Section IV – Fire and Explosion Hazard Data

Flash Point (Method Used) : Flammable Limits : LEL : UEL :
390 0 C N.A N.A N.A
Auto ignition temperature :
N.A ( > 600 0F, estimated)
General Hazard :
Solid Material may burn at or above the flash point and airborne dust may
explode if ignited.
If thermally decomposed, flammable/toxic gases may be released. Toxic gases
will form upon combustion.
Static Discharge, material can accumulate static charges, which can cause an
incendiary electrical discharge.
Extinguishing Media :
Use water fog, foam, dry chemical or CO2
Special Fire Fighting Procedure
Material will not burn unless preheated. Do not enter confined fire spa without
full bunker gear (helmet with face shield, bunker coats, gloves rubber boats),
respiratory (including positive pressure NIOSH approved self-container
breathing apparatus) and eye protection required for fire fighting personnel.
Use water spray to cool fire exposed surfaces and to protect personnel. Isolate
“fuel” supply to fire. Extinguish the fire by cooling with water spray.
Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazard :
Treat as solid That can burn. Molded part generally burns slowly with a low
smoke density and flaming drips.

Section V - Reactivity Data

Stability Unstable Conditions to Avoid
No Temperatures over 290 0C may cause resin degradation
Stable
Yes
Incompatibility (Material to avoid) :
Strong oxidizing agent, Fluorine
Hazardous Decomposition or Byproduct :
At processing temperatures, some degree of thermal degradation will occur,
although highly dependent on temperature and environmental conditions,
variety decomposition products may be present ranging from simple
hydrocarbons (such as methane and propane)to toxic and irritating gases
( Carbon monoxide and dioxide, acrolein, acids, ketones, aldehydes)
Hazardous Polymerization May occur Condition to Avoids
No N.A
Will not Occur
Yes

Section VI - Health Hazard Data

Route(s) of exposure
Inhalation :
Negligible hazard at ambient temperature (-18 0C ~ +380C). Vapors and/or aerosols,
which may be formed at elevated temperatures, may be irritating to eyes and
respiratory tract.
Eye contact :
Filaments or particulate may scratch eye surface/cause mechanical irritation.
Skin contact :
Negligible hazard at ambient temperatur (-18 0C ~ +380C). Exposure to hot material
may cause thermal burns.
Ingestion :
Minimal Toxicity.
Health Hazards Acute overexposure
NA
Chronic overexposure
NA
Emergency and First Aid Procedures
Inhalation :
In case of adverse exposure to vapors and/or aerosol formed at elevated
temperatures, immediately remove the affected victim from exposure. Administer
artificial respiration if breathing is stopped. Keep at rest. Call prompt medical
attention.
Eye contact :
Flush eye with water if irritation occurs. If in eye, remove as one would any
foreign object.
Skin contact :
For hot product (molten product), immediately immerse in or flush the affected
area with large amounts of cold water to dissipate heat. Cover with clean cotton
sheeting or gauze and get prompt medical attention. No attempt should be made to
remove material from skin or to remove contaminated clothing, as the damaged
flesh can easily torn.
Ingestion :
First aid is normally not required.
Note to physician :
If irritation to finest persist, get medical attention.

Section VII – Precautions for Sale Handling and Use

Steps to be Taken in Case is Released or spilled
Land Spill
Recover spilled material and place in suitable containers for reclaiming or disposal. Consult an
expert on disposal of recovered material and ensure conformity to local disposal regulations.
Water Spill
Recover the spilled material and place in suitable containers for recliming or disposal. Consult
an expert on disposal of recovered material and ensure conformity to local disposal regulations.
The US EPA under the Clean Water Act (40CFR122.26) defines plastic pellets as a
“significant material” which requires any industrial plant that may expose pellets to storm
water to secure a storm water permit. Violations of the rule carry the same penalties as other
Clean Water Act violations. Pellets found in strom water run off are subject to EPA regulations
with potential for substantial fines and penalties

Storage and Handling
Keep container closed. Handle and open containers with cares. Store in a well-
ventilated place away from incomptible materials. Do NOT Handle or store near an
open flame, heat or other source of ignition, Protect material from direct sunlight

Section VIII - Control Measures

Respiratory Protection
Not ordinarily required for open systems at ambient temperature (-18 0C ~ +38 0C)
Ventilation
Well ventilation and/or engineering controls are required when product is heated in
processing.
Eye Protection
Not ordinarily required. Where contact is likely, wear safety glasses
Protective Gloves
Not ordinarily required.
