cleanse? You should still prepare the body for
the candida cleanse by doing 30 days of the Ultimate Colon Cleanse.

This cleanse removes any old compacted wastes in your intestines,


kills any parasites, kills yeast, and helps you to stay regular during the
initial yeast die-off. Start the cleanse and stay on it for two weeks then
start the anti-fungal protocol below.

A few things to remember if this is the way you end up doing this
yeast cleanse because mercury was not a problem for you. The
Candida Yeast Management has to be taken at least 45 minutes to 1
hour before you take the morning doses of the Ultimate Cleanse. After
that hour take the parasite capsules and 10 to 20 minutes later take
the fiber. Then you can eat breakfast. The probiotics that come with

For those of you that prefer to not use a fiber based cleanse. I

also keep using the Oxy-powder if you need too during Stage 2 to stay
regular. Just take it at the dose that works for you.

Stage 2 of the Yeast Infection Cure Protocol

You will need 1 NSI Candida Yeast Management or 2 Candex. or 1 or 2


- 180 Count Syntol
These almost identical enzyme formulas eat the cell wall of candida
yeast or any other fungi severely weakening it and effectively killing it.
Candida yeast has no defense against these enzymes and it usually
does not produce any die-off reactions.

However, Syntol not only has the enzymes but also added bacteria.
One of these bacteria has been in use since the early 1940's and is so
strong it was found to kill almost all harmful pathogens in the
intestines, while being completely safe. It is a little more pricey but is
well worth it in my opinion. You could use Syntol in place of any of the
probiotics listed in Stage 3 as well, but if you do that you are going to

You will also need 1 NSI CandidaClear

NSI CandidaClear for the yeast infection cure most active ingredient is
Undecylenic acid from castor beans, although all the ingredients kill
yeast. It has been shown to be approximately six times more effective
as an anti-fungal than caprylic acid, and is effective in maintaining a
healthy balance of intestinal and vaginal flora. NSI CandidaClear also
kills all forms of yeast whether it be candida albicans, candida
tropicalis, or candida glabrata.

You will need 1 container of Organic Coconut Oil. or 8 coconut oil


capsules.

Coconut Oil for the yeast infection cure has been found in studies to
explode the nucleus of the candida yeast cell. The studies found that
lauric acid was more effective than the caprylic acid and together with
the other 8 fats found in coconut oil, they are a very potent
combination for killing yeast. In the studies the cell wall remained
intact, the enzymes will handle that, but the inner plasma and nucleus
exploded, which killed the candida yeast. It also is a great source of
essential fats for good health.

You should do all your cooking of fried foods with it because it is so


heat stable and does not create free radicals. It also has a very good
Omega 3 fatty acid profile which will greatly improve your overall
health and reduce inflammation. Now there are 109 tablespoons in 1
container so you might be able to get away with one, but to be safe, I
think I would get 2, especially if you do any cooking with it.

You will need 2 Cinnamon Oil.


Cinnamon oil has been proven to be deadly on oral thrush caused by
yeast and fungi on immuno-compromised AIDS patients. It also helps
control blood sugar levels and reduces inflammation from ulcers in the
digestive system. Ulcers are caused by the bacteria known as
Helicobacter pylori that are sometimes present with intestinal yeast.

You will need 2 Oregano Oil.

Oregano oil is a proven yeast and fungal killer. There are many studies
to prove this on the Natural Treatment page if you care to read them.

You will need 3 Candidate,

Candidate's main ingredient comes from the bark of the Pau d'arco
tree in South America. The bark itself, which in spite of being in the
rain forest with high heat and humidity never grows any mold, mildew,
or fungus, proving its anti-fungal potency. Laboratory tests have
demonstrated that both Lapachol and beta-lapachone, the active
ingredients in the tree, have anti-fungal properties as potent as
ketoconazole. It also contains Calendula officinalis, which has strong
anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties and is also an effective
liver tonic. It improves overall system functioning and aids in the
removal of toxins from the body. Lemon grass is also present and has
known anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties and can help to repair
intestinal walls that have been damaged by Candida overgrowth
('leaky gut' syndrome).

I also suggest you get 1 Potassium Sorbate, especially if this has


become a chronic problem. Potassium sorbate is a food preservative
that is used to prohibit molds and yeast in many foods and
supplements. It also is used to stop the fermentation process in wine
and beer because it instantly stops the growth of yeast and renders it
unable to multiply. This allows the natural anti-fungal products I
recommend to kill any remaining yeast that were affected by the
potassium sorbate.

It has a very long track record of safety and no adverse side effects.
Allergic reactions are rare and its non-irritating and non-sensitizing.
Most potassium sorbate is extracted from the European Rowan fruit or
blueberries so your not taking a chemical. With all that said some of
you will prefer not to take it and that's fine. It is your choice.

I would continue to take the probiotic you decided on for the heavy
metal cleanse at the dose that works for you so you stay regular.
Not everyone is going to be able to follow this yeast infection cure
protocol as I have it laid out below do to personal time schedules, so
make the necessary adjustments for you.

Make sure you stay on the diet as well.

Yeast Infection Cure Daily Dosages and Rotation Directions

1st and 2nd Rotation

Candida Yeast Take 2 caps 1 hour before breakfast and 2 at


Management bedtime everyday.
Coconut oil or capsules Take 1 tbls or 4 capsules with breakfast and
dinner everyday.
Cinnamon Oil Take 6 drops 2 x a day after breakfast and
dinner for 4 days then stop and start
Candidaclear.
NSI CandidaClear Take 2 Capsules 2 x a day in-between meals
for 4 days then stop and start taking Oregano
oil.
Oregano Oil Take 5 drops 2 x a day after breakfast and
dinner for 4 days then stop and start

To Clarify the Above Charts: You take each thing for 4 days at the
dose suggested, except for the Enzymes and coconut oil which you
take everyday. Then stop and take the next and so on. Once you get
to the last anti-fungal herb and take it for 4 days you start over and do
it again. When you've gone through it once that's 1 rotation, a second
time through is 2 rotations, a third time through is the 3rd rotation, a
fourth time through is the 4th rotation.

After you've completed 4 rotations proceed to Stage 3 below.

Stage 3 of the Yeast Infection Cure Protocol

Once you run out of most of the anti-fungals go ahead and start Stage
3. However, nothing says you have to wait this long either, you are
the doctor here and only you know how you feel. If you feel it is
beneficial for you to start sooner then by all means do so.

Any leftover anti-fungal products from the above rotation should be


taken during Stage 3 until gone.

You will need a good probiotic for this stage of the yeast infection
treatment and I recommend either Total Immune Booster under
products, CP-1 or Iflora to help restore good bacterial levels to normal.
Total Immune Booster has an added benefit because of the beta
glucans for the immune system. Tib should be taken at a dose of 2
capsules 3 times a day on an empty stomach with water.

However, CP-1 is extremely potent because it contains 50 billion live


bacteria per capsule and many people report that this is the only
probiotic that works for them. Follow the directions on the CP-1 page
on how to take it.

Iflora for the yeast infection cure protocol is very potent too at 32
billion per capsule. There are also 16 species of bacteria verses CP-1
and TIB's 5 species. But you get less capsules in a bottle than CP-1,
which monetary wise is the best deal. It does not have to be
refrigerated but I suggest you do just to maintain potency like you
should do with TIB and CP-1. I would take it as I suggest on the Iflora
page.

If your going to take something else that you can pick up at the store
and it says it has 1 billion bacteria per capsule; make sure you take at
least 50 capsules a day. Better yet, follow the directions on how to
take CP-1, that will allow you to find the right dose for you that will
give you the greatest health benefits.

That is it! Very simple and very effective for candida yeast and
sometimes it begins to work the very first day.

NOTE If you have candida glabrata, candida parapsilosis or candida


tropicalis and your good bacterial levels tested normal? This can
happen, especially with glabrata, because glabrata does not attach to
the intestinal wall in a multi-cellular form. It is a single celled spore
form of candida yeast and multiplies by division, so it can live right
along side good bacteria. The other two species I have seen on stool
tests results and the person had 4+ good bacterial levels. This tells me
that these species can live right alongside acidophilus and

Hey Dan,

It took about five months. I followed your plan: two months ofultimate
colon cleanse, two months of zeolite pure powder, then Irotated the
herbs. I still have a bit of the herbs left, but they're basically gone.
The only thing I did differently was I raised all the doses much higher
than you suggested. I got up to 12 syntol a day, 4 latero flora, 12
candida clear, 40 drops 3 times a day of candidate, and 10 drops 2
times a day of oregano oil. With the coconut oil, instead of pills I
started melting a tablespoon of it into a cup of peppermint tea. That
became one of my favorite things of the day.
