1. Measure 25cm3 of the alkali using a pipette and place it into a
flask. 2. Pour the acid into the burette. Note the initial volume of the acid. 3. Add one drop of indicator into the flask containing an alkali. 4. Now open the tap of the burette and add the acid drop by drop into alkali. 5. When the color of the indicator changes, stop adding the acid and note the final volume of the acid and calculate the total volume used. 6. Now discard the solution obtained. 7. Take another 25cm3 of alkali in flask. 8. Now add the same volume of acid into the flask as calculated in previous titration. 9. Shake well the solution obtained. 10. Salt can be obtained by evaporation to dryness or crystallization.
