Activity 3

Questions of relationships and questions of differences are two types

of questions for modern quantitative researchers. Question of relationships

focuses on how two or more variables relate or vary to each other. It tells

the relation in which the variable increases or decreases also if the other

variable increases or decreases. The examples of it are: Is there a

relationship between the age and the number of hours spent on social

media? Is there a relationship between the hours spent on social media and

academic results? On the other hand, questions of differences ask if one is

different, similar or comparable to the other in terms of the results. Its

examples are: Do women drive cars faster than men? Are teenagers more

likely to text while driving than men? The difference between questions of

relationships and questions of differences are clearly stated by the names

itselves. But both of them are used to create great and effective quantitative

research.
