Fibrinogen:

- Normal - 150-200 mg/dL


- Pregnancy: 300-400 mg/dL

Critical Level: 100 mg/dL i.e. below this level = uncontrolled bleeding.

In missed abortion:

If fibrinogen level > critical level = treatment

If fibrinogen level < critical level = Correct DIC first

Fresh blood = today’s date, has been withdrawn within the last 24 hours.

ttt for DIC - Fibrinogen, FFP, cryoprecipitate

Doxycycline 100mg every 12 hours.

RH -ve = anti-D

Areis-stella reaction: Progesterone protects some of the glands and ALL of the
stroma from the proliferative action of oestrogen which leads to atypical focal
adenomatous hyperplasia. It is a decidual reaction to pregnancy and not associated
with malignancy.

To diagnose ectopic you must be ectopic minded.
