The exam consist of five parts that corresponds to different contents and skills. In order to pass the
course, you need to answer at least 50% of questions from each section.

Section 1: MS WORD

1. Please create new MS Word document and name it with your student ID number and
add to header on the top of the document.
2. Please copy following text to file that you have just created:

Ryanair Ltd. (ISEQ: RYA, LSE: RYA, NASDAQ: RYAAY) is an Irish low-cost airline
headquartered in Swords, Dublin, Ireland, with its primary operational bases at Dublin
and London Stansted Airports. In 2013, Ryanair was both the largest European airline by
scheduled passengers carried, and the busiest international airline by passenger
numbers.

Ryanair operates over 300 Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with a single 737-700 maintained on
the roster as a backup plane and for crew training. The airline has been characterised by
its rapid expansion, a result of the deregulation of the aviation industry in Europe in 1997
and the success of its low-cost business model. Ryanair's route network serves 32
countries in Europe, Africa (Morocco), and the Middle East (Israel)

3. Format first paragraph:


a) Change Font to Frankling Gothic Heavy, Font Size to 13, Font color to Light Blue
b) Set all the margins to 1,2cm
c) Change Page Size to Letter
d) Change Page Orientation to Landscape
4. Format second paragraph
a) Change Style to Heading 1
b) Select whole text in paragraph 2 and draw the frame (Table Border) around it.
c) Change Background color of second paragraph to orange
5. Insert page number to left side of Header
6. Insert file name to right side of footer
7. Download logo of Ryanair and paste it to the second page of the document. Change size
to exactly 7cm x 7cm. Draw a pink frame around the pasted logo.

Section 2: MS EXCELL

1. Create new MS Excel file and name it with your student ID number
2. Copy following table to file you have just created:

3. Use conditional formatting on column All scheduled traffic/(Passenger
kilometres( Billions) ) so it higlights numbers that are above average (green background)
and below average(red background).
4. Sort table by the column All scheduled traffic/(Passenger kilometres( Billions) ) from
largest to smallest values.
5. Prepare 3D Bar chart that presents Airline name and value from the column All scheduled
traffic/(Passenger kilometres( Billions) )
6. Below the table insert row and name it Average and calculate average values for all the
columns.
7. Below the table insert row and name it Minimum and calculate minimum values for all the
columns.
8. Below the table insert row and name it Maximum and calculate maximum values for all
the columns.
9. Below the table insert row and name it Sum and sums up values from all the
columns(separately).
10. On the right side of the table Insert new column and name the Header of it German
Airline. Use IF function to check if particular airline is from Germany(for true display name
of this airline, for false type in text “not german airline”)
11. Filter the text inside the table, so it displays only German or Chinese airlines that
transported more than 70 millions passengers considering all scheduled traffic.

Section 3: MS Power Point

1. Use MS PowerPoint for the following exercise:


 Create a new 5 slide PowerPoint presentation using a template with blue background.
 Add your ID number to file name and on the header in the first slide.
 Add logo of UITM(download it first) to the left side of the footer – it should be visible on all
slides
 Add your name and surname to the center of the footer and date to the right side of the
footer
 Add Title to the first slide – Aviation Management at UITM. As a subtitle type down your
name and surname
 Paste any part of excel table (that you have created in previous section) to slide 2.
 Insert random Pie chart to slide 3.
 Insert logo of Lufthansa to slide 4.
 Add random transitions to the presentation
 Type text “Thank you for your attention” to the last slide.
