Clock / Alarms
Step 1. From the 850-DS main screen, press the Instrument tab.
Step 2. Press the NEXT button.
Step 3. Select Date /Time. In the Time section, select the time format of 12 hour or 24 hour.
Step 4. Press the Time field. Enter the current time in the appropriate format and press RETURN.
Step 5. Press the Date field. Enter the current date in the appropriate format and press RETURN.
Step 6. Record the time on the 850-DS display while simultaneously starting a calibrated timer.
Step 7. Record the input time and the timer display in the table beneath Step 8,
Step 8. Verify the clock setting relative to a calibrated timer after a minimum of one hour and
record the data in the following table:

Step 9. Press RETURN to return to the 850-DS main screen.
Step 10. Press the Alarms tab.
Step 1. In the Alarm Section, select the Timer Alarm field. Enter 00:01 for elapsed time and press
RETURN.
Step 12. Verify that the alarm sounds after one minute and the “Alarm Time Expired” screen pops
up.
Step 13. Press RETURN to clear the pop-up window.
