Alternative channel of distribution :- Post office

We can also choose Indian post office as a our channel of distribution because Indian post office
has already high reach in rural areas of India (Exhibit 1). We can use post office as a store and
post man as a sales man of d.light. Postman is educated so they can easily understand how to use
soler lamp and he also can make awareness and tell advantage of soler lamp in village. People
can trust them because post office is good brand itself. We will give them incentive to sell the
product. This deal could be also benefits for government as well because net expenditure is far
more then revenue generated of post office (Exhibit 2) means it going in loss. One more
advantage of select of post office is that we also sell our product on EMI basic. People can buy
product and they have option to pay the cost of product on the monthly basic so it could be
affordable for them.
