Date: Ref: 30/04/2020 30/2020 Circular No. 30/2020 Regarding criteria related to the classification of startups ll Economic and industrial licenses in Abu Dhabi Greetings, Further to the administrative decision issued by the Chairman of the Department of Economic Development No. 87/2020 regarding the definition of startups for the purposes of qualification for any incentive or backup or exemptions granted by the government of Abu Dhabi in its quest to contain the outbreak of the corona pandemic via preventive measures, ADDED hereby stresses that the following criteria shall be applied for the implementation of mechanism: = Economic startups: + not exceeding 5 years from its license date and; ‘* number of effective employees below 50 without counting the partners ~ Industrial startups: ‘+ not exceeding 10 years from its license date; ‘+ number of effective employees below 1100 without counting the partners. ‘These measures will remain valid until further circular about this subject is issued.
