Re: 2021 Food Service Van

The bid for the Food Service Van was approved at the January Board Meeting.
Yemm Chevrolet was awarded the bid. However, they have notified me that they
are no longer able to get the vehicle they bid. GM has stopped making the 2021
model year and won’t start the 2022 build until at least April.

Therefore, I am recommending that we award the higher bid to Yemm Ford. The
bid meets our specifications and I have spoken with them and there is no problem
ordering it from the factory with an expected delivery between 60-90 days.

The bids were as follows:

Yemm Ford $32,373.90 with wrong lift - did not meet our spec
Yemm Chevrolet $34,195.95 with correct lift -no longer available
Yemm Ford $35,610.90 with correct lift – recommending

The overall price difference is $1,414.95.
