The Spirit's Role in Convicting Sin

The Spirit convicts us of sin to draw us closer to Christ, not condemn us. When we acknowledge our sin sincerely in confession, it can strengthen our relationship with God rather than weaken it. While our culture has lost an understanding of objective truth and sees everything as relative, the Spirit reveals the truth about our sin to convert us. Becoming more aware of sin through the Spirit's guidance brings us closer to God by illuminating areas we need to repent of and change.
