Explanatory section for lecturers: the lecturer describes in detail what specific
tasks of the course program should be taken during the trimester and how they will
be evaluated. The most direct way in which a student is tested to achieve goals in
learning a subject is through assessment criteria.
Criteria are developed by analyzing learning outcomes and identifying specific
characteristics that contribute to the overall task. Structurally aligned assessment
criteria begin with a noun that complements the verb in the assessment task. For
example, if the goal is to “explain how the concepts in the subject are
interconnected”, one of the criteria may be “Clarity of explanation”. That is, the
criterion that describes the quality in the assessment task, which will be evaluated
during the assessment. Other commonly used quality words used in the criteria
include: accuracy; duration; depth; impact; legibility; originality; brevity;
attendance and participation.
If there are any requirements for attendance or participation, they should be
spelled out in the appropriate topic. Students who do not meet minimum
attendance or participation requirements may be denied eligibility to take the end
of course exam or be considered for zero grading. This may cause the student to
receive a "fail grade" on the course. If attendance is a mandatory requirement of
the subject, the attendance record should be kept. There are times when it is
appropriate to evaluate participation. In cases where participation is assessed,
appropriate performance criteria and standards must be established that can be
respected in the group. Common goals for students would be to demonstrate that
they can work together, behave ethically, evaluate information, or provide useful
feedback. Students will also need to receive constructive feedback about their
performance in this area.

6.3 Criteria for assessing tasks of laboratory practical classes

Explanation for the academic staff: in paragraph 6.3, the lecturer describes
the criteria by which the tasks of laboratory and practical training will be
evaluated, in which cases for the completed task the student receives a grade of
“excellent”,“ good”, “satisfactory”, “unsatisfactory”.
