The issue of the processing of data security and verification of infringements is

currently being addressed in Pakistan's Draft Data Protection Bill 2020, which
governs the collection, processing, use and disclosure of personal data.
Effective laws governing social media are required at an hour and, in any
civilized/democratic society, the perspectives of members of the public likely
to be influenced by the law/regulation are accepted to ensure that the
law/regulation is balanced. It is good that the consultant has been given the
power and authority to remove any illegal content floating on any social media
platform.
This act also offers the right visibility regarding unauthorized acts. This has
placed pressure to censor the 'illegal material' of racism, terrorism, violence,
any fake news on services providers.
According to our perspective all the acts should be just like this, there should
be media laws because if there is no media laws and regulations, meaning that
if we won't ask answers from the people then they will start supposing that
they are not answerable and accountable to anyone which will result in an
increase in the act of terrorism and domestic violence.
Apart from terrorism if we take example of the recent activities like how
France Prime minister promoted the animations of our Holy Prophet (S. A. W)
and if we memories the events of 2020 all the products which had their
manufacturing roots from France were boycotted at an extreme level.
This law does not directly deal with "fake news;" it may be something that the
government finds offensive to domestic security. Such laws and rules on social
media should be introduced and enforced to prevent disruptions of any sort. If
it is not examined that what is going on in social media, it will generate a lot of
problem for the entire world.
