Scan to File naar Windows Server 2003/2008
Windows Server 2003/2008 met Active Directory is, in standaard configuratie, niet in staat te
communiceren met de “scan to file” functie van de volgende e-STUDIO modellen:

• e-STUDIO165/205*
• e-STUDIO230/280
• e-STUDIO350/450
• e-STUDIO3511/4511

In standaard configuratie is in een Windows Server 2003/2008 Domain Server de instelling; “Active
Directory requires digital signatures of SMB packets for increased security” actief. Aangezien de
vermelde e-STUDIO modellen deze instelling niet ondersteunen, zal de scan-to-file niet kunnen
werken.

Indien u geen aanpassingen wenst te maken op uw Windows Server 2003/2008 is het mogelijk om
als alternatief, voor scan-to-file ipv het SMB protocol het FTP protocol (naar de FTP server van
Windows) toe te passen.

Oplossing

Volgens de nu omschreven procedure kan de Windows Server 2003/2008 ADS settings worden
aangepast, zodat de “scan to file” functie kan worden gebruikt.

*Met laatste firmware versie kan er standaard worden gescand naar Windows Server 2003/2008.

Procedure uitschakelen SMB packet signing
Windows Server 2003
1. Klik op Start, vervolgens Programs, Administrative Tools, dan Domain Controller Security
Policy. (Programma’s, Systeembeheer, Beveiligingsbeleid voor Domein Controller)
2. Open Security Settings (Beveiligings Opties).
3. Open vervolgens Local Policies (Locaal Beleid).
4. Selecteer vervolgens Security Options (Beveiligings Opties)

5. Rechts-klikken op
Microsoft network server: Digitally sign communications (always), Microsoft netwerk
server communicatie digitaal ondertekenen (altijd). Overtuig u ervan dat u het juiste item
selecteert, omdat ze allen erg op elkaar lijken!
Klik op Properties.

6. Vink aan Define this policy setting

Activeer Disabled, klik op OK

7. Herhaal dit vervolgens vanaf Punt 1

maar dan voor de Domain Security
Policy (Domein Beveiligings Beleid).

Procedure uitschakelen SMB packet signing
Windows Server 2008
1. Klik op Start, vervolgens Run en toets in gpmc.msc

Het venster Group Policy Management wordt geopend.

2. Klik in de console tree met rechtermuis op Default Domain Controller Policy en klik op

 3. Ga naar Computer Configuration, Policies, Windows Settings, Security Settings, Local
Policies, Security Options.

4. Ga vervolgens naar de Policy Microsoft network server: Digitally sign communications

(always) Hier rechts- op klikken en ga naar Properties

 5. Vink aan Define this policy setting Activeer Disabled, klik op OK

6. Sluit de vensters van de Group Policy Management Editor

7. Ga naar Start, Run en toets in CMD

Er wordt een Command Prompt geopend, toets in gpupdate /force gevolgd door de Enter-
toets

De policies zijn nu geupdated.

Indien het scannen niet functioneert naar Windows Server 2003
De volgende foutmeldingen kunnen met scannen naar bestand optreden (de foutmeldingen zijn via
het Scan Log onder Job Status terug te vinden):

Dit is als volgt te controleren:

Controleer de TCP/IP settings van de server, mogelijk staat NETBIOS over TCP/IP op disabled.
Deze moet op Enabled staan.

Oorzaak
1. User Login/password niet correct
2. De gebruikte User heeft geen schrijf rechten op de share en/of folder.
Controleer de rechten:

Klik op onder Delen op Machtigingen (Permissions)

Klik op Beveiliging (Security)

Zorg dat de gebruikte user volledig beheer heeft

Zorg dat de gebruikte user Volledig beheer heeft.

Zorg dat onder File Sharing de gebruikte gebruiker als rechten Co-owner (Mede eigenaar) heeft.

Klik op Security (Beveiliging)

Controleer of de gebruikte user Full control (Volledig beheer) heeft.
