I was not impressed with this show. And for being a Pulitzer Prize Winner, I was kind of
disappointed. Aside from the controversial topics, they fail to acknowledge the molestation of
Avery and when they get caught for scamming the theater, Avery, the only black person that
works there, gets blamed even though he was forced into the scam. I honestly think the only
reason this play is acceptable is because a woman wrote it. Maybe I’m too young to get the
deeper meaning or too hard headed, but I personally would not recommend this show.
