2. Viva Voce - 30 Marks
3. Attendance - 05 Marks
4. Simulation Exercises (Mediation/Negotiation) – 30 Mark

a) Opening Statement in the Joint Opening Session: Identification of live

issues for discussion and negotiation in the mediation session.

(5 marks)
b) Exploration of both side’s Interests and Needs: Open questions; Active
listening; Using the gathered information relevant to the core issues and
establishing common ground to facilitate Communication between the
parties.
(5 marks)
c) Interaction between Lawyer and Client Team : Encouraging team work .
(5 Marks)
d) Building a problem-solving relationship with the Teams • Encouraging
realistic and viable options for resolving the issues; Receiving options for
resolving the live issues; Evaluating and responding to options for realistically
resolving the issues. (5 marks)
e) Effective Conclusion: Conclude the interview skill fully and leave the
client with a feeling of reasonable confidence and understanding, with
appropriate reassurance, and with a clear sense of specific expectations and
mutual obligations to follow. (5marks)
f) Working Atmosphere, Professionalism and Ethical Conduct.
