ENGLISH – BUSINESS INTERVIEW

Mita : Hello, Good Morning. Take a seat please

Melati : Good Morning, thank you
Mita : What’s your name?
Melati : My name is Putri Melati But you can call me Melati
Mita : Okey, Mrs. Melati so where do you live?
Melati : I live in Batam Centre
Mita : Ouhh okey, so how long did you get here?
Melati : Mm.. approx. 30 minutes
Mita : Well, long journey huh
Melati : Yes, not bad
Mita : Okey, let’s get started. My name is Syalom Mita my position in here as a HRD of this
company. Today we will be interviewing for an administrative staff position. so we
start from you, you can introduce yourself, then tell us about your work experience, and
then your busyness maybe at this time.
Melati : Okay, my name is Putri Melati I came from Java and I have lived here long enough.
Gratefull, I am graduate of class 2020 at UIB, and I’m one of the best students on my
campus, and I also joined one of the organizations there to add my experience and
insight. Well..I really like joining organizations since junior high school.
For work experience, I worked at BNI bank as an administrative staff, and at a private
company (PERSERO) as accounting staff. And I believe I can work under pressure.

Mita : Okey… if you were stationed out of town, would you be willing?

Melati : I am happy to be willing and I am always ready for anything, thankfully I can add my
experience there and broaden my horizons. So, it doesn't matter to me where you put me.

Mita : Alraight, next question, I want to know what made you interested in joining this
company, especially choosing as administrative staff?

Melati : Initially I found out about this company through my friend, he told me that your
company is looking for workers as administrative staff, I just so happen to be looking for
a job and your qualifications really match to me, from there I am very interested in
applying for this company.
Mita : Okey…everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses, so tell me about your
strengths and weaknesses.

Melati : First, my strengths are, that I’m a confident person, I’m also very committed to
something, and of course I’m also very responsible. I do all things with pleasure, then all
my work will be ready on time.

Mita : Based on the strengths you have, what is very supportive for the progress of this
company?

Melati : What the company needs is thoroughness, neatness, diligence and dexterity, with all
that, I believe this company will be very advanced and very developed, and may it all be
in me.

Mita : And your weakness?

Melati : One of my weakness is that I am impatient, I also feel uncomfortable if my

responsibilities or my job are not completed.

Mita : Alraight then, your position will be as administrative staff, how much salary do you
want? I just want to know.

Melati : For salary, I just follow the company rules, but if you know, how much is the price for
an administration? surely you already knows about it so I just followed the company
