Design CP Control Valve

Design CP control valves (figure 1) are globe-style,
single-port valves with integral flanges, stem guiding,
clamped-in seat rings, and quick-change trim. The
Design CP control valve is available with a variety of
full-size and restricted capacity trims and various
materials ranging from steel to high-nickel alloys.

To eliminate cavitation damage in a properly-sized

1-1/2 through 4-inch valve, a CavitrolR III cage is
available. To help attenuate aerodynamic noise in
gaseous service, Whisper TrimR seat ring retainers
are available on 1-1/2 through 4-inch valves.

Features
D Compact/Light Weight— The Design CP control
valve is designed specifically for Class 150 and 300
service.

D ENVIRO-SEALR Stem Sealing to EPA

Requirements— Design CP valves are available with
ENVIRO-SEAL packing (see figures 4 and 5).
ENVIRO-SEAL packing systems provide a superior
stem seal to prevent the loss of valuable or hazardous
process fluid. They feature live-loading for reduced
packing maintenance and can control emissions to
below the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency)
minimum of 500 ppm (parts per million). Fisher also
offers a unique ENVIRO-SEAL bellows seal system for
1/2x1- through 4-inch valves (figure 6) for toxic or
lethal service.

D Superior Alloy Service Life— Premium high

alloy Design CP control valves give longer service life
which could result in a lower total cost of ownership.

D Integral Flange Design— The Design CP

control valve integral flange is available in WCC steel, Figure 1. FloVuet Final Control System (Design CP
CF3M (316L stainless steel), and various alloys. The Control Valve / System 9000 Actuator / FIELDVUER

improved ease of maintenance over other designs,
such as separable flange.
