ABSTRACT
Background: Oral surgery emergencies are serious and life threatening cases. Not only trauma, other
emergency cases such as risk of severe infections and consideration of the patient's age are also a
problem that is often encountered in oral surgery cases that enter the emergency room. Objective: This
study aims to determine the patterns of emergency oral surgery cases at the non elective surgery
department of RSUD Undata in January 2017-April 2019. Research Methods: The research method
used was retrospective descriptive with a qualitative approach. The data used in the study are
secondary data originating from the register book of the non elective surgery of RSUD Undata.
Sampling in this study using the total sampling method. Data analysis was performed univariately to
describe the frequency distribution of each variable. Result: we found 27.3% of mandibular abscesses,
9.1% of mandibular phlegmons, 27.3% of Dentoalveolar fractures, 9.1% of dental-ductal fractures,
9.1% of mandibular fractures, 18.1% of Vulnus laceratum. 54% men and 46% women. 36.4% included
ages 26-45 years, 27.3% 12-25 years, 18.1% 6-11 years, 9.1% 0-5 years and 9.1% 45-65 years.
Conclusion: the most cases are dentoalveolar fractures and mandibular abscesses. More male than
female. Cases of trauma are quite significant compared to non-trauma. Ages 26-45 years have the
highest prevalence.
ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang: Kegawatdaruratan bedah mulut merupakan kasus yang serius dan dapat mengancam
nyawa. Tidak hanya kasus trauma, kasus kegawatdaruratan lain seperti resiko infeksi berat dan
pertimbangan usia pasien juga menjadi masalah yang sering ditemui pada kasus bedah mulut yang
masuk di ruang emergensi.
Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola kasus operasi emergency bedah mulut pada
instalasi bedah non elektif RSUD Undata Palu periode Januari 2017-April 2019.
Metode Penelitian: metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptik retrospektif dengan
pendekatan kualitatif. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah data sekunder yang berasal dari
buku register pasien bedah non elektif RSUD Undata. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini
menggunakan metode total sampling. Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat untuk menggambarkan
distribusi frekuensi masing-masing variabel.
Hasil Penelitian: ditemukan 27.3 % abses mandibula, 9.1% Flegmon mandibula, 27.3 % Fraktur
Dentoalveolar, 9.1 % Fraktur dentalokdus, 9.1 % Fraktur mandibular, 18.1 % Vulnus laseratum. 54 %
laki-laki dan 46 % perempuan. 36.4 % mencakup usia 26-45 tahun, 27.3 % 12-25 tahun, 18.1 % 6-11
tahun, 9.1 % 0-5 tahun dan 9.1 % 45-65 tahun.
Kesimpulan: kasus terbanyak merupakan fraktur dentoalveolar dan abses mandibular. Jenis kelamin
laki-laki lebih banyak dibanding perempuan. Kasus trauma cukup signifikan dibandingkan non trauma..
Usia 26-45 tahun memiliki prevalensi terbanyak.
