Campus Life

What is in your mind when you hear about campus life? Some people
think that campus life is an enjoyable thing. Some people also think that campus
life is burdensome. Actually, campus life is challenge for me. Why? It is a
challenge because senior high school life that I have been through is different
from campus life. Sometimes, it can be enjoyable thing and burdensome thing.

Actually, in PKN STAN, the learning process is not totally different from
senior high school for me. As long as I feel and experience until now, the lecturer
is just like my teacher when I was in senior high school. The lecturer taught us
lesson deeply. Maybe, it happened because the PKN STAN students mostly are
from science program when they were senior high school student, so that the
lecturer maybe thought that most of PKN STAN students are not familiar with
accounting, tax, and economy. It is such an fortune thing for me because I was in
science program before. But, the task and quiz sometimes are make me stressed
because I still adapt myself to the lesson.

I also met so many people from many regions and many backgrounds in
PKN STAN. I met people with different culture, different personality, and
different consideration. Actually, as long as I lived in Wonosobo, I just met the
same person day by day. So, it was such a new thing for me. I must adapt myself
with the condition. However, I’m really glad with the fact because knowing many
people from many regions expands my knowledge about various culture in
Indonesia. Besides, I also know about how to socialize with so many people from
different background.
 Nevertheless, PKN STAN applies drop out system for students that do not
have Grade Point Average higher than 2,75. It is different from the other campus
that usually kick out the students that have Grade Point Average at 1,00-2,00. It
made PKN STAN’s students try their best to understand the lesson, mid exam,
and final exam. There are some ambitious students in this campus. Sometimes, it
stressed me because I think and feel that I’m left behind, but it pushed me to be
more diligent than before.

PKN STAN also make a rules that oblige the students to make absence
less than 2 meetings. It made the students should often come to the lesson
meeting. There’s no “titip absen” word, like the other college students habit, in
PKN STAN because the lecturer will call the student’s name one by one. If the
students does not come to the lesson meeting more than two meetings at average,
the students will be not permitted to join the exam. Not joining the exam is same
with making yourself be drop out students.

If you were the other college students, it is up to you in choosing whether

be an active students or passive students as long as you are part to the college. It is
totally different when you attend PKN STAN. PKN STAN applies SKPM to
measure how active the students are. It is a new thing for me honestly. I was so
excited to join many activities in the college because I know that in the future I
will be Civil Servant, so I must improve my soft skills beside my hard skills in
academic side. With outside academic activities, I can improve my confidence and
practice to manage my time well.

In this campus, I want to be student that can manage time to balance

academic and non-academic. I want to get good Grade Point Average in order to
make my family happy and proud of me. I want to get cumlaude predicate. Not
only getting good Grade Point Average, but also having capability to implement
the knowledge in life because I believe that the essence of life is to serve the other
and knowledge is the way to make my principle be real. As PKN STAN’s student,
I also want to join some extracurricular activity. Until now, I joined Sanggar Seni
Pajak and Korps Sukarela PMI PKN STAN. I very enjoyed the activities because
I could refresh my mind through it.
 In fact, I enjoy my new life in this college. I hope I can always make
myself better and better than yesterday through being part of PKN STAN. I hope
my life in PKN STAN will be like flower path and full of beautiful memories.
