In some sectors of Myanmar society ,women have been somehow contradistinguished
conventionally ever since the beginning of the nation .These sectors include politics ,business and religion most apparently .This is because of some misconceptions ,which are entrenched in the hearts of the people and ought to be dealt with one step at a time. To begin with ,some associations favour men against women ,that is women are oftentimes discriminated just because of their gender ,which is saddening .In some business and politic communities ,women are not entitled to be in high positions even though they are qualified enough .Likewise ,segregation is also applied in some religions in our country .For instance ,women do not have access to some religious places that are regarded as holy .We can notice some other ways of distinguishing men from women in most parts of the country. The main reason for that partiality is the misconceptions embedded in our mindset that play down the significance of female .Most people believe that women are weak as well as vulnerable ,which has traditionally made women responsible for their household chores and hinders them from working together with men .Furthermore ,some religions considered women inauspicious although they do not know the reason .Hence ,those misconceptions are the root of the case. This misunderstanding of the ability of women needs to be ironed out so as to advance our nation as a nation of gender equality ,gradually though not quickly .The first thing to do is try to realise and rid ourselves of our illogical misconceptions .Then we have to accept the potentiality of women .After that ,they should be allowed to play an important in the building up of our nation .In this way ,their capability will be optimised . All in all ,we all know that women are implicitly explicitly marginalised in most parts of our country as a result of our misunderstanding ,and this somehow has some negative impacts on the development of our mother country .Therefore ,We have to perceive their competence and utilise it in order to enjoy the advantages of gender equality nationwide.
