DYNAPAC F 150 C
The Dynapac F 150 C paver finisher
with integrated emulsion spray system
shows the new perspectives of asphalt
road construction. The actual working
method of the finisher as well as all
substantial performance parameters
remain unchanged. Based on the well
proven technology of the F-type pavers,

Engine and operation
The F 150 C is equipped with a powerful six-cyl-
inder-Deutz turbo engine with sufficient power
reserves to be able, if necessary, to climb hilly
roads in transport speed range. The drives of
the two auger halves are also fitted with vari-
able piston displacement pumps so that maxi-
mum efficiency and a greatly improved heat
balance of the hydraulic system are ensured.
All our engines have a constant speed gover-
nor, which, by means of a contactless induction
sensor, determines the exact speed. In case the
engine speed drops, when the machine climbs
the F 150 C is additionally equipped
with a tack coating spray bar, located on
the front of the machine. The hydraulic
extension/retraction of the spray bar is
independent from the screed. To spray
emulsion, the F 150 C is fitted with an
integrated emulsion tank, with a capac-
ity of approx. 2.800 ltr.

injection pump to make sure that the preset
speed is maintained. This guarantees a constant
operation speed and tamping rate, permitting
consistent compaction. Due to the hydrostatic
drives smooth and even power transmission is
ensured. They require minimum maintenance
and operate without any clutches. Pumps are
driven by a splitter gear box flanged to the
engine. That means: utmost efficiency, mini-
mum wear and tear and thus optimum readi-
ness for use.
ACMAR spray
The increasing traffic density requires mainte-
nance and repair works. With this technology it
is no longer necessary to close roads for a longer
period of time. As a result of the reduced burden
for environment and traffic this system is specially
appreciated by the cities and municipalities.
Dynapac is using the patented ACMAR
spray bar which is working following the so
called “brush-stroke system”. Only this system
made it possible to spray coating material from
a paver finisher without problems. Nozzles
with a flow rate of 6 ltr/min make it possible to
spray an equal emulsion quaptity infinitely vari-

The F 150 C is able to do all conventional paving
constructions equivalent to the other Dynapac
finisher types. Additionally the F 150 C ensures
an optimum binding between the single
layers due to the simultaneous spraying of
the tack coating material (adhesive agent)
able between 200 and 1500 g/m2, independent
from the working speed. To assure accuracy the
amount of emulsion to be sprayed is dialed into
a computer that, in turn, controls the nozzles
closing/opening times. On top of that, the com-
puter is constantly receiving data from an induc-
tive puls pick-up probe representing the forward
speed of the paver. The pump pressure is fixed
and a separate drip pan ist not necessary.
The emulsion spray bar is installed at the
front of the finisher. Two spray nozzles are placed
behind the crawler tracks. This is to ensure that the
crawler tracks will not mark the applied tack coat.

F 150 C are fitted with hydraulic levelling
cylinders, which enhance the exact height
positioning of the spray bar and reduce the
loading time of the paver.
Jet brushes
The nozzles located on the telescopic exten-
sions of the spray bar open and close automati-
cally by the oscillation action of the spray bar.
At the same time the position of the outer spray
nozzles is determined this way setting-up the
working width of the system.
The so called “jet brushes” are transverse to
the drive direction and ensure a precise cover-
age within millimeters. The complete spray bar

The nozzles
The nozzles are working in the low pressure
range (flat-jet-nozzle, diameter 3,5 mm, pres-
sure 0,9 bar) to avoid bitumen mist. Addition-
ally, the spray bar is prepared with a shield
protection. The highpressure provided by the
compressor (5,5 bar) is only used to clean the
pipes after the work. With the spray bar in fixed
position (without oscillation) the paver can be
drive-direction by means of a hydraulic cylinder.
Each “jet brush“ covers an area of 20 cm length
at the width of the brush.
The oscillation of the spray bar is governed
by an electronic pulse pick-up device, pro-
portional to the paving speed of the asphalt
finisher. This assures a constant amount of tack
coat emulsion being sprayed even though the
working speed of the paver may change.

sqm needs to be sprayed the spray bar can be
set into a fixed position.

trol elements installed at the rear of the finisher
(e. g. extension/retraction of spray bar or indi-
