Aladdin

Once upon a time, in a country far, far away, there lived a

poor tailor with his wife and their son, Aladdin. The tailor worked
with his sewing needle and thread all day, making trousers, coats
and beautiful scarves. Aladdin preferred to play with his friends
rather than helping his father.
One day, after his father died, Aladdin was walking through
the market and saw a man who was selling lamps. He had only
one coin, so he bought an old and rusty lamp.
‘This lamp is magic, my boy, take good care of it’, the
salesman said, and he disappeared like magic. Aladdin was amazed.
As he was riding his camel in the desert, the sun was shining and there were no
clouds in the sky. He pulled out the lamp from his pocket, and tried to give it a shine.
In a flash of light, that hurt his eyes, a genie appeared.
‘Who are you?’ asked Aladdin.
‘I am the Genie of the Lamp, master!’ answered the Genie. ‘Your wish is my
command!’
‘I wish you took me home, to my mother!’
And in a moment, the Genie made a spell, a magic carpet appeared, they sat on it
and flew to Aladdin’s house.
Relying on his Genie, the boy wished to marry the Sultan’s daughter. He sent
presents to her, made a great palace for her, and the Sultan approved their marriage.
But after a short time, a bad wizard came, stole Aladdin’s lamp, took the princess
and the palace out in the desert, and put the Sultan in chains. Aladdin followed them
and began a fight with the wizard.
Being a smart boy, Aladdin tricked the wizard and transformed him into a snake.
In the desert, the boy learned how to kill a snake, so by a quick move of his sword he
killed the bad wizard and set his dear wife free. The lamp was his again.
‘Take us and our palace where we used to be, Genie!’ Aladdin said.
When they arrived in their town, they rushed to the dungeon and released the
Sultan from chains.
Aladdin took his beautiful wife back to their golden palace.
They had a wonderful life with the Genie as their friend. They flew everywhere on
the magic carpet. Floating over their country, they could see who was bad who offered
clothes and food to the poor. Their country was a peaceful and safe one.
And also, Aladdin and his wife lived happily for ever after.
