about the Affiliate Program for my Course

When will I be paid for a sale?

Affiliates are paid on the first of each month (or closest business day) for all
sales made over 30 days prior to that date, a schedule made necessary by
Teachable’s 30-day refund policy. The course creator (me) is also paid at the
same schedule.

How Does Teachable Handle Multiple Affiliate Attribution?

A cookie is created when a user clicks an affiliate link, regardless of whether or

not they purchase the course. This cookie is valid for the "cookie period" of 60
days, or until the user's browser cache is cleared.

In practical terms, this means that even if someone clicks an affiliate’s link, leaves
the site, and returns to purchase later—the sale will still be counted towards the
affiliate (as long as the user is on the same device and browser, has not cleared
their cache, and is within the cookie period).

If there are multiple affiliates that are marketing to the same student, the
attribution will go to the affiliate that most recently marketed towards the
student (i.e. last-touch attribution). This is because cookie can overwrite
each other, and even if there is a pre-existing cookie that has not expired—a
newly created cookie will take precedence.

How Does Affiliate Dashboard Work?

When you log in (using the same login information as when you first enrolled as a student) to
the Teachable school you will have a link in your navigation bar labeled Affiliate. Clicking
this you will get the Affiliate View.

Also shown is a breakdown of the affiliate's earnings and revenue for the last 7 days, 30
days, and all time.
Sales

In the Sales tab, you will see a history of the transactions you have been credited for.

Also shown is a breakdown of an affiliate's credited transactions. This information includes

the number of sales credited, the sale price, and the earnings the affiliate received.

Payout Details

In the Payout Details tab, you can configure your payout information. You will be paid out
by Teachable to your PayPal account.
